The benefits are remarkable and we are both feeling tremendously better with more energy, sleeping better and much more. Thank goodness for you two and others like yourselves sharing real, helpful advice. Following conventional medical advice lead to decades of merely getting sicker and sicker.

Ummm... @ 27:15 HE POINTS OUT SOMETHING VERY, VERY IMPORTANT! Is this in his book? 🤨 😧 😯 I was planning on putting it in a smoothie to blend it up but he says it kills the microbes!!!??? Just hope he makes this clear to everyone else trying to make this as I'd say this is as important as having to refrigerate it after it's done cooking!
no kidding, I've been making custard 6 weeks, at first 2T Inullin created separated liquidy custard and I blended it with my immersion stick!!!! I still got great results physically so must not have killed probiotics too bad! within 5 days I was getting great reduction in inflammation and depression! now that I reduced to 1T inulin I get perfect custard.
Dr. Davis speaks about three microbes he grows in a yoghurt, L. Reuteri, L. Gasseri, and Bacillus coagulans. Is it ok to add all three together when making the yoghurt?
L. Reuteri needs to ferment longer, 36 hours, so I am not sure you can make them together, but I don't know. I make LR all the time. It's a game changer.
He has a recipe for all three in his book. Basically, yes, you can grow all three in the half n half/inulin mixture. It “ferments” for 36 hours at around 106 degrees…just hot enough to make the two bacteria happy and grow but not too hot to kill the l. Reuteri. Supposed to be good for SIBO. You could also ferment the l.reuteri seperately from the other two at the lower temperature of around 99-100. Then, after they are finished and cooled mix together or just mix together when you consume them.
I healed my gut by elimateing all veg, fruit and of course fiber. I eat only ruminent meat, fatty fish, eggs and cheeze. Went strict carnivour 2.5 years ago, now the health is much improved.
Fermented foods raise histamine & herpes virus breakouts. What is the best thing to ferment or turn to yogurt if you are DAIRY & histamine intolerant? I'm already taking 1000 mg of lysine daily and D3. No eating processed foods, on the Lion diet. Where can I get your starter that's the least dairy or least to aggravate the histamine or lactose?
@@MsBuffalopoo is there any specific number of hours and temperature needs to be set when using coconut milk? And is there any specific probiotics strain we can use with honey? Instead of sugar?
You asked some very good questions. I was particularly interested in how long it takes to get a reaction from foods if you have SIBO. I sometimes will have a reaction immediately, and the next time I eat the same food, I have no reaction or a delayed reaction. Some docs say that SIBO is a motility issue. I know for sure that I do have that issue. I have only watched a handful of videos with this doctor, but haven't heard him mention that. Maybe the motility issue is caused by SIBO ?🤷♀️
So many questions that go unanswered on important subjects like this, but I understand they can't be answering hundreds of them. I just wonder the impact of barley in beer and the gut microbiome health. I feel great when I drink beer, especially IPAs (very bitter ones).
I can only tell you my experience. I love (loved more appropriate now ) IPA's. In science experiments you should change one variable at a time. But I was in a hurry so I quit drinking and went carnivore 19 months ago at the same time. A chronic bronchitis that developed around 2000 went away after 3 weeks. Was it the lack of carbohydrates only? I don't know. I do know that I'd rather not wake up in the middle of the night and cough for two hours than enjoy an IPA. I have recently discovered Dr. Davis (via Dr. Berg) and am about to try the l. reuteri et al program. I'll give it a month and then maybe try an IPA or two to see what happens. Maybe not. I have never felt better, so why risk eating/drinking something that makes one feel worse. For those keeping score at home I started at 71 1/2
Somebody please explain the starter yoga to me once we make a batch and we use a tablespoon or two to make the second batch. Do we keep taking a tablespoon or two out of each batch going forward or do we have to start over each time? I’m a little confused on that part.
Yes. It's that simple. Once you have fermented a batch of the yogurt, then you start the next batch from a little of that and eat the rest - and so on.
Yes, it's true that how you do it. Unfortunately it gives me serious arthritis. Milk and butter I can eat but not that stuff or cheese. It seems the growth (life) in it attacks me.
@@toni4729 so if I make a batch, I take some out of it and put it in in the next batch in the next batch. I take some out of that and put it in the next one so on and so on correct
I've been making l-reuteri per Dr Davis' recipe for several years using OG Coconut milk (canned - plus 1 TBSP inulin or green banana flour and 1 tsp og sugar - coconut milk doesn't have enough sugar for the fermentation) i culture mine (in a glass jar in a couple of inches of water) in small crock pot that i turn on periodically for 15 minutes
What about Maggie the rancher from Montana? Carnivore 60 yrs perfect health, zero fiber. Dr. Laura Weideman no fiber over 20 yrs??. Perfect health . Ken Berry no fiber over 6 yrs, Shawn Baker, Anthony Chaffee .. etc. I can go on for days.
Have you tried fermented Simple Kneads organic gluten free sourdough bread? Its SOOOOO Good. Just curious IF its still a no no... according to Dr Davis. Im guessing its still a no no. :(
Kimchi is the bomb too! But if you buy it at the store... be sure to read the lable...cause they put some stuff in it you might want to avoid ... like sugar. You can actually make your own clean kimchi at home - pretty simple! video *A small batch kimchi recipe you'll want to make over and over! Mak Kimchi* channel *Korean Bapsang*
In Europe the Bread doesn't upset a stomach so says everyone. I had the pasta there and seemed so much healthier. Isn't it the Spray the fill ours with?
It’s actually the wheat and what they HAVEN’T done to it. America’s wheat is frankenwheat; major GMO to produce more and has substantially higher gluten. Plus sprayed with tons of glyphosate (round up) Very bad for consumption.
In the UK around the time of the 2nd WW they started breeding (not the same as GMO) wheat so that it would be shorter & stronger to stand up to our weather so we could feed more people with limited agricultural land. The result of this is that the wheat has more gluten in it. Both my husband & I find that we can’t eat gluten containing products in the UK, but if we go to France, for example, the bread etc does not cause the same gut issues.
I purchased the book and did the gut health plan 2 months ago. I still make the yogurt and take the supplements suggested in the book. Unfortunately it did not work for me. I still suffer from constipation and have to take large amounts of magnesium just to have a bm and my hair is still falling out. 😢 The only improvement is better sleep, and my skin looks clearer and smoother.
I have been on the diet since 2020. It has been very beneficial but as the previous comment, I still suffer with constipation constipation. What can I do. I take the magnesium seltzer water.

Although IVM is used to treat helminth infections, there have been reports that it can also function as an antimicrobial agent [34,35]. To first determine if IVM exhibited antimicrobial activity in the context of the gut microbiota, flow cytometry was performed to measure the proportion of dead to live bacterial cells, before, during, and after IVM addition (Figure 1). Immediately after addition, there was a large jump in cell mortality in the proximal colon communities, but less in the distal colon communities, for all three nutritional formulations tested (control, ISF, and SF). This observation was logical as IVM was added directly only to the proximal colon, and the distal communities only received IVM indirectly, as the fluid within the proximal colon was transferred to the distal colon region during feeding. Cell numbers stabilized after this initial addition and, in some cases, even started to recover. Notably, the proportion of dead bacterial cells measured in the cultures provided SF nutrition was much less than in ISF, and losses in both SF and ISF were less than in the control communities. Figure 1. Figure 1
I have read Super Gut. I bought his LR Superfood starter. Also, ordered Dr Mercola’s L Gasseri. Do I also need to purchase Bacillus Coagulans? If so, what brand is best?
Thank you Dr Morgan, you are asking the questions that I am asking too like Oxalates, carnivore diet and ha ha sourdough bread that we can't just give up 😂😂😂 Life is tough for foodies like us having to go through withdrawals not just for gluten foods and then you find the healthy and non gluten foods are high in Oxalates. We need our cakes and now even almond flour won't do! 😅😅

Hi, william davis .I made the yogurt.I did everything you showed on the video when I put it in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 Hours it had a lot of liquid on the side of the Bowl it was clumpy looking not fluffy like yours Is that the way it should be?
It gets better. My first batch I actually drank most of it. I also kept checking the temperature to make sure it was close. By my fourth batch, I didn’t check the temperature by opening up the lid, and my yogurt is thick and creamy. Don’t quit.
Some people just remix it back together after it has completely cooled. He says it’s perfectly fine to consume or drain. The liquid “whey” can also be used as the starter for the next batch.
how can I do the yogourt if inulin (a FODMAP), kills my guts. Like I literally want to die. How can I make the yogourt if this happens? Is it possible without the inulin?
When making this fermented dairy, the Inulin is eaten by the probiotic, therefore you are not ingesting Inulin, your ingesting Probiotics, the Inulin has been devoured and is no longer in the product you’ve fermented.
Could you just take the tablet? I think my osteoporosis came from antibiotic use. Ruptured appendix at 4 years onward to Cdiff numerous times long term.
Because of the fermentation process! It multiplies the bacteria strains immensely - you could not take that many tablets or capsules to get the same quantities

Dr. Davis speaks about three microbes he grows in a yoghurt, L. Reuteri, L. Gasseri, and Bacillus coagulans. Is it ok to add all three together when making the yoghurt?
Following.
In other podcast he mentioned you can do all 3 together 36 hours at 99F / 37C
What’s the link to that podcast please ? I’m confused on this part as well .
Can I use store bought greek yogurt as a starter and hold for 36 hours to get better greek yogurt?
Have u any vids or info on gut bacteria for lungs

Is it true L. Reuteri can be found in sourdough and kimchi? According to Google

Thanks for watching! Hope you found it helpful.
Dairy products cause constipation. try removing them from your diet and fermenting vegan substrates
Awesome guest. So informative. Morgan struggling with the hard proven truths about harms of grains….understandable tho.

@@goolash9991unless it’s organic. I like Ezekiel sprouted wheat Bread. But I rarely eat it because of the carbs.

I have been on the diet since 2020. It has been very beneficial but as the previous comment, I still suffer with constipation constipation. What can I do. I take the magnesium seltzer water.
Sometimes healing takes time.
You also have to eliminate grains, wheats, and refined sugars to prevent SIBO, while also repopulating your gut with the supplements.

Ivermectin is a fermented prebiotic. Gave to much to my cats one weekend, I had drunk cats everywhere. Thank God he gave them nine lives!

@@marciaouellet1 it is a staple in my house too. My question is will ivermectin only work on viral issues and not kill good bacteria in my gut?

Hi, william davis .I made the yogurt.I did everything you showed on the video when I put it in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 Hours it had a lot of liquid on the side of the Bowl it was clumpy looking not fluffy like yours Is that the way it should be?
He has said the 1st batch would be yucky but use some for next batch and it will be better .
Where are these trials taking place? I want to participate!🙋🏻♂️
Does this also combat sifo at the same time?

how can I do the yogourt if inulin (a FODMAP), kills my guts. Like I literally want to die. How can I make the yogourt if this happens? Is it possible without the inulin?
I think you can just take the L. Reuteri without making the yogurt. I just take enough of the powder (mix in water) to get to 300 billion

The problem is that the tablet has significantly less bacteria than what can be achieved in a tablespoon of the yogurt.
@@Gengh13why does the yogurt have more bacteria if it’s made from the bacteria in the tablet?
Because of the fermentation process! It multiplies the bacteria strains immensely - you could not take that many tablets or capsules to get the same quantities
