I think it's maybe partly because of a more layed back tropical culture. Here in the west many people would feel they don't have time to 'waste' on showing a stranger where to go.
Kurt! Great video and good to see you back. That potato-like vegetable you ate is not “burrfroo”, it is breadfruit! A tropical fruit that we have also where I am from in the Indian Ocean. Very nice, I like especially sliced very thin and deep fried into chips. Keep it up bro mucho gracias 🤙
Enjoyed the video - going to a place tourists wouldn't dare and interacting with the locals. I love how everyone is so chill and happy, also super useful that they speak English, beautiful weather, nice food and lots of drinks. Completely reminded me of the Caribbean with the accents. Respek! lol
I've travelled a lot in many "dangerous countries" and the only places where you actually risk something are the touristy places not the barrios or the casbahs... because most of the thieves and oddballs go there looking exactly for the scared asshat tourist. With obvious limitations: for instance I would HAVE NOT gone alone, with a local motoconcho, at that cock-fighting thing in the middle of nowhere... gambling, money, alcohol and drugs mixed with being in a desolated place are way to much, luckily Kurt got the right honest guy to bring him there, someone else could have easily "sold" Kurt to some local krooks at the place and dropped him off in a specific place on his way back to be robbed, he would have been at their total mercy.
Yo, great to have you back, ok? On a serious note, thanks for sharing parts of Colombia we colombians don't even care to visit. You really show the other non so fancy side of our country. Be sure to visit Santader some day!

The man is finally back, been waiting patiently for an upload. Glad to see you Kurt! 👍
Almost everybody goes to this island to see the turquoise water and and the beaches - like me. You choose the dangerous barrio😅 Thats so unique! Nice to see you again, greetings from colombia!
This man is not affraid of anything dawg
This is the best channel on UA-cam. This bloke will go anywhere and slide right into the culture. 🤜🤛👍
18:54 "What's the name of this?" "Soup" 😭😭 what a legend
lmao I swear this man never fails to find some random person and have them stick by you/tour you, got some divine fate
I think it's maybe partly because of a more layed back tropical culture. Here in the west many people would feel they don't have time to 'waste' on showing a stranger where to go.
I swear it’s like he has the gods sending him guides 😂😂😂
- What’s a local dish?
- Soup
- It has a name?
- JUST Soup 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 that guy was Drunk AF lol

Leveling up your fashion, Kurt, nice!! Great video, always so interesting to see the bird's eye view of the real parts of the countries you visit, you do this best.
that mototaxi wanted to stay for the fight but he did you a solid getting out of there early. The eyes on your bag when you placed a bet man...
Kurt: You speak english?
Random local: That's what I'm speaking!
Thank you Kurt for showing me more of my beautiful country. I have been away far too long.
How have you travelled all over and never had roasted Breadfruit before Kurt??? 🤣
Another cool video adventure man! I find their accents sound very Caribbean....almost Guyanese and sometimes close to Vincentian.
That's probably bcs we are caribbean! The language is closer to belizean creole(kriol) tho.
@@martnmoreno7 agreed....and of course the people of Belize are of island origins. Out of many we are all one people. 👍
Dude your life is amazing. Thank u for sharing your experiences w/ the world

Kurt, I hope life keeps you safe as you bring us great content. Please be safe and careful. You are a very good person to the travel community. It would be very devastating to lose you to some random robber. Thank you for the content you give us. Me and my brother love getting drunk and watching your videos. You’re a very cool dude. Lots of love from America.

Kurt becomes an honorary citizen of every country in Latin America, Kurt is promoting Latin America...so much that I am planning to go to Colombia just to see the Botero sculptures in the park.
Kurt's ability to befriend people amazes me. I swear one day his video is going to be how he's the new Monarch of an Island where the people think he's God
It's easy to befriend latinos if u are a foreigner😂
Only you Simps LMAO. A dude like this appears where I'm from and they'll ignore the ish outta him or try to rob him
Calm down my friend
That tour guide did not drink the beer before getting there he got something else 😂😂
somebody blasting congolese music in some barrio in the middle of Colombia... you just gotta love it
Glad to see you again. You are the biggest risk taker I know and you always manage to pull it off safely. I like Colombia too. I get to see the sketchy parts through your camera. Good video. Keep safe. Pax.
