very underrated channel yet very informative and indepth, thanks shok for everything you're bringing to the community, i'm becoming a better player everyday thanks to your videos ! keep up the good work !
It's interesting how this skill can carry over from completely different genres of games and you will have an immediate advantage over players who don't utilize this skill, I remember being GM in overwatch and in a rein vs rein tank matchup they would often firestrike on cooldown and you could ult when they are in the animation which becomes 100x easier when you're counting the CD in your head
I've been struggling with my Tali. It's like either I stomp the game or get stomped based on draft. Blinkers like kass, kat, zed make my life hard lol. Love the content as usual.
Shok, With the help of your videos and Curtis's I was able to quickly learn one of the most fun roles in the game, already reached D3, first year mid laning, thank you
Great video shok I love your guides. Do you have another video that elaborates more on knowing when to use your cooldowns? Like obviously it's a bad idea to perma-save your stun as a xerath or syndra but you're in an even worse spot if you waste them, and the balancing act is difficult for me. Is knowing how to balance risk/reward with cooldowns just something that comes with time? Keep on keeping on man you're very well spoken
is there a good way to practice these concepts in isolation? practicing punishing cds, baiting cds with movement/positioning, timing cds (or even just being aware they've been used), is a lot to handle while playing a normal game with so many other factors already happening. you would hate to die to a gank because you played aggressively when they use a big cooldown for example. would you recommend smurfing and playing against easier opponents to practice this? or just review the game afterwards to look for missed opportunities?
Would you advise to prioritise hugging the side towards your jungler or to the side opposite to the enemy jungler? Assuming that both junglers are mirrored, Which should I prioritise?
Hey Shok, great video! Can you explain some options you have when the enemy can perma kill you or when the enemy doesnt allow any form of real interaction in lane? In Low Elo it is very common that Malzahar players just shove lane and stay at their mid tower and there is nothing on the map to interact with.
Champs that just afk push can normally be punished when they used CDs on the wave, if you can keep the wave out in the middle or on your side it's much easier to deny CS or punish them than if they are under tower
Another big dick video Shok. Quick question, when tracking CD's for you and other high elo players would you say that it's generally more of a feel/mental estimation of how long it's been since the spell has been casted or do you actually make note of the in-game time when the spell is casted and reference in-game time for when it will be back up. Cheers!
What to do against cheese match ups or lane bullies? Unfortunately I do not play league of legends, but I do play other mobile Moba games such as mobile legends and LOL wild rift, The same concepts apply to them but I really hate it when there's a champ that is an just walk up to you lvl 1 and force your to stay under turret unable to CS or farm Should I AA and cast my spells onto them? Or should I trade HP for EXP from the minions and try get lvl 2 and win the trade somehow.. What should I do?
It depends on the game you play In lol xp is much more valuable than gold but you can get it from very far so it is really rare to get zoned from xp. Yet you would rather lose cs or xp than health because being behind on health can snowball into conceding more cs and eventually the lane. If you just wait minions will come to you in most cases, it is fine to lose some when it pushes to you to make sure you are healthy when they crash into your tower. Because else you get dove and lose the lane on the spot. By definition, lane bullies are good at early fights. So versus lane bullies, you want to avoid early fights. This translate into them having a cs lead. If they don’t build up a big cs lead and fail to kill you in lane, you get out of laning phase ahead. But at most elo it is likely that they won’t know how to build a cs lead and will rather look to kill you instead. Avoid fights and they will give you more than enough cs to match and outscale them. A lane bully needs a gold lead to be even. You goal is not to get ahead but to be even. So accept to give them the gold lead they are legitimate to claim.
Honestly not sure I can give advice for other games, but generally you'd just be trying to get farm and trade defensively. If they trade onto you trade back from in your minions since minions are strong enough early to help you win trades in bad matchups

I struggle with this as well! This is a video I'd also like to see
Hmm I don't have a video on that currently, I'll have to think about how I'd make it
I said this before but I love how concise your videos are
Quick question, Is Sylas, Ahri, and Akshan a good mid lane champ pool
Yeah it's solid

May be you should try joinning custom 1v1 game or find a friends that also wang to practise that skill.
Practice 1v1s or watch vods imo, otherwise yea it's pretty hard to practice in isolation
Would you advise to prioritise hugging the side towards your jungler or to the side opposite to the enemy jungler?
Assuming that both junglers are mirrored, Which should I prioritise?
Normally towards your jungler so that you can move first if they fight in river
@@ShokLeague thank you very much ❤️

as Malza main, after pushing the wave I make map pressure In case I can 1v1 the jg and if not I move with the jungle or just ward the jungle

man i rarely comment on youtube but you are a gift for league of legend players
Hey shok what is your secondary role
Normally I queue mid > ad or mid > support

Mostly I'd say it's an estimate, sometimes I would count spells that are short cooldowns though like 6s or so
i hasnt climbed in elo but with your guides my wr has improved :)
Will you ever do a guide on irelia?
Not for a long time, it's not a champ I play
