  • The Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 in 10mm has a lot of features that are above and beyond their other military and police 2.0 models. The trigger has been improved, the grip texturing is more aggressive, and it comes with suppressor height sights and optics ready. The M&P 2.0 that are optics ready aslo come with optics plates for all of the popular red dots. The S&W M&P in 10mm proved to be easy to shoot with mild to light recoil which was a pleasant surprise. In this initial review I found the gun to be feature rich, very accurate, and a joy to shoot!

    Nice video. Dont listen to the UA-cam nay sayers who speak from 3 person reviews based on one or two others vids. Im 300+ hot rounds ("full power") into my 4" with NOT ONE single issue. 15 round mags, very comfortable to shoot.. S&W did an excellent job.

    Great video brother! I pick up mine next week, can't wait. It's my first 10mm. Bought some Underwood 165gr FMJ and Underwood 165gr JHP. I chose the 4.6" model. Super excited to shoot it! Thanks for the great content.

    I was able to get my hands on one of these at the lgs. I didn’t get to shoot it, however the look and how it feels in hand is amazing. I’ll be getting mines this week.

    It runs 40S&W well at the cost of running full power 10mm. Mine won't run full power 10mm 200 or 220 loads reliably at all. It I wanted to run 40, I'd carry a 40.

    People whine and cry about the recoil on the 10mm and they probably haven't even shot the 10mm yea it has some pop but so does the .45 or a 9mm in a macro pistol. I love the bigger bang and love how it shoots lasers

    Nice review. I really think S&W hit a home run with this particular model. I’m an avid bestmillimeter shooter, and this has become what I recommend is everyone’s first 10mm pistol.

    I just picked up one of these recently and I also plan on putting a streamlight tlr-7a on it as well. What holster maker/model did you go with? I'm looking for an OWB with the QLS hole pattern for my range belt.

    Love mine…except…shooting high powered loads the other day and the plastic optics plate mount sheared off. The Holosun hit me in the forehead and created a little gash. Needless to say I ordered a metal one from C&H Precision

    The Springfield 3.8 or the Glock 29 it's great to have a 10mm because you're actually getting good speeds since the shorter barrel does kill the speed so that 10mm brings it back up into the 1200+FPS range. People who whine and complain about the 10mm haven't shot one nor owned one but once you do it's hard to go back to anything else lol

    Nice video thanks. I wanted to get the 10mm but they were hard to catch in stock. I ordered the 9mm and soon and I put the order in with my ffl dealer the 10mm became available. Oh well I guess I may put in my paperwork to get one later in the future. I didn't see a link for the gun holster used in this video. Can you provide one or was it custom made?

    Interesting that you can run 40mm through it. I did not know that. Any downside in your opinion to running 40mm through it?

    • @shootersresourcechannel642
      @shootersresourcechannel642  2 роки тому +3

      40 is slightly shorter than 10mm so it won’t fit the chamber exactly and I expect carbon will build up faster in those areas it is not filling. It will be important to clean after shooting 40 to prevent carbon build up that could lead to higher pressures. Thanks for stopping by Mike.

      You shouldn't.
      These rimless cases headspace off the case mouth.
      The case mouth is way shorter on the 40.
      In an emergency yeah, you can but it's not wise to make a habit of it.

    The Turkey opinion guy has spoken This pistol does not do well with real rounds. I believe this pistol is also slowing down your times. Try the Springfield and cargo shorts and I guarantee you will pick up some time. Cheers

    • @nicholasyoung2828
      @nicholasyoung2828 2 роки тому +3

      Everyone speaks from 3rd person reviews.. Turkey must have gotten a lemon because im up 300+ rounds of hot loads from 135gr to 200gr with the 4" model and NOT ONE single issue with "full power" rounds. Anything heavier than 200gr @1250+fps in a polymer frame pistol is pushing it.. good way to lessen the life of a $700 gun... and for the record xd's are junk, glocks are clunks, and most bear are dropped with a 9mm in pistol shelf defense scenarios.....

      What’s a “real,” round? What’s the minimum muzzle energy/velocity for a “teal, round?

    • @yeetyeet8365
      @yeetyeet8365 2 роки тому

      I believe most bear are dropped with 9 mm and I bet 357:and 44 mag are next on the list. The whole 10 mm pistol for Bear defense is a jump on the herd mentality band wagon. Pistol in heavy Alder cover doesn’t even go together. Should not even be allowed. I have 500 Linebaugh 475 LINEBAUGH 454 CASULL 480 Ruger and a 375 H and H. The 480 RUGER GETS IT HANDS DOWN. Manageable recoil and plenty of power. The 454 is the worst as far as follow up shots. 475 is the magical number as far as penetration goes and what’s the 10 mm 41 mag status. I have 3 10mm and they belong in the concrete jungle not the outdoors. Like wearing white socks with flip flops. Get a BFR IN 475 Linebaugh and you can shoot 480 Ruger out of it. Best o both worlds or 480 Alaskan. Just another third party opinion in socks and flip flops. Ha Cheers.

      @@nicholasyoung2828 I just bought mine. I got 3 jams ( bullet was at an angle with top of bullet on the top lip of the chamber) out of 20 rounds using doubleTap ammo..I believe it was 230 grain flat nose. I tried HST with 200 grains with no issues. I called smith and wessen and they said not to use over 200 grain bullets. I hope that is all it was. They test their guns with blaser ammo. Note...all the jam issues reported have been the same with bullet at an angle stuck above the chamber.

      I’ve run into the same thing a few times with other firearms since I buy and sell quite a few. If interference is minor and you’re not able to return the holster, I often apply heat to the area of the kydex that is experiencing the interference and I use a hard object (flat file, steel object, etc) to press and reshape it. It is important to ensure the gun will fit after only slight modification and that you don’t compromise the holsters main safety feature, which is preventing things from engaging the trigger.
