    My 4” M&P 10 mm fits inside my Tier 1 Concealed (Xiphos V2) holster that I originally got for my 4” M&P 9 mm with the Streamlight TLR-7A. Fits easily too, without any force.

    • @360TacticalSolutions
      @360TacticalSolutions  7 місяців тому

      Yes it's because of the way that Tier1 has designed their holster molds with less definition than a lot of other holsters. In the case of the 10mm M&P that works out. I mean the 9mm, 40, 45 and 10mm all have different slide dimensions and some would argue that you lose some of the stability for a gun like a 9mm because of that. Of course there is also the light to factor in. The frame sizing between a 9mm and a 10mm is considerably different so in the case of a light bearing holster where everything indexes to the light instead of the frame that certainly leaves a lot of room for using a different gun than what its made for. I actually use the McKinatec universal holster for mine and it works really well. I can swap between nearly all of my guns and still use the same holster as long as my TLR1 is mounted to it

    Love my M&P 2.0 10mm with no safety lever and a 4.625 inch quad ported barrel by Mag-Na-Port and I use a Floyd’s Custom mag well and use Floyd’s Custom one round no spring change base pad. And use a Carver Custom HEAVY tungsten guide rod replacement. Along with a C&H Precision aluminum mounting plate for a Holosun 508T red dot. And X/S steel optic height tritium night sights upgrade. Streamlight TAC light and green laser. Apex flat black aluminum trigger. I love the upgrade ability of the M&P 2.0 10mm.

    I make custome kydex holsters. I have the 4.6in M&P10 and I love it. I carried it every day until I got my hands on the Sig XTen. That's my new EDC setup. The M&P is now a backpack gun. I run the G40 MOS for duty. Absolute 10MM freak here. I also reload Hornady XTP 200gr ammo for practicing, and always carry the 175gr Critical Duty. I will say, I hated my Holosun popping off and shearing the screws into the slide from the stupid plastic plates they have.

    Excellent review! I like your outlook, as to your statement as to you just never know what one might run into in the wilderness, that is so true! Which makes me very appreciative to live in the Land of the 2A!
    I think this S&W 2.0 in 10mm is a promising pistol for Wilderness Defense against apex predatorial beasts or for Hunting purposes.
    You basically covered it from A to Z with one exception there is a Lanyard Loop feature in the removable tool, in the Butt of the pistol. Which might need a hook-on swivel attached to a metal ring in order to hook on a Lanyard strap. In my local Gun shop, I test-tried the S&W 2.0 4 1/4 inch barrel model, in my Gun Flower EDC Tactical Open Concealed Carry Pouch and it fit. The Gun Flower EDC Pouch is a good option for carrying such in the wilderness.
    Wishing you, Safe Adventures and Journeys!

      It’s tough packing every detail in a video lol. I start most videos with about an hour to an hour and 20min of talking footage and have to cut it down to about 10min worth of final video. Any more than that and people skip right past it. I think with the tool built into the grip I skipped over that primarily because its something that they did back with the first edition of the M&P through to the 2.0 and its just basically something all of them have. Anyways its a solid gun and I love shooting it…I dont love buying the ammo but I do love shooting it lol

    I work at a local gun shop where I live. We have installed the Apex trigger that is fit for the 45acp and they work great. No polishing needed. We have put well over 500 rounds with no problems. I would recommend it.

    • @360TacticalSolutions
      @360TacticalSolutions  Рік тому

      I got an email from Apex that the trigger had been certified for use finally for the 10mm and 45. It wasnt a matter of it not functioning, it was a matter of waiting for the safety testing to be completed. If one of your customers did have an issue your work 100% would have been liable for installing a trigger the manufacturer specifically said to not put it into. Sure the trigger functions but you have opened up the business to literally be litigated into bankruptcy.

    Thank for the review. I just bought a 4.6 version. I would like a chest carry but it’s hard to find still.
    I have ordered a variety of underwood including 220 grain which is what most people seem to have issues with. Also some lower pressure range ammo just for a bit of break in. I’m concerned about some of the heavier loads not running well since that’s what I plan to carry. This gun will be specifically for woods carry.
    I was contemplating a heavier recoil spring for $35 to offset some of the punishing recoil and mag springs to help get a bit more push but had not considered the extension. I will now!
    They say this gun has a 17# recoil spring but a 21 or 22 is much better.

    Interesting.
    I've got the S&W M&P 10mm M2.0 4.6" pistol, to which I too added the +5 magazine extension from Floyd's, and the longer stronger 11-coil magazine springs from Springer Precision. My mags will now hold 20 rounds of 10mm Auto ammo. However, with the slide forward / closed, the magazine won't fully seat. No issues fully seating with 19+1. This magazine extension is (only) a +3 for the .45 ACP cartridge.
    Also, my Multi Holsters "2-In-1" and L.A.G. Tactical "Defender" Kydex holsters made for my S&W M&P 9 M2.0 pistols (5" FullSize down to 4" Compact) also perfectly accomodate my M&P 10mm M2.0 4.6" pistol. The same goes for my Craft (Falco) Holsters 5" leather vertical light-bearing shoulder holster. That same "Defender" holster also perfectly retains my M&P 9 M2.0 3.6" Subcompact.
    Good things! 👍

  • @jpg_sig10
    @jpg_sig10 4 місяці тому +1

    Light for caliber, fast expanding 10mm Auto rounds, like Underwood Ammo's:
    - 155 Gr (Hornaday) XTP JHP
    - 165 Gr (Speer Gold Dot) Bonded JHP
    leave huge devestating wound channels, but they're relatively shallow.
    I've seen lots of 10% ballistic gel tests showing typical depths of 11" ~ 14". So given that, and their huge energy dump, these should be great one-shot-stop defensive rounds against human attackers, with minimal risk of over-penetration.
    In my 4.6" M&P, they're very controllable, being louder and snappier, but with less push back, than Underwood's 10mm Auto 180 Gr XTP JHP (which penetrates deeper).
    Good things! 👍

    Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I was in the market years ago for a high capacity high caliber pistol and while I was up on vacation in Colorado I got to speaking with a police officer that highly recommended the Glock 20 as it’s the #1 choice for the police out in bear country so I bought my first Glock 20 about 7 years ago and then second one soon after and now my newest gen5 mos and after thousands of rounds and dollars from cheaper ball Ammo to a lot of underwood and not even one malfunction. So, that being said, nothing is as reliable as a Glock, nothing. Smith and Wesson M&P10 has had a lot of reliability issues so I’d think long and hard before going up in bear country with a pistol that’s jammed on you and especially worry more under freezing, wet and dirty conditions.

The other option is that you could use the Springer precision spring and cut one or two coils off of it. I almost like the option of stretching the spring best though

      Apex certified the flat face trigger right after I did this video. I have one sitting on my desk for it. I have one in my 4” 9mm and I have the metal competitor 5” I’m waiting to have clear the background check. If the apex works in the metal frame I’ll probably put it on there and keep the 10mm stock.

      This is wildly incorrect. The 9mm/40 gives you a +6 while the 45/10mm extensions give you +3

    This is insane on Smith & Wesson. You shouldn't have to spend extra money on accessories in order for a gun to function. They just need to stick with making 9/40 and what makes smith & Wesson so bad that they don't even make 40 anymore with the new mos m&p lineup.
    Sig is in the same boat with the 357! How do you develop a round for firearms that you're not interested in making anymore.

    • @360TacticalSolutions
      @360TacticalSolutions  Місяць тому

      Well…not to be rude but you missed the mark on all points. Sig isnt interested in their 357 because sales have been horrible since the round was released. They thought they had a winner but over time people have leaned away from it so the company has as well.
      The 10mm M&P really was developed for the vast majority of firearm owners and the vast majority of those people are primarily using standard range ammo. Thats what the gun is tuned to. Its really only the high powered stuff people have an issue with and theres such a difference between both sets of ammo that you obviously cant please everyone so they aimed for the majority vs the minority. I understand the business of it.
      As for the .40 M&P thats similar to the Sig situation. People are leaning away from the round so it doesnt make sense to dump a bunch of money into a gun thats hardly selling enough units to justify the cost of the tooling to make them. Although, it’s not true that S&W has stopped making .40 with their new designs…they just launched the Metal M&P 2.0 in .40 and honestly I dont expect sales to be great. Either people will buy the hell out of that gun or it’s going to push S&W even closer to discontinuing the line of .40 all together. Financially it only makes sense for them to focus on 9mm with how the government is treating firearm manufacturers these days.

      @360TacticalSolutions How did I miss the mark on all points when it's my opinion on M&P putting out something that doesn't work. It's unacceptable if they know people are having problems with a magazine issue. People invest in the 10mm for it to shoot hot rounds 200 grains or better.
      Far as 40/357 sig, it has a huge following. Just because it's not as popular as 9mm doesn't mean it doesn't sell. 357 sig has been coming down in price for the last couple of years. Me personally, if you really like something it's never too expensive.
      Far as 9mm it's probably a conspiracy to push that round on the majority of people. I like 9mm but for the range only. I don't trust my life with it. There are too many police videos out here where the officer has to empty out a whole 17/20 magazine to stop a threat. With the body armor and drugs floating around nowadays. The 9mm round will get you killed.

      @@armedrebellion47 we are going to have to agree to disagree. I get that your opinion is that people invest in 10mm to shoot the high power loads but the data from ammo manufacturers says the exact opposite. Same with your opinion on the 40/357 sig. Yes there are a lot of people out there using it, sitting in different gun groups talking about it and so on. What I’m saying is that sales numbers directly from contacts with a half dozen ammo companies as well as various firearm manufacturers tells a different story. If people were buying more ammo and firearms in those calibers then companies would be putting more focus on them. We all have an opinion based on what information we have at hand. I just happen to have a wider field of information because of what I do on my channel.
