- These full-size M&P®10MM pistols feature optics cut slides, a new flat-face trigger design, 15+1 capacity, and are available in 4" and 4.6" variants.
They also feature forward serrations on the Armornite® finished slide, flat-face trigger design with a light & crisp pull, and tactile & audible reset.
All M&P®10MM models feature an optics-cut slide with optics-height white dot sights for the ability to co-witness. They come with baseplates to fit the optics of your choice.
Frames feature an extended embedded rigid stainless steel chassis for added durability and our 18-degree M&P® grip with interchangeable palmswells.

I own three m&p pistols. I love the new flat face trigger and I highly recommend making this trigger standard for the entire line of m&p pistols. Please pass this along to the marketing department at S&W. This 10 mm is impressive.
I own 2 m&p 2.0's, both chambered in .40 s&w, aka the ideal cartridge caliber, but 180gr was always too heavy, 155gr/150gr is ideal and best!!!
It would be nice if S&W would sell the new flat face trigger as a kit which could be installed in the current M&P M2.0 handguns for those of us who already own M2.0 handguns.

I just bought my S&W 10mm last week at my local gun shop........and i luv everything about it! If you are a gun enthusiast and you do not have one of these yet, be sure to go get one....... you will not regret it!

As of right now, their 10mm is unreliable. Look at my post I just did here with video links and on the gun from another UA-camr. There’s more M&P 10mm problem videos emerging out there as well and S&W isn’t doing squat about the problem.

Factory Tritium Night Sights are needed on this 10MM. It is time to replace your Glock 19 for an effective firearm.
My 10 years in Central America taught me that 9MM is not the best round to use when you need to STOP the bad-guy with only one shot. A 10MM may also be effective in stopping jaguars and other human hunting animals. Great job!

.357 magnum has a fierce reputation for quickly stopping violent attackers in one shot even those who were pumped up with illegal substances succumbed in one shot to the torso. So far I haven't heard of anyone surviving a 158 grain JSP moving at 1,250 fps to the chest.
How about human hunting predators of the human animal variety . . . give me the 10 for an urgent self-defense - ONE SHOT STOP.
@sparta warrior princess. If stoping a bad guy/girl with one shot is your concern than you might want to consider foregoing these pistols as despite what people would have you believe, the 10 mm is not some magic end all caliber lol. Perhaps some practice with that g19 might be your best plan. This coming from someone with 3 10mms & a 10mm carbine. There great & fun guns so I'm not dissing the caliber. If your even a 1/2 way decent shot a 9mm, .40 s&w & or (certainly not limited to) a 45acp will more than suffice. The caliber wars amongst the so called "gun experts" has to be one of the most tired & corny debates in the gun community's of all time.
Looks like another one I'm going to have to add to my start-up collection. 9mm, 45, 10mm....perfect.
The original m&p trigger is literally the reason I bought 2 of the 9mm. I dont like flat triggers like the sig. Not very optimistic about the flat trigger on a personal preference level, but glad you're making a 10.
About time Smith & Wesson. Many have been wanting this for years! I will take a 4.60".
I got mine about 2 months ago. Put on a OLight and a red dot, took it to the range yesterday for the first time man I love how it shoots.
My first new handgun was an SD9 VE. I was very impressed with the craftsmanship, even for a "budget gun". No broken parts or failures due to the gun ever. Just ordered the M&P 2.0 10mm 4.6" with the thumb safety, and I'm so excited to try it out.

I have to admit I thought a 10mm M&P would never happen. So happy to be wrong! I'll have the 4.6" version with no manual safety, please... I'd probably buy a 5" model too...[hint, hint]

I just picked up mine a week before Christmas. I still have not fired it. I really like the grip and the overall fit and finish.
Best full-size design so far! Please make the SAME full-size design in 9mm. The flat face trigger is a really big upgrade as well, please continue using it. I wish they would have put the flat face trigger on the new Spec series that's in fde (still a great pistol btw).

I agree with some other comments on here. There needs to be a performance series model. That's the one I'll wait for.
@robby. No worries. They will. It's what they do. They bring out models that require little to no retooling. Sell bade models. Then come out with "performance models" to claim more money off the same platform.

Huge smith fan , my sigma 9 was my first gun (still have) and a m&p 45 which I love but am considering a 10 mm, these look like another solid platform
My first gun was a sigma 40. I still have that one to this day. Now let's get to the now. I have an m&p in 9, 10 and 40.

Love the gun. No gripe about it and I am keeping it. Cant wait for an threaded barrel for my 4.6 model. My 2.0 10mm is superior to my Glock 20. Lots of same holes at 20 yds. They got something right on this one.
-----However, right now at this moment I am drilling out a core screw that sheared while at the range yesterday. The core plate kit screws suck. Multiple UA-cam videos of them shearing. My work around will be to use the screws that came with my optic. I'm drilling slow and gentle. Wish me luck...

I had bought mine from an out of state dealer without trying the trigger (which is absolutely TERRIBLE. It's gritty beyond belief from a name brand gun company), being that they were nearly impossible to find in my area with a 4.6 inch barrel and no exposed safety. Besides the trigger, mine was damaged from the factory on the front, bottom L/H side of the slide. Which was NOT caused in shipping to my location. Needless to say, after only having the gun for 3 days, it was sent back to S&W to replace the slide. Also, after calling customer service twice about the trigger, the first representative said the "gritty" trigger was within tolerances. The second representative agreed it shouldn't be that gritty and they have new people manning the customer service phones not knowing what they're talking about. The grip is too aggressive (which a Hogue Handall grip can fix). Being a gun enthusiast for 40+ years, certified firearms instructor for a State Police Department, and previous gun shop owner this broke my heart coming from S&W in the condition I received it as being acceptable! Whatever happened to Quality Assurance with Gun Manufacturers these days and especially from S&W!

I own a first gen M&P 45 4.5in and I live in California. I legally cannot buy this pistol that I want; however, I do want to ask Smith & Wesson to support Californian customers through offering the complete slide and barrel only in order to convert my 45.

I use Power Pistol powder pushing a 180gr XTP at 1,390fps through a Glock longslide Model 40 10mm. It’s my sidearm for firewood cutting during Grizzly season here in the Northern Rockies…. Population density 2 souls per square mile.

@@Was-here2 probably tfb tvs video. He wasn't that critical though: the reset was underperforming, and the break was at 5.5-6lbs instead of 4.5-5 lbs, but otherwise the trigger is still better than most stock pistols, especially glocks.

any suggestions as far as a holster for these new guns? I like an OWB model that would also be able to hold optics.. Looks like there is a rail under the barrel 2 any suggestions on what a good option there may be?
Can you put some more scalloping, cuts, and indentations on the front end for next version? There are not enough.

I have it. GREAT 10mm ! Only negative for me: The snag on EVERTYHING sights. I'll never use optics on an EDC. There are NO options for useable low-profile sights. If I can remedy that issue, I'll be throwing rocks at my " BLOCK"
Question: Are the new 10's compatible with existing M&P .45 kydex holsters, or are all new molds needed?

Got mine last week. It’s very nice… but… it might have been better with fiber sights, especially for low light conditions. So… waiting for after market fiber sights.
I own a 2.0 3.6" SC and Shield plus. I want one of these 10mm but I am holding out for a model that comes with a factory threaded barrel and Tritium lamps in the suppressor height sights.
Any plans to offer a 4.6 model with standard sights? I can't think of a reason i would ever suppress a 10mm, much less put a dot on it.
I shot 100 rounds of PMC 200G FMJ through my brand new M&P 10mm yesterday and had 6 failures to feed, it also wasn't going into slide lock after the last round reliably. Weird. I'm hoping it's just a break-in issue and that it'll work itself out as I keep running ammo through it. I love the ergonomics of the gun but a 6% failure rate on a brand new gun is pretty bad. I also ran 400 rounds of 9mm through my Sig p365xl and it operated flawlessly.

Got the 4” one but it doesn’t work. Bullets stuck at 45 degrees or the slide needs to be pushed forward into battery. Sent it in and hope the problems can be found
You better make a 6" version. I don't want another Glock. I already have plans for getting the 4".
