The rope sim is pretty awesome once you get the settings...but not in the main rope tag. It's the settings in the global scene sim panel that make a big difference in how the splines behave. The right balance of substeps and iterations seems to make a big difference and it can be difficult to find that magic setting. I feel like there should be more control of the behavior of the rope in the actual tag and the global settings should control quality of the sim. But at this point, that's not how it works. The global settings can have a lot of control over how bendy or stiff the rope is. Anyway, I've been using it for hair sims. I can model the exact hair splines I want and then use them as guides for a hair object. The only caveat is that there's no interpolation...I can only use the hair cloning tab to multiply the hairs.
Amazing tut, Man I am still struggling with the viewport play back. 4090 gpu but I don't what's the issue with the play back. if anyone know anything about this problem please help me out. Thanks
By the way I personally think you are an absolutely amazing C4D Artist. I really really admire the steps you take to create amazing objects in C4D.
Very great tutorial! I'm curios to see how you post produce your render !!

Nice effect. How would you go about texturing this so it looks like it’s pulling a logo apart?

I am using r 26 but why I don't have all those options like stickness in my sim tags?
you need at least cinema 4D version 2023
Does this spline smoothing thing work on octane somehow? 😢
I don't think so, but you can try and use a sweep or an extrude modifier. And then smooth the mesh
Sorry next tutorial please make bigger your layout thank you
Why you so handsome 😢
