Gut tells me the Nowheraki Swat is based of the Ninevah Swat team that fought ISIS also featured in the film Mosul. It's a very underrated war film but it's worth the watch!

It's quite refreshing, to see someone playing this game whom actually has a sense of tactics. And doesn't just run through a target blasting away like it's another FFA in COD. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. And it adds a touch of realism, that is as previously stated. Very welcome, and refreshing. Keep up the great work, and mind your front sight.

One thing that I love with the Nowehraki is because the Assaulters can be equipped with shields, you can do your best Roman legion impression. Granted, they're crap against grenades and rockets, but hey!
I set up a fire support team in the second mission with two sets of shielded sappers backed FAL-equipped militia, thinking I was incredibly clever. I learned the hard way about the grenade issue. D:

The lower volume is awesome. Being randomly screamed at by an intro which is somehow ten times as loud as every other video is far, far worse, and it's really easy to turn the volume up a notch.
I played this all deployment long, and the only thing I HATE is how you know exactly what you are getting into. I think there should be a mode where you can see the outside of the buildings, and maybe parts of the rooms with windows, but the rest of the interior is just a blank grey area until you kick in the door and see the room. Knowing the exact layout of the rooms makes it it seems to simple
Game is designed ground up with you having that information. The very basis of the game: path system will always show where your troops can or cannot pass.
Wouldn't mind that either, but I think it ought to be a fairly low priority. Or leave it to modders. I'd rather have drones, which I believe were intended to be added to the game... maybe??
One of my favorite strategies with the new SWAT team is making a sort of diamond with two level III shields with Uzi's and two sappers with APC9k's. You have the shields at the front and then one of the sappers in the middle behind them. The last sapper can go on either shoulder of the shield team. You basically become a hall clearing machine, but open areas are rough with the formation. If anything is in front of you though, they'll eat 40 rounds of 9mm pretty quickly and your guys are super safe.
I love the new faction! a bit on a learning curve with them but its nice to have a different challenge. The militiamen are pretty cool since you can deploy two per deployment slot. I've been having good success using them for security in cqb carrying the uzi while using the assaulters for the actual kicking in doors stuff
I tried like 9 times to use the locals. I then swapped to my ranger unit, and cleared it with no injuries. I tried again with just 4 rangers and still crushed it. I then went to the cia and cleared both overt and stealthy. The locals must have a play style that I'm not getting.
Play it very safe and slow and smart. and HE. Don't be afraid to have some collateral damage. I don't use the militia generally. I'll have the TL several assaulters and a sapper or two. m4s seem to be the best weapon for them.
This new faction makes me want a mode where if ppl die on your run throughs they are gone gone. Kinda like Xcom's wall of heros type thing. I also wish that they didnt gain xp or stats for runs you don't finish all the way through.
Every DK2 Mission I take SWAT on I go with as many Militia as I can and if any free slots, Leader then either assault or sapper depending on mission Its pretty dang fun with how dicey things can get

I've had level 1 SWAT units reliably kill baddies from 25m+, even the shitty militia. If you give them RPKs, and can stick them in cover they'll do way better than you might expect.
i managed to get through this mission, kitted my guys out in the best armor they could get and got a sap with the best shield, finished it with 5 heavily injured, 2 slightly injured, and one un-injured
They need to add shield to the default team. I'd also like to see an option to hook onto the guy with the shield with ur second so u can clear rooms like that
That would be interesting Like a mode where you defend a location, could be interesting, especially if you're able to use M18 claymores and grenade tripwires and C4
Just for the challenge I m making the game all over again with only militia unit. It s pretty tough but interesting. Btw the molotov cocktail is very interesting to deny an area like a cover or a door to the enemy.
I managed to 3-star this mission with the CIA team the other day with the two UC dude as lookouts at the “stealth infil” (green car) while the two black ops dude cleared the buildings staring with the “mobility infil” (building to the right) using the occasional grenade to act on what the UC dudes see on the street.
When I did this mission I had the true believer detonate in the building. I thought I must've lost one civilian but I didn't I guess it was luck. Also I enjoy the new faction.
Firstly, M4s across the board, but a gunner or two is always nice. Generally, they work out far better- and M16s are ideal for range. Second, funny enough, a high field-skill sapper makes a nice shielder with access to their unique heavy armor. They can still employ charges fairly quickly compared to a lighter kitted sapper. The leader has the armor, too. Third, you can deploy two militia in place of any one soldier. They take half a unit slot. A high trained Militia is actually pretty good, too. The M16 is an adequate generalist rifle, while the Uzi and FAL cover close and medium-long range respectively. The RPK is... Well it's an RPK. Do the math... Although not as good as an Assault's RPK, an extra gun is just that. Something to cover another5, less important angle. Oh, and the level III shield is better for most situations than the level IV, it covers more area. I'm not a big fan of shields, but it can be a good crutch for these less vetted guys... At least our old squads didn't get wiped again.
Just finished my first blind play through on this one. Finished with 2 dudes left (Rangers), so I came here to get master guidance on clearing this level only to see a similar result 😅 this map is tough yo

Just found out the the Militia class count as 1/2 a soldier since they don’t have a lot of gear… This could get interesting Yeah, I’m having the new team run drills in the mission generation, getting them upto speed.
The new faction defiantly takes some getting used to, you mentioned it around 13:30 but absolutely nobody wins their fights, feels a bit weird after using rangers for so long and dropping bodies by accident. The shields do have a purpose but they pull all of the speed out of your attack, the AKs and small number of throwables means you can't really be too violent so it seems to be best to either send the whole goddam village after them with a 12 strong militia who all just point their weapons in the same place or to get one guy behind a shield and just slug it out hoping they don't have grenades or rockets. Overall I think the same of them as I do of the CIA faction, it's a nice touch but goddam do rangers get the job done so much better. Edit: also I believe their aim is just worse than the ranger's regardless of level so even the M4s don't do the same thing a ranger M4 does but I might be wrong on that, it's just how it feels to me
No, if you get the assaulters leveled up to ranks 4-6 they start getting really good, but you have to grind through a bunch of the auto-generated maps for that. Plus, the shield guys are REALLY strong, just have a guy with an assault rifle behind him and it's an unstoppable wall of lead, and you use your leader with a sniper and rpks to take care of any RPG and sniper enemies. They're a really cool faction, you just have to change your tactics... obviously if you act like they're full armoured grunts like the rangers then you'll get screwed, but they're much more mobile and militia only take up half a slot, so you can even up the numbers a lot more.
I dont really know. I tried this level with rangers and my guys were getting smoked in the exact same manner as the militia in this video. It feels like the AI are much more dangerous now
@@chobai9996 a ranger assaulter of equal level is always better though, the shields are strong but for those of us focused around challenge runs they are far from viable, they may be good on the surface but it’s more about what you lose by taking advantage of them, a compound a group of rangers could speed through in 30 seconds, meaning the insurgents don’t get to respond to the attack takes thrice as long with a shield whilst also sacrificing a huge amount of firepower and individual protection. As I say they do have a purpose but rangers are far better all rounders which keeps them as my go to.
@@chobai9996 also whilst you may be able to have double the unit count on the map it’s rare that’s actually necessary if you invest in 1 or 2 high level rangers as usually they have a room cleared up by the time you even have your 3rd and 4th guys in the room nvm when we’re talking a 10 strong assault force. Again like the shields they have their use, being able to cover everywhere at once feels great but they’re reduction in power makes them hard to rely on for me, if you find success with them tho fair enough
@@yellowsaurus4895 I've 3 starred the level with all 3 factions, I got a clean run with rangers which probably comes down to me just knowing them the best and the times were within a second of each other but I will say that level in particular is just hellish, my thoughts on them really comes from other levels where I tried them e.g. "Quaint little man" where I took 4 or 5 attempts getting something I was happy with using SWAT (1min 35s with 1 yellow injury) before swapping to rangers and getting a sub 30s clean run on my first attempt
The good thing about aggressive AI is that they all come to you, so you will have less entrenched enemies to dig out when you do finally break your own cover and push on them XD

After losing half my guys to a suicide vest dude that they just could not kill no matter what, I ended up switching my unit to Rangers and completed the mission with 3 stars and no injuries lmao
Like the face cam Pairs, also loved the video on your other channel where you and the guys went shooting, I want to go shoot realsteel aswell someday but living in South Africa with law that you may not own a firearm for self defense and getting a license for a gun is not the easiest, but want to try and own a sidearm and AR someday or atleast go to a shootingranch and do some drills, also love your gameplay and vids, keep well, keep safe.
The swat guys aren't all that bad if you take the time to level them up. Remember, when you first started the game your operators weren't that great in comparison to their skills today. But to answer your question, the swat team is actually pretty effective at taking control with an overwhelming force.

You had half a deployment point at the start. Milita are the only units that cost half a deployment cost so you could have got another milita guy

Very true. Militia guys with M16s shoot reality-bendingly bad, to the point it looks weird how the tracers exit the gun at a 30° angle

Is x8 a good estimate of how many men would actually be on these missions? Very large maps at 64-80 and at the very least 16.

@@yellowsaurus4895 I've 3 starred the level with all 3 factions, I got a clean run with rangers which probably comes down to me just knowing them the best and the times were within a second of each other but I will say that level in particular is just hellish, my thoughts on them really comes from other levels where I tried them e.g. "Quaint little man" where I took 4 or 5 attempts getting something I was happy with using SWAT (1min 35s with 1 yellow injury) before swapping to rangers and getting a sub 30s clean run on my first attempt
You should consider using the dev mode free cam to record the replays! It lets you get right in the stack with your men.

The good thing about aggressive AI is that they all come to you, so you will have less entrenched enemies to dig out when you do finally break your own cover and push on them XD
The swat is fun because with the militia im now the one who swarms the enemy

After losing half my guys to a suicide vest dude that they just could not kill no matter what, I ended up switching my unit to Rangers and completed the mission with 3 stars and no injuries lmao
Like the face cam Pairs, also loved the video on your other channel where you and the guys went shooting, I want to go shoot realsteel aswell someday but living in South Africa with law that you may not own a firearm for self defense and getting a license for a gun is not the easiest, but want to try and own a sidearm and AR someday or atleast go to a shootingranch and do some drills, also love your gameplay and vids, keep well, keep safe.

The swat guys aren't all that bad if you take the time to level them up. Remember, when you first started the game your operators weren't that great in comparison to their skills today. But to answer your question, the swat team is actually pretty effective at taking control with an overwhelming force.
@@apersonontheinternet8006 Gotchya. I’ve had no luck with them and I just can’t justify using them when my Army cool guys are so much better. I wouldn’t mind seeing them add cool guys from around the world, or even create your own company and hire dudes from other teams as contractors.
