same, l thought their Xplode series speakers where the only ones still around. Xplode is junk, l have a friend who bought a truck with a pair of 6.5ers and the coils were all crunchy and the glue on the surround had completely worn off so the cone was basically free air. junk...

Unless i am blind i did not see the install vigeao in your extensive library following this one. In your opinion quality mobile video, would you advise running these 3 ways off a sony ax7000? or is an amp just needed flat out? Thx
Lots of negative comments on these. For those that have not actually heard them these speakers are phenominal, especially at their price point. Ive installed many sets and can tell you the sound is superb.

How do you go about choosing an amp for a component system like this considering each "component" has a different rms rating. Or am I overthinking this. I would like 1 amp to power both a 3way component system and a pair of 6.5s.

I'm getting a 2020 Toyota Yaris soon. I'm thinking I can replace the factory tweets in the corner dash locations with the 3 1/2 mids but how many inches away up on the a pillars should I install the tweets??? Anyone know??
There's really no standard height for tweeters. Typically you'd just want to point them and aim them towards the middle of the vehicle

*1/3rd of the way forward from the back of the opposite window, centered.* Otherwise you're creating beaming to one ear and causing cancelation to the other, especially from the speaker opposite of your location.

I'm on the fence about getting these and the Hertz 3-way components. Hell to be honest I'm on the fence about getting any of them, simply because Idk how they'll perform in an SPL set up.. How loud are they? I'm interested in running two sets, but if they aren't very loud I'm going with 8 -8" Prv ndy neo's, and 4 super tweeters. I still don't know what crossover to use on the 8's though.. And I'm gambling with she soundqubed 4500 on two Apocalypse sa27-12's. Smh.. I still haven't found a diagram to wire the dual 2ohm subs to 1ohm.. 😂 😂 😂 I'm in full panic! Lol

Shaun Jay if you’re planning spl system go for some focal k2 I know a friend that runs two pairs of k2 with three soundstreams t4 -12 subs on hifonics amps they sound so damn good is hard to heard distortion from those bad boys

I might need you to take some pics for me! From the best of my knowledge, those have 6.5" speakers on the driver and passenger doors along with tweeters, am I right? I just need to know if they have the speakers in the backseat doors as well!
Quality Mobile Video yes you are right! It has 6.5” speakers on the lower front doors and tweeters on the upper front doors. And it does have backseat speakers on the lower area. Probably 6.5” as well.. sooo any suggestions?

alpine type s components are loud and crisp. They are 100-120$ but you might want to get an amp for them.
wait till price goes down or buy jbl component speakers 87 dollars n sound amazing just need an amp tho

Sam Sen Image Dynamics ID series components. High power handeling, clean midbass and about $140 for the set. If your budget is better than consider the CXS64 "Chamelion" components. I ran the cxs series until recently I upgraded to the XS series. Amazing midbass, loud and clear. The CXS Chamelions are about $240 a set

carrillo100100 I would be looking at Morel,image dynamics,hell even the kicker q series would be a better buy than anything Sony will ever offer.
I Will say they deserve a chance. Putting each speaker in it's proper range crossed over will allow for a tighter cleaner sound. In the past i ran 3 Orion 500.2 extreme amps to electronically crossed over components. (4) 8" mtx midbass drivers running 80hz to 300hz off of 1 amp, (4) kicker separates 5.25" running 300hz to 3.5k off another amp, and (4) kicked nd25 silk soft dome tweeters running 3.5k and up off the third 500.2... all in the the front doors of my full Size blazer. that's 250x2 rms into 2 ohms per channel. Every speaker got 125 rms... way past their handling and they all lived happily at 125 db A weighted. That's without any distortion or clipping... for the subs i had 2 kicker comp 18 running off a Orion xtr 1400.2... yes a mixed up mashup of speakers but one of the loudest, cleanest systems anyone had heard. I would get thumbs up from the police because it sounded real clean and not just bass. The subs were precise and accurate and always could've been easily over powering whenever a clown said they liked more bass. People were jealous of my mid bass output. Especially drummers and bass players.
I have used the two way system in my car and I would not pay this much for these speakers... they are OK but not a flagship kinda speaker set.
