@@CarAudioFabrication I have watched some of your videos. Very good! I am sure your dad has been loving that system! :-) Did you just use 2-way coaxial speakers in the back? TIA. My speakers are bad and I am trying to upgrade. I was thinking 2-way component in the front and 2-way coaxials in the rear. BTW, I used one of your codes at Crutchfield but I have not bought anything. But, TY (and them) if if do!

I decided to open a car audio shop after seven years working for Best Buy (5 yrs) and a custom stereo shop (2yrs). Three days after the store opened, my Dad passed from a heart attack at 57. Not a day goes by without me thinking of him and wished he was here to see what we've done. So cool to see you do this for your Dad. Give him a hug and be thankful he's still here with you.

In the mid-late '90s, there was an older couple in their 50s who had one of the sickest mini trucks in town. They had their son not only build the truck, but he put in two Cerwin-Vegas Stoker 18s. Everywhere they went, that truck was knockin HARD and the coolest thing was, cops wouldn't even bother them. Older, Grey haired couple slow riding in a slammed burgundy mini truck with the deepest, cleanest spl beat... it was golden!

This was a fantastic and informative build. You're a lucky man to have your dad around still. My parents were always involved in my hobbies and occasionally showed up to car shows and sound challenge events. My dad got in a SPL vehicle we built and was watching The Matrix scene when they rescued Morpheus. The gatling gun muzzle concussions, the cascade of shells, and the helicopter rotor sounds were an aural overload. He looked like a kid having the best time. I miss those days and I miss my dad, But I have those memories.

Being able to give him that smile with his daily driver is a great thing. The quality components are definitely used appropriately in a professional way. I've really enjoyed watching this build so far. I still have to watch the A Pillar build but one thing is for certain: I now want a router for these types of tasks. It's really challenging to fit so many components into a smaller space and I am currently doing an install in my 2015 Kia Soul. My previous vehicle was a 2010 CRV and it had much more space to mount amps, hide wiring, and cargo space to accept some larger items. I really liked having dual batteries (one under hood and one in the rear) for cold winter starts and high current draw situations. Finding space in the Soul is certainly challenging. This entire series has been very helpful in hopefully decreasing personal mistakes and doing it right the first time. I found the sound treatment video especially informative. Keep up the great work. I wish I could hear Another Brick In The Wall in that install!

I used to study Double Bass (upright bass) in college, and I can attest that you can ABSOLUTELY "feel" the bass when you go to an orchestral concert. Especially if you get front-row seats.
So, you absolutely need a subwoofer or great full-range speakers to get the full experience, even with orchestral music.
