I am so glad you cheered right up!! Also really loving the fact that you are taking the creativity to next level with the b-roll and the bloopers. It really makes for a fun, light-hearted watch. Props to you mate. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much Final Burrito! I'm really interested in the filming aspect of it - although it's pretty hard considering I'm in front of the camera......
I made this cocktail last night for me and a friend of mine. She absolutely loved it! Of course i liked it too! Thanks for these amazing videos you make and the cool recipe.
This sounds amazing, I'm going to make this today! It fits perfectly with our indigenous roots and atmosphere at our bar with the sage. Thanks for the inspiration.
Didn't watch your videos in a while, so I'm going to comment about the explanations you provided when you explained what "reposado" means. I think it's a nice addition and I enjoyed it! Cheers!
Thanks Mihailo! Where have you been? >_< I mentioned the word 'rested' a few times so thought I would clarify otherwise some would have no idea what I was on about!
“Start by measuring 60mil, 2oz and just put it straight back in the bottle because I fucked up and forgot to muddle the strawberries” hahaha love the channel man!! I have like 10 screenshots of tnew ones to try out!
Haha, this is why I don't do any live videos... I wouldn't have to edit things out! That's another thing I'm keen on putting together on my website, a way to save drink recipes and what bottles you have on hand... there's some options out there but would love to do it on my website!
I think you enjoyed that drink as much as I enjoyed the Steve shake. lol gonna try this recipe. You explain it perfect and make it look easy, but I think I can make this. Sounds nicer than a strawberry daquiri, which I find too sweet.
Did I get it right that you muddled sage leaves right with strawberries and used additional sage leave for decoration? Also, will Espolon tequila fit here?
Whenever my awkward-self has a go at my back bar a good slug of anything w/ tequila always makes me feel better. Or whatever libation remains in the bottles that survived, really. Keep smilin' brutha!👊👍🍹🥂🍸🥃🍻
You would ditch the syrup. Triple sec and Cointreau both have high sugar content. Typically when you see those in cocktails there will not be simple syrup.
Steve absolutely love your channel fantastic inspiration for an inspiring cocktail maker like myself. However I share the same name as you I would love to find out how I did get your wonderful apron with Steve the bartender on it please can we get some in stock thanks. Stevie d
Sorry for the extreme delays! I'm actually about to start preorders for the aprons as many people have been asking for them.. and also running a giveaway for an apron + cocktail book if you are still interested: bit.ly/STB-apron
Yeah, they could work okay... do you mean just substituting for the simple only or the fruit as well? ie. strawberry syrup in place of fresh strawberries and simple?
@@StevetheBartender_ Just for the substitution of the simple syrup, in my bar that's the syrups we use for cocktails including fresh fruits such as strawberries etc.
Can I recommend another cocktail for you to do? Green Park, created by Erik Lorincz (then american bar, savoy head bartender) in 2011. 45ml Dry Gin 30ml Lemon Juice 15ml Rich Simple Syrup 6-8 Basil Leaves Dash of Celery Bitters (Bitter Truth) 1 Egg White Shaken and served up in a coupe/nick and nora
Could you actually taste the sage in it? There was so very little sage added, I'd be amazed that you could taste it. I grow sage for cooking so I have that on hand. (People live for that smile but I just want you to know, I'd follow you whether you smiled or not. LOL!) (Love the outtakes)
Sage flavour was minimal/nil... I'd definitely advise adding more in. I only had a couple leaves on hand... another thing I should have mentioned in the video! Lol.. It looks damn good as a garnish though! Thanks for the kind words and I'll keep sneaking the outtakes in - I always wonder how many people watch it all the way to the outtakes.. :)
DAAAAAMN!! Strawberry Sage Margarita alll the WAY!! Tasty as.. get amongst it p.s. GIVEAWAY - GIN GUIDE BOOK: stevethebartender.com.au/giveaway-guide-to-gin-book/
Haha, I had to drink all 3 of them after filming *sigh* 👌
Was waiting for that smile
Goldie Chass Me too...automatically
My favorite part of the videos weirdly enough! 😄
I threw it in there last second!!
Lol lol...same here
yes. i was like 🥺 bt then i was like 😎 yee
So you see, that’s where the trouble began.
*Steve shakes drink and smiles*
That smile.
That damned smile.
ALWAYS

seconded. the blooper is great and reminds me of all the ingredients and garnishes I've forgotten over the years
Thanks so much Final Burrito! I'm really interested in the filming aspect of it - although it's pretty hard considering I'm in front of the camera......
We're all human.... I make mistakes all the time >_
Wife loved it! Thanks Steve!
That drink looks so good. I love anything with strawberries
I just love how professional these videos seem. This looks like an awesome summer cocktail
Thanks mate, they've come a long way from when I first started >_
I made this cocktail last night for me and a friend of mine. She absolutely loved it! Of course i liked it too!
Thanks for these amazing videos you make and the cool recipe.
No worries Nando! Glad the recipe came in use :)
This sounds amazing, I'm going to make this today! It fits perfectly with our indigenous roots and atmosphere at our bar with the sage. Thanks for the inspiration.
Welcome! Make sure you go a little harder with the sage... 👌
It looks really tasty! And sooooooo happy to see your smile again! Almost burst into tears of joy!

My mouth watered just watching you make this.
Yeah, this one was awesome and makes for a wicked photo!!
I made this blended last night to go with my fish tacos 👌 top notch thanks for the recipe steve
in Puerto Vallarta, MX they make wonderful Strawberry Basil Margaritas , at Margaritas Bar & Grill, in Zona Romantica. So delicious!
I myself like to put orange juice and orange lichor instead of lime juice
Less acidity.. I’ll have to try it..
I will have to make it ! Whit basil would be good too
Let me know your thoughts if you do!
The smile gets me every time
=)
I'm truly gonna love this cocktail. Thank you for recipe!!
No worries! Let me know how it goes once you try it :)
Dude your growing real fast
Yeah, this last 90 days has been explosive!! I've been uploading pretty frequently now that I have more time to do so =)
Looks fantastic. Trying using agave syrup instead of simple syrup works fantastic with margaritas
Yeah, I'm a big agave fan... and 100%, would have worked a treat in this one!
I love the info about reposado in the caption!! Definitely keep doing that and educate us cocktail uncultured swines! Cheers mate.
Haha, will do Rafa! I'm making the move to new editing software which should make the 'subtitles' a little less intrusive..
“Start by measuring 60mil, 2oz and just put it straight back in the bottle because I fucked up and forgot to muddle the strawberries” hahaha love the channel man!! I have like 10 screenshots of tnew ones to try out!

Heck ya! Blast from the Past!
Yeow! An oldie.
THIS drink is the bomb! Cheers Steve.
Delicious and refresh
I think you enjoyed that drink as much as I enjoyed the Steve shake. lol gonna try this recipe. You explain it perfect and make it look easy, but I think I can make this. Sounds nicer than a strawberry daquiri, which I find too sweet.
Sage is a powerful herb. This sounds interesting to try.
Let me know if you do! It could definitely do with a bit more sage if you do make it..
Amazing recipe mate, loved it!!!
Added some Grand marnier. Really good👌
2:30 there it issssss!
Well I know what I'm making to accompany my fish tacos tonight 😁
love a good behind the scenes moment
very informative thank you ! nice touch on the slow mo ;)
Thanks Laura! I picked up a new camera a few days back so more close ups to come! >_
Hey Steve! How important would you say the rested tequila is? would this drink be possible with say , sauza silver tequilla?
Did I get it right that you muddled sage leaves right with strawberries and used additional sage leave for decoration?
Also, will Espolon tequila fit here?
Nice slowmo shot there
Thanks Baller! I quite like the trickling sound... that's actually the real pouring sound and not an added sound effect!
Is frozen strawberry a good substitution?
Whenever my awkward-self has a go at my back bar a good slug of anything w/ tequila always makes me feel better. Or whatever libation remains in the bottles that survived, really. Keep smilin' brutha!👊👍🍹🥂🍸🥃🍻
I was devastated as the next few cocktails I was going to make needed the maraschino! Haha, tequila definitely fixed things though!
@@StevetheBartender_ Oh no, not the Luxardo!😱 More tequila.😉
Which orange liquor do u recommend BC not a tequila guy
CAN YOU DO A PLAYLIST WITH VIDEOS WHERE YOU SHAKE THE TIN I LOVE WATCHING YA DO IT 😂😭
Gotta try this when exams are finished!
Studies first! =)
If you were to add triple sec, would you keep the simple syrup or get rid of it?
You would ditch the syrup. Triple sec and Cointreau both have high sugar content. Typically when you see those in cocktails there will not be simple syrup.
Garnish with a lime wedge or piece of pineapple 🍍

I have a huge bush of sage in my yard right now. Now I know what to do with it...
At what point do somebody balance the strawberry sourness with sweet strawberry purre or syrup? Is it considered desecration of the cocktail?
Sorry I'm not sure I understand your question..
@@StevetheBartender_ nevermind this cocktail looks so freshly tasteful that idc anymore xD keep up the good work
Why does every bartender flash a smile while they shake the cocktails? Is it like a secret code? I need answers
Would monin syrups be able to substitute simple syrup?

Tequila is the way to my heart! I’m trying this drink, salud! 💕🥂
Salud! 🥂 more tequila then!!
I subbed just for the smile
Uauuu top!!!!!
