      Haha, this is why I don't do any live videos... I wouldn't have to edit things out! That's another thing I'm keen on putting together on my website, a way to save drink recipes and what bottles you have on hand... there's some options out there but would love to do it on my website!

    I think you enjoyed that drink as much as I enjoyed the Steve shake. lol gonna try this recipe. You explain it perfect and make it look easy, but I think I can make this. Sounds nicer than a strawberry daquiri, which I find too sweet.

    Did I get it right that you muddled sage leaves right with strawberries and used additional sage leave for decoration?

    If you were to add triple sec, would you keep the simple syrup or get rid of it?

      You would ditch the syrup. Triple sec and Cointreau both have high sugar content. Typically when you see those in cocktails there will not be simple syrup.

      Yeah, they could work okay... do you mean just substituting for the simple only or the fruit as well? ie. strawberry syrup in place of fresh strawberries and simple?

    Can I recommend another cocktail for you to do?
    Green Park, created by Erik Lorincz (then american bar, savoy head bartender) in 2011.
    45ml Dry Gin
    30ml Lemon Juice
    15ml Rich Simple Syrup
    6-8 Basil Leaves
    Dash of Celery Bitters (Bitter Truth)
    1 Egg White
    Shaken and served up in a coupe/nick and nora

    Could you actually taste the sage in it? There was so very little sage added, I'd be amazed that you could taste it. I grow sage for cooking so I have that on hand. (People live for that smile but I just want you to know, I'd follow you whether you smiled or not. LOL!) (Love the outtakes)

      Sage flavour was minimal/nil... I'd definitely advise adding more in. I only had a couple leaves on hand... another thing I should have mentioned in the video! Lol.. It looks damn good as a garnish though! Thanks for the kind words and I'll keep sneaking the outtakes in - I always wonder how many people watch it all the way to the outtakes.. :)
