When I lived in northern Ontario a bunch of us used to go across the border to a small town in Quebec to party. One night coming home about 3 A.M. we saw a pickup like the one in this video on its side in the ditch. We stopped and offered to help, four big guys we were, and we put it back on its wheels. A few miles down the road there it was again in a ditch, this time on its roof. Once again we turned it right and when the driver went to get behind the wheel I was in his way telling him that he was not going to drive another foot and the truck was staying there unless someone else drove. He didn't argue and got in the passenger side and passed out as soon as he was seated. As usual, I'm amazed at how people blow right past you while your advertising and trying to get your job done. God bless and have a merry Christmas, you and your family.
@@zuestoots5176 Oil from sump can travel backwards through crankcase breather and into air intake. Once it starts, it uses the oil as fuel, and immediately goes to mechanical speed limit. Ron it's always extremely fascinating and interesting watching your run code 3 in a tow truck. It doesn't work that way in Iowa. When the interstate is backed up for five miles the tow truck just sits there and waits back of the line until he gets on scene
I have police lights and sirens, but my truck is a marked police vehicle (I only tow vehicles into evidence) In my state, civilian tow trucks aren't allowed to have sirens or lights other than amber
Clint Eastwood is Disgusted That's probably because you don't live in one of the few states that allow sirens on civilian tow trucks, here in Missouri (state that this is filmed in) we allow civilian tow trucks to have emergency lights / sirens.
brotherbosco I don't think he's allowed to use them all the time. Only on certain recoveries if he needs to be there quicker than a just a car in a ditch. Not too sure though hopefully Ron could clear that up.
You just rolled your vehicle on the interstate. It's been sitting on its side fir awhile. Fluids are going places engineers never imagined. It starts up and you drive over a large oak block without apparently noticing. You park on the inside shoulder of a major interstate. He seems to be making a series of bad decisions. Maybe he is in shock? I vote for a tow too.
Missouri, where Ron is located, is one of the few states that consider tow trucks as emergency vehicles and allows them to run red and blue lights and sirens but they can only do so when asked by law enforcement to do so for a particular call. Most states, and I'm sure California is one of them, consider tow trucks to be service vehicles and only allow them to run amber lights and no siren.
kaltiny1997 The reason you have never heard of hat is since you live in California. In California, recovery vehicles, otherwise known as tow trucks, are not considered emergency vehicles/services which are Ambulances, Fire trucks, and Police vehicles. . In Missouri, and other states that have this specific law stated in this certain way, if the wrecker company is called by emergency services and are told to expedite, they respond Code 3, other wise known as lights and sirens. My question is do people not realize that with you being a large truck that you are still an emergency vehicle? Also yes that was very good they shut the interstate down for you.
It depends where you're at. I know in my state Tow trucks CANNOT run code to a scene. So people would not be used to treating a tow truck as an emergency vehicle should they ever be permitted to (which IMO they should).
Prince Uldren never heard a siren in NJ, or FLORIDA., but on the road at an accident, or police,,or met, action we have to MOVE over 1 lane, otherwise 15,mph, or LESS
If the vehicle hasn't lost any critical fluids or suffered any structural damage then the quickest and safest way to clear the road is to drive it away. Rally drivers do it all the time and, with due respect, the biggest shock to this vehicle was landing back on its wheels. Wondering if having a front bumper winch with less capacity would help in this situation? You could pull it right on without having to turn your truck around. I mean, it doesn't take that much of a pull to flip a small truck like that. Anyway, excellent video as usual.

btf he means driving it away instead of it getting towed not the blocks he’s saying it would be sketchy to drive a vehicle that’s been rolled
Do any Drivers know what Emergency Lights and Sirens mean ? If NOT, Yank their Driver’s License (which is s Privilege and NOT a Right in the US) and send them directly to either Jail, a Driving School or back to High School Driver’s Education. Law Enforcements Choice based on their Attitude.
That was good quick and easy work
Wondering if having a front bumper winch with less capacity would help in this situation? You could pull it right on without having to turn your truck around. I mean, it doesn't take that much of a pull to flip a small truck like that. Anyway, excellent video as usual.
Amazing good job on being quick but safe!
Interesting rollover. Guy drives the dang thing off. Suprised police allowed him to drive it off.
GREAT JOB KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
