I am buying this EGO weed eater today from Lowes, so excited. I have used the Ego self propelled mower for 3 years living in Houston and it is still working like new on an 8200 square ft yard. After 10 mows it paid for itself. The Ryobi string trimmer was good but the Ego battery is one fits all and lasts a long time.
Thank you Floyd, Yours was the first of five videos I had to scroll through before I could find a loop handle that matched the one on my new trimmer. There is no indication in the EGO manual that the loop handle must be FORCED down on the shaft. Responsible examination of the handle suggests that something would break if it were merely "pushed" onto the shaft, as instructed by the manual.
LOL! 😄 I came to UA-cam looking for assembly videos for the same reason. I wanted to be sure I wasn't going to break anything if I forced the handle into position. Now I can proceed.
I am not able to attach the handle...it is too narrow. Not sure what to do, take it all back? I guess I can try to widen it at the point where it has to slip onto the shaft.
I think you will like it and it will save you time. It eliminated a lot of the fuss and hassle associated with trimming. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.
Ive had this trimmer for a few weeks now . Really like it except , not thrilled with the auto feed . Mine has been very ify so far . Ive looked an looked to see if its possible to substitute any other type head on these an see zero options on that . I really hope ego will come out with a way to do that sooner than later . Even if its working great for most folks it would still be nice to have the option at least . Any thoughts ?
Bro im stuck on step 1 of putting that screw in wtfffff. It won’t tighten *Update* I got it all assembled with the help of this video. Thank you. Just some minor frustrations lol
