Hi Jon-Hope this is really you..:) Anyway, your brother was a wicked, wicked guitarist and he deserves so much more credit.I'm so glad videos like this are posted out of deep respect for your brother. There can never be enough.;)I'm so sorry for your loss, Jon. I really am.I can't imagine how difficult it's been for you.I've seen what a tragic loss can do to a family.Nothing is the same.I don't know how you found the strength to carry on with your band, but I admire you for it.I'm sure it's what Criss wanted for you.I'm so glad you did.:)You are a wicked talent yourself.:) Something amazing happens when you pick up a pen, to say the least. My most sincere sympathy and prayers go out to you.Jon, you are loved and deeply respected. All the very, very best to you..You deserve it.

Jon, we love you brothers as part of our families. I think the Italian blood made the passion and poetry dwell in your music and lyrics and what you played, even more than the extreme artistic talent showed a great human heart.
Grazie Jon, a te e Criss, per sempre nel mio cuore ❤️ e buon compleanno Criss!

This is Amazing!!!!!!! I met Criss Oliva 2 times at Savatage concerts and he was the nicest....underline that...nicest guy.. not just nicest famous person i have ever met...but one of the most down to earth real and gracious people i have ever met. He had just gotten married and he talked about it. He looked so happy ........He died a few months later. That is what goes through my head when i see him. He gave a fan his real heart. Criss let me in and i knew at the time it was happening that this wasn't a jaded rockstar who could care less about me. He was thankful, and i was worth his time. What "rockstar" does this ? Miss this guy at a Guitar God level....but i miss him more as a fantastic human. Rip Criss Oliva. Thank you my friend.

I've been a fan of your guys music ever since I can remember..

Very touching story, Anthony. I am sure Criss is in Heaven smiling down knowing his music made a difference in someone's life. What more can any artist truly aspire to do? But touch lives with their art and really make a difference - and saving someone's life - it doesn't get any deeper or real than that. Glad you're still on this world, even though I don't know you - and that you overcame the moment the demons tried to win and take you away. Carry on, good sir - and fight the fight.

Yeah - there are days (especially these days) - where I miss the potential music Criss could have given us. I wonder if he was still with us, if we would still have SAVATAGE today - who is, even now, still my all time favorite band. I think it's great that you discovered them through Headbanger's Ball and "wore out" the CDs as much as a CD can be worn out - but cycling those CDs on repeat and blaring out Savatage tunes. I want to do what I can to keep the memory and music of Criss alive, even if he may be gone. #Savatage
