Chris you are the best guitarist of all times, there is no one even close to you! So underrated.
You left us so early ...

Waoov.Streets was waaay ahead of its time, and hopefully was given some credits later. But sad that Criss could not see it.Even after all those years of being a metalhead,i could not find any guitarist similar or close to Criss. He is unique!

He had awesome Legato technique like Allan Holdsworth but a metal style!

grandissimo talento...Criss Oliva....e come tutti i grandi (o quasi tutti) è scomparso prematuramente nel lontano 1993!....

Streets is the album that captured me, i liked it so much i bought it (even with the recession). and i saw them perform most of it at a Chicago concern. and i still find it hard to get through the last 3 songs with a dry eye

Zak stevens sang very well the songs which were originally sang by jon oliva, he is a great vocalist and a cool person, in 2009 the album streets was chosen as one off the 600 best rock/metal albums off all times by the rock report internet web, it was on the 50 or 55 spot, criss oliva is my favorite guitar player, he was also a nice and sweet person, savatage is my second favorite rock/metal band, and streets in my humble opinion is the best concept album ever, thank you

The main thing that makes him great is having a distinctive style. He had technical ability, but so do many. His style can be instantly recognized by ear. Riffs... lead playing.... no one writes or plays guitar parts that sound like him.

Streets was only a few years ahead of its time only s few years later they became a huge success as TSO. It’s too bad Criss Oliva didn’t get to live to see it

Jon didnt want to step down as the vocalist for other projects, i put my money on that they wanted to gain more commercial success in the 90s taken a different more modern sound
