I use LG 48" oled and its perfect monitor for gaming and multimedia. HDR is killer and OLED perfect black is gamechanger
Looking forward to their 32inch Hdmi2.1 HDR1000 monitor
It’s nearly 50% lighter than the c1 too which is crazy. Thinner bezels, 10% brighter
I’ve been waiting for this for over a year now. Bought the 48 inch last November and returned it as it was too big for my desk this size is perfect.
I could get the 42 inch c2 oled but i could also take another year n save for a 3000 next gen technology display 😕 i wonder if qd oled is big difference in quality
The colors will be noticeably richer with a more balanced spectral power distribution.
I already have an LG CX, so I'm going to wait until Sony releases a quantum dot OLED in the 42 inch size at a reasonable price before I buy another OLED.
The abl brightness limiter can be turned off with the lg, whereas the sony cannot turn it off. So despite the Sony having peak brightness setting in game mode, the abl automatic brightnees limiter makes it much darker than the lg. If you leave abl turned on, lg has 15% and 30% brightness reductions (as options), whereas sony has one option 50% (that once again cannot be turned off). Well done lg! Big win
you mean in the service menu? but more higher risk then to burn in. and no warrenty then if you change those setting in the service menu
How can you people even look at a screen so bright all the time
Can't wait to have this monitor.
I have a Samsung NU8700 4K 48 inch TV. I had for 4 years now but when I looked for replacement I found out there is absolutely no monitors that actually worth the 800-1100$ price tag.
It would be the sweetspot for my PS5 and PC.
Although I wanna se the IPS craps prices to be reduced after this monitor will be avaliable. Asking 800-1100$ for an crap IPS panel is crime againts humanity.
Well done LG.
Im excited too, probably gunna pick this up as soon as it releases
The only thing holding me back from buying this is the brightness. The 42” ROG OLED coming out has active cooling and can hit around 900nits. Probably gonna cost way more though.
ROGs has a matte coating that will dull out colors :(
@@colemckinnon5514 I doubt it. With the increased brightness everything will look better. It’s just for anti reflection.
That is gonna cost double for sure without a doubt
Do you need high brightness for something right in your face though?
@@DadSherwood for HDR yes
I want a ps5 but still hard to get one , the 42 inch tv looks perfect to use as a gaming monitor with it and to plug in to the pc . Launch price will be hefty but im in no rush maybe after august i will purchase the ps5 and tv together . Im certain the prices will drop. C1 is going for about 899euros now here 48inch but that seems a bit too big to use as a monitor.
One thing I hate about regular monitors is the fuzzy coating, for some people it is useful, for me it just trashes the vibrancy
I dont think the sony supports Gsync , so for PC gaming thats a must
I'm quite sure it does, tge previous models did
any info on a possible release date ??
around mid June or July
I have the 55'' oled c1, just sold out my current monitor, to wait for this 42'' release!! cant wait!
I have the C1 48, I think it doesn't look any difference with the C2 despite smaller screen, better get the Sony A90K 42inch oled, perfect for PS5
it's not a ****in monitor it's a ****in tv.
8k at a solid 30fps huh...
The stand is different
still too large to be used as a PC monitor unfortunately in my opinion.
👍
