You click into what I call "rush mode". You are able to pump out drink after drink without really stopping to ponder, and you do it in the most efficient way possible. It's an awesome feeling, and one reason why I personally love it when we get big rushes of people in my coffee shop.

my favorite thing about watching fellow baristas who are far better than me is observing how they move. it never seems forced, fast or unnatural. watching baristas who have been serving coffee for years move as fluidly as the water is so brilliant.

Under 2 years as a barista, used to be a bartender and i've really got to say this is a perfect workflow you've got, my workflow is pretty similar in every aspect but without all the equipments like a milk dispenser, puq press, 3 group head la morzocco machine and i don't even have a pitcher rinser 🤣 but man it's my dream to open up my own cafe with all the fancy equipments one day! Looking at slayer espresso though! worked with la morzocco machines before & they are a workhorse but aesthetically slayer defo wins imo.
    Keep up the good work!!

5 years as a barista and I'm in love with the design of the bar: grinders with doses by weight, auto tamper, milk dispenser, pitcher rinsers... Every is full planned and the workflow is never interrupted. And the sort of alternative milks and coffee beans origins and decaf... Some day I wish have a espresso bar like this. I'm in love with this video. Hugs from Venezuela! ❤️

    What an amazing learning opportunity.
I loved your attention to detail with things such as your process for pre-ground decaf, and the element of consistency in your tamps between staff members for consistent pours.
I really felt the time crunch in those first few orders, and reading how you broke down each movement, strategy and justification.
I had one thought about an efficiency process. If you're meticulously tracking each order, could you change your process from writing on cups/post it notes to a digital display? It would display concose orders with the benefit of digital timers and an All Day readout. I'm using the Square KDS app which has been a brilliant improvement in our bar.

Wow! Thanks to your other videos I have so enjoyed learning about, and making speciality coffee at home, but this video stresses the shit out of me! I could never handle the stress of working in a cafe and creating the quality of drinks you’re making. Kudos, and I definitely appreciate the job of a barista even more than I did before.

Amazing video Jimmy ! Just getting a taste of a live production scene! Wow, there is a structured system to the process and every move has a reason why! I got a little stressed just watching another customer coming in and another one! LOL. Question, is there a reason why a Malkonig Ek43 is used for Decaf as opposed to another Anfim? Please share more of these live experiences! Thank you!!

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters  2 роки тому +1

Thank you 🙏🏻, we use the ek for our single origins, decaf, and the other 2 blends we offer separately to our main bean in the anfim. Having a grinder for each is just not practical 👍🏻

Can you teach me how to clean the coffee machine? And how to keep unused coffee beans And how long can I keep it
When frothing the milk to create a shape on the coffe, can the leftover milk be kept?

Dude. When the second person just walked in, My anxiety went through the roof. 1. I'm not a people person and 2. I have ADHD so I need to finish task 1 before starting task 2. Thank you for letting me know I never need to be a barista. I'll stick with my mourning routine of pour over to my self. Keep up the great work.

Love this video, relaxing to watch and impressive work flow/ multitasking.
Two q's for you if you're still here 😀
    1) How can you tell when the milk is steamed to the right temp?
    2) How often is the machine cleaned?

      Hey, glad you enjoyed it.
Check out my video on using a thermometer ua-cam.com/video/oel4nU_AUtA/v-deo.html It's the only way to truly get the temperate right.
We clean our machine throughout the day and chemical clean it every day. If you use more than 1kg on a machine, it needs to be cleaned.
      Hope this helps

Great video, you should definitely do more of these. and love the clean, well considered work space with all the toys. Very jealous haha also, if you dont have to split your milk, try spinning the sugar in the milk - ensures it gets dissolved and quicker than stirring it in ✌

I'll try the sugar in the milk but would be hesitant because any wastage of milk would leave behind some of the sugar. Interested to see how it effects the milk though.
      Cheers

This is so cool! my favorite part has got to be the one with ryan sitting on the stairs thinking hes out of the shot haha. This work flow and the resources you have there are really impressive. Right down to the little details of walking a take away coffee over to the customer when ever you can. I used to do that all the time when i was working in a cafe and that would honestly mean a lot to people.
