Was a barista for a time and had that same experience of seeing people wait outside the cafe before it opened (at like 5:30am), sometimes even when it was raining. It's a mostly chill time, even if you're in the midst of rush it can go relatively smoothly if you have enough stock/staff to accommodate. The hard part is dealing with entitled customers, bonus that if you get a bunch of them back to back during rush. I strongly believe that I learned more about life in 6 months of managing a cafe than I did in 4 years of college. Everybody should experience working this type of job at some point in their lives. You have my respect fellow barista!

Damn. All i see is how many people walking around without masks on. Feels like we (america) will never be back to that😭😭😭 lighter note, this making me really want some coffee lol
Its tough times for all. In Melbourne (Australia) we went from over 700+ cases a day to 0. Granted we endured fairly harsh lockdowns for 6 months, we now sit fairly comfortable and appear to be on top of it now. Masks were required and are now loosened with the need for masks only when shopping in tight confines. Wishing you the best of luck, stay strong. It may feel like forever, but things will slowly become normal over time.
@@knittingdoula Sydney had it pretty good. Lockdown for around 6 weeks in march then everything slowly started opening up again. Was at the beach on the weekend and you couldnt even tell we were in a pandemic. Until after Christmas, most people didnt wear masks. Felt sorry for the guys in Melb though, they had pretty severe lockdowns.
@@shavenkat yeah, I'm in Melbourne and as you know we're currently on lockdown no.3. I'm really hoping we reopen this Thursday. They say it'll only be five days but who knows that may get extended up to a few more days or even weeks or months for that matter. Fingers crossed that's not gonna happen. 🤞🤞 🙏
I now realize working at a coffee counter could be a busy job that involves so many tasks.. Preparing the milk, coffee bean, and the machine, then actually brewing the coffee, then test tasting the coffee to make sure they are good enough , then serving customers, then getting money from customers. But I think the most satisfying moment is when you are able to see your customers put a smile on their faces when they are enjoying the coffee you make. Hard work pays back. That's the essence of being a professional barista. I am glad you can provide delicious coffee for you customers before they head for another long day for their work.
With that kind of space, I would say you have to be extra careful on the latte art because a slight bump and it's all gone 😂😂 but then I realised it's a take away cafe, so lucky you 😜😜😉

I actually enjoy that kind of workflow. Time just passes faster that way for me and I like the customer interaction :) If I have a job with a lot of downtime I just constantly check the clock and wait for my shift to end, but if I got something to do all the time an 8 hour shift can feel like 5

It may feel like forever, but things will slowly become normal over time.
I legit choked up seeing everyone without masks. It's brutal here in America on so many levels.
With that kind of space, I would say you have to be extra careful on the latte art because a slight bump and it's all gone 😂😂 but then I realised it's a take away cafe, so lucky you 😜😜😉
Yess it happened so many times 🤣
Thank you :)
This video was wonderful and very well made. Thankyou for putting in the work you did to make it.
Thank you si much :)
GOOD MORNING. YOU COOK THE COFFEEE ☕☕☕
Lovely video and great editing. Coffee and breakfast look delicious.
Now I just wanna go there and drink coffee made by this barista hahaha
Please make many videos of this type. Its unique and interesting!. Very glad to see things are getting busy!. Subscribed. Lovely greetings from Germany.
Thank you so much :)
Lovely country! Hope I can visit there one day 😉
@@BaristaBeeJournal1 You are in a beautiful country as well, Australia. Hope to be there one day as well : D
Shocked you can have the biscuits out on the counter
We used to have customers just grabbing handfuls when we left ours out 😂
I'm sure it's said many times already but I want to thank you for this. It was thoroughly entertaining, relaxing and educational. I absolutely love the music too!
Thank you🙏
The best thing in life is not how much you're paid but how you enjoy doin it
I’m so glad I found your UA-cam!! It’s so nice to see fellow baristas working!! ❤️❤️❤️ It’s so nice to be back behind the machine 😀
And i get confused while making coffee for my own on a french press
Didnt notice it was already 21mins. I enjoyed watching the video. Hoping someday i can work also in australia. Thanks for sharing your daily life and have a great day
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you :)
This looks exhausting. I don't understand how people call this video relaxing. Can you imagine keeping up this hectic workflow for hours on end?? We only saw 20 minutes! You should get paid more for this amount of work.
I actually enjoy that kind of workflow. Time just passes faster that way for me and I like the customer interaction :)
If I have a job with a lot of downtime I just constantly check the clock and wait for my shift to end, but if I got something to do all the time an 8 hour shift can feel like 5
@@Nyahnator couldn't agree more. Busy days are the best and they pass the quickest.
This video was so relaxing to watch. You are so good at your job!
Thank you :)
Tbh low key now I wanna be a batista. I've always been told I'm great with customers working in sales.but I hate how id get close to customers and my boss would want me yo push a credit card. Making coffee id be able to just enjoy talking Making coffee and just sell them a coffee nothing else.
Mind-boggling work flow - I don't know how you do it, but it's impressive. I hope things have picked up for you again. You deserve great success! :-)
Man, I thought she just changed her workplace. Turns out that's a complete different person. Some people know what I'm talking about lol
Yeaa samee! ahahah

when i'm stressed i just watch your videos. It's so therapeutic
smooth workflow, but still better to wear a mask esp during this time lol
Yes, we are wearing mask all the time now :), The video was recorded in November when we had 0 case for a long period of time. Now wearing mask is mandatory :)
You are so cute!! I like to see how diligent you are so early in the morning and it's not an easy job and you keep smiling.. nice to watch the video. Thank you very much, and have a good one 😀
