Thank you for sharing, Pam! I so enjoy your videos. I have had excellent results for my shimmer spray by using a tablespoon of metallic or pearlescent acrylic paint to 2 oz of water. It dries beautifully, does not rub off on your hands, and writing on it is a joy. I also noticed that the cheaper the metallic paint I use, the better the results when sprayed. 😅
Oh that is great, thank you for that tip - I am going to try it!
This is the perfect recipe! I just made a pink shimmer and a gold shimmer! So exciting! Thank you for the video!
Awesome, glad to hear it my friend!! xx Pam
Great video. I will give this a try. I can go through a 2oz bottle of glimmer spray on one project so learning a more economical way to make it will be very gratifying. TFS 😁
I know what you mean!
Pam this is soooo cool and easy to make, I love it! Thank you for sharing this. 🥰💕
You are welcome!
This is a great tool and almost a must for future jj projects...will be making some soon! Thanks for the DIY!! ❤😊
YAY!
Pam, just love this idea. I'm definitely going to try this.
Yay! Have a great day Irene!
Great idea Pam! Beautiful!
Thanks Hazel!
Tyvm for the tip Pam, i want to try it 🤗
Oh wow, such a great idea! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Hi, just an FYI from my soap making days - you can buy mica from soap and cosmetic supply companies like TKB trading, Aussie Soap Supplies, etc they sell to individuals as well as companies and have every colour of the rainbow including duo-chromes.
That is an awesome tip! Thank you so much!
I make mine with metallic acrylic paint and rubbing alcohol. The paint has a binder, so it doesn’t rub off.
Thanks for the tip - I will be trying that for sure!
❤❤❤
Scrapdaworld said to puch a hole in bottom of mica eyeshadow to help the airflow so the powder will come out.
That's a great tip - thank you for sharing!
List of products please
Hello - The list of products is in the description box - thanks for asking!
Any thoughts on why the glue and alcohol separate, and the glue almost formed a ball? I followed your directions exactly, and even used the same items.
I don't know why that happened.... I have to tell you I created some more and my glue balled up too! Maybe my glue was too thick and getting a bit old. I am going to try again and will update you with my results!
@@GlamJunkJournals Thank you! :) I swapped out the glue for modpodge, it made it more pearlescent than just shimmer but worked in a pinch. I also subbed liquid spray adhesive, from the dollar tree, and that worked out nicely too, but the clear glue just globs, even with a new bottle. maybe they changed the recipe :/
@@Tarni64 Oh wow! Thanks for the update, I appreciate it... I have also seen liquid hairspray used. I agree, I think the recipe has changed!! Thank you again!
Do you make a shimmer spray that you can put on skin ?
I have not tried that, although it sounds like a really cool idea!
Is this permanent on fabrics/clothes?
I have not tried this on fabric - I have only used it for paper. I don't think it would be permanent on clothing.
