What`s funny about the scene at 26:05 is that the only one having the time of their life at the village is the old man; everyone else is still in the atla.
First time player going through it now, am getting seriously pissed off at how poorly various things are explained. Especially the weapons upgrade system.
@@KCzz15 Yeah dude, weapon level system is straightforward like people said. Only negative is that it is tedious, that's it. I don't mind rpg with grind but the power up is happening so slow, that you don't even get "End-game" weapon without finishing the game first :( kinda sucks if you wanted the ultimate weapon like me for the final part.
@@KCzz15 XD yeah when i was younger i didnt take the full advantage of wepon synthetics. Like in my older years i went back and blew through the whole game with almost all maxed weapons that made the last boss look like a bowl of spaghetti
On my PS2 save file I have a game sitting at 99:99:99, can't remember how many dungeon entrances though, that also has every character's ultimate weapons maxed out. Only file I played through legitimately.
If at all possible, it'd be really cool to get one of those controller diagrams on screen that's synced with your movements so we can see what you're doing in the glitch menus

Nice! That will cut the length of the run by over half. Are bats and statues incapable of dropping Dran's Crest, or are you just skipping enemies that consume more time/resources?
Statues are skipped since they take many hits, and they consume 2/3 of the Dagger's WHP. If a statue has the gate key, I reset. Cave Bats never drop anything.
Wow, my version of the game is completly bugged like in cutscenes Toan is still walking or there is a wrong cutscene playing for a brief moment. The broken dagger glitch makes some weapon stats go negative.
Jonathan Legassie it's affected by rng in a way. certain things only drop at a certain floor though. pretty sure you always have macho and komacho's house on the first 2 floors or at least by floor 3
I beat the game completed every dungeon including the demon shaft only going into dungeons 60 times.....I wasn't even trying to it just happened I probably could have done less if it was intentional XD

The upgrade system is pretty straightforward man... Just attach stuff to meet the buildup requirements.

How do you know which positions modify which code? Is there a debug program or similar around?
I use Cheat Engine to monitor the game's memory. When I drop an item into a slot, I can see which memory addresses that slot uses.

Holy hot damn.
This can be improved by about 25 to 30 seconds. You wasted a lot of time when you took damage and became poisoned and thirsty.
