I haven't eaten their chicken dishes yet, but the eggs skillet and the other egg breakfast are very good I need to order the chicken meals.... the beef stroganoff is the best meal... LOL so far no complaints on the meals I've ordered.... the biscuits and gravy is odd bit has good flavor.....
The Arctic MREs are the best! Like you said, they're civilian mountain house meals and taste great compared to regular MREs. Most people stationed in AK have jetboils for heating MREs and for waterbottles to warm up your sleeping bag before you head to bed lol
M/H are probably hands down the best freeze dried chow I've had..... the chili Mac is good but the beef stroganoff is the best out of all the different entries I've tried.... just my experience
Mountain House Meals have a fair amount of sodium, so potentially higher than a standard. I'll have to do a full breakdown to see if there is a large difference in nutritional amounts between the two. Calorie wise, the Cold Weathers are just a little higher.
Nice, let’s get that out on a tray
Nice, M'kay
Actually, not bad

That is the first time I’ve ever heard somebody explain the difference with a cold WX MRE

Never saw these when I was in, always wondered how they tasted

@Venture, sure could use another M-61 kit sale.........
i have always just bought freeze dried stuff because of how long it lasts and the basic ingredients. never even thought about the weight.
Got these when I was in Iraq. Makes perfect sense to the Army. 🙄
Army did us the same. Talk about ingenuity trying to boil water in a desert.
They are better I got to use them while stationed in Alaska.
I might be wrong but, isn’t the sodium content higher in cold weather rations than the standard MREs And slightly higher calorie content?

Icy patty-ness. 😂
Nice
12 MRE + 12 Mtn House = 2 weeks of trucking rations.
GREAT INFO......PLEASE SPEAK MORE SLOWLY AND STOP USING SO MANY ACRONYMS. ...
