you can use a cereal box to do test cutting on before cutting your wood to make sure the designs come out before wasting wood. the cereal boxes also work great for stencils too. ive used my air 2 to make a few stencils for air brushing. just got my air 2, so i will be using for other things as well.
good idea...I bought a heavy piece of cardboard. It was only like 2 bucks but, cereal boxes? I already have those in the house and would just pitch them anyway... thanks
Oh hey I have been using $1 placemats from Dollar General for making stencils! Just wanted to share - I like how they are thick enough to not get messed up easily and wipeable!
I’m planning to make these bookmarks for the ladies who attend our annual women’s retreat. I’m very challenged with the software and assembly of Cricut…I tried one five years ago and then gave up. Then I met Jennifer! Last night I finished my first project on Design to Shine 101. My breakdown became a BREAKTHROUGH!
Jennifer: My heartfelt thanks for all that you share and teach. I have a chronic pain disorder so I spend more time at home than I’d like…and making things for other people is truly a part of my heart. I’m loving Design to Shine…it’s availability is perfect for my health situation. If I’ve had a seizure or can’t get around, I can watch and read my lesson in preparation. Teaching is your gift. I wish you every blessing and know that even though it takes me a lot longer, I am loving each little breakthrough and I’m not letting go of your hand! You are loved !!!
@@JenniferMaker You’re stuck with me! I have turned several of my girlfriends on to you. One is a retired third grade teacher who is a phenomenal artist. After watching your first video she called me and shared that she “just knows” you have been a teacher. The way you teach and present amazes all of us. My prayer for you today is that you have been blessed by the happiness you’ve given us.
From a newbie to this business, I am so glad I found you! I've had this machine for 2 years and haven't gone beyond vinyl. Thank you so much for the tutorials.
Hi Jennifer. You are the only craft person that I trust. I am going to start my own business soon. You are a life saver! I am new to Cricut. Thank you for being so patient in your videos! God bless you!
THANK YOU!!! I've been struggling for days making a cake topper with both bass and balsa wood...even watching a video of yours from 2 years ago...I have said soooo many bad words. It wasn't until you reminded me of the veneer...what a game changer ...with the wedding this Saturday, I was hoping I didn't have to bribe my husband or dad to make one on their scroll saw
just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your talent with others. whilst youtube is a great font of creative people it can be quite overwhelming when you have several people telling different ways of doing the same thing (hope this makes sense? lol but yours is now the only one I come to when i want to know anything to do with cricut .You are an help and inspiration to many people . have just watched your video on cutting wood with a cricut and was impressed even down to your giving the thickness of the wood ,covered every thing so thank you once again Kate from Australia
These are simply amazing! I’ve been too chicken to try cutting wood veneer with my Explore 2, but you’ve inspired me to try it! Thanks for a lovely tutorial.
Hello Jennifer.. my first time here and live the details given. Thank you. First timer. Can't work due to lupus. Trying to make ends meet since trying to get disability and learning this is amazing..THANK YOU
Sandra: I’ve had Complex Regional Pain Disorder for over 30 years. We CAN do this ! I hope that it helps distract you from your pain. I can’t always sit at my computer so I watch the tutorials and read the instructions. Maybe you’re better with computers than I am ! However, it helps me understand the techniques and it keeps me actively involved.
Thank you for the clear explanation of the two different blades to use with wood. I have the knife blade but I think I will go get the deep blade also.
well done- just the info I needed. Thank you for being brief and to the point without a lot of music, transitions and fluff- just the facts. furthermore to show a sample project demonstrating the key steps.
Wow! The bookmarks are beautiful, my favorite one is the heart one and I like it that you can use veneer but also add someone's name. What a great gift idea! Great video!
Thank you so much for all your video's. i love them and how you explain everything in so much details. I think you are an amazing lady, so thoughtful and kind for sharing all your hard work and to us for free. you are very special. Thank you. xxxx i will make my own from now on instead of buying them.
Great tutorial! I would love to own a cricut maker and make all these wonderful crafts. For now, I will have to stick with watching from afar and dream.
I thought the veneer was sticky on the back! I totally thought you had to put it onto either basswood or the other. Thank you!! Also the dream box commercial came on... ugh I nearly cry every time. I will have one one day!!!
Thank You! I just got my first machine and I am so excited to use it and learn. We help raise money for our local animal Shelter so I hope to make a lot of cool projects. But I have a lot to learn
So glad I watched your video. I've tried twice and it didn't work out for me. I gave up. But after watching and learning what I was doing wrong I will definitely try again. Thanks Jennifer!🙂
