You didn't mention putting something inside the sweatshirt so the paint doesn't bleed through. I use parchment paper and leave it there till after you've set the paint.
I don't think she did. Sweatshirts are thicker than just a T-shirt so maybe it wasn't an issue on the one she was using. I would still just to be safe though
Hi Whitney. I'm glad you are feeling better!!! This was such a great video!! I loved all the projects and the shrinky dinks definitely bring back some childhood memories 🙂I really loved the part with the multi-colored screen printing but I was wondering if you have a slower step by step video on the design space setup process for the multi-colored printing (including the squares for lining everything up)? I remember you doing a single color version but a multi-colored version would be great if you haven't already done one. I have a screen printing kit and I am still very new to using my cricut and since you are such a great teacher 🙂 it would be fun to have a more detailed video on that process. Thank you so much for everything you do!!!!
Hi Colleen! Thank you for your sweet comment - so glad you enjoy my teaching style!! I have 2 options for you on videos. Here is a slower one with how to layer vinyl with guide boxes: ua-cam.com/video/7ouOLYTC2YM/v-deo.htmlsi=O3oqkI6hm8rBvvxH&t=958 And here is a two-color screen print tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/jUKRXOAPXSg/v-deo.htmlsi=5SAUNt0z2I4KxFMB&t=1286 I hope those help :)
@@Whiskeyandwhit Thank you so much Whitney!!! I definitely always love all of your projects but since I am still very new to my cricut maker 3 your videos are always so fun because you show us things that I had no idea I could even do with my cricut!! 🙂Thank you for the links!! I will go and check those out now 🙂
I was, literally, figuring out how to make it easier to design my shrinky dinks for my VBS class at church. I’ve cut them by hand before but now I can use my cricut. Thank you!!
Hope you are feeling better Whitney!! Spring allergies has gotten me too. I usually pick up clearance permanent vinyl in odd colors to use for my stencils. That way I’m not using my go to colors … Have a great weekend!!
These were all so great Whitney…I love learning more Cricut tips from you. I would like to see more screen printing on wood in the future if this is something you might want to do.
Hi Whitney, I love all your videos and have learned but haven’t tried the Cricut tips. I still have some shrinky dink sheets from about 20 years ago. I am going to dig them out and try it but it probably is too old for the printer but you never know until you try it. Thank you so much for your videos.
When making stencil (for etching or wood burning) I like to add a square behind my design and use the combine+remove or slice to remove the design from the square. That way I know exactly what parts to weed out as inkept confusing myself on what to keep as it’s opposite from normal weeding(and i like having a straight edge as it’s easier to line up for me, plus saving material). Maybe it’s helpful for someone as well 🙂
You make using the cricket look so easy. I struggle. I bought the screen printing kit and it was a bust. I need to get it out and try again. Thank you for your inspiration. Love the shirt.
Just ordered a bunch of the new project items. I used all your links.. I've never done that before, so I hope you get your credit. I love in Maine, and that torch paste wood burning would be great here.. we are a burley, lumberjack, outdoorsy, and nature loving people. So this will make a great addition to my new custom gifts business. Thanks.. and that screen printing is so cool. The pins!! Omg, those are going to be the cutest little addition to my jewelery and accessories offerings.
This was so stinking fun!!! I just don't know what I want to do first! I have had the Torch Paste in my wishlist for so long i just may pull the trigger on that. I have the pen and was so disappointed with the results. I love the idea of the shrinky dinks but i would probably end up putting them in a box along with all the stickers i make never to see the light of day haha! Also the neon multi color screen print looks like a fun craft. I have a kit already but may try multiple colors. Thanks for such an enjoyable video!
I just got a heat press and am learning how to do sublimation. Scorched first two and it was on their settings!! Now I want to screen print!!!!!😂😂 I always enjoy your videos, they are fun to watch, I learn something, variety and you're so nice! I'm glad you left the errors in. Even though I have a Silhouette I was happy to hear you say you've had issues with Cricuts sticker paper and with cutting. I've heard others say they have had issues and am glad the people I watch who have it aren't afraid to say so even though Cricut has sponsored them. I thought a lot of you before and now I do even more. Not that it matters maybe since I'm a stranger... heck didn't plan on saying all that but I'm leaving it in!! Have a GREAT weekend.
This video was so helpful. You explain everything so well that I am not intimidated to try new projects with my Cricut. Thank you. I am hoping I can come to Texas this year to meet you and of course Courtney. Love from Maryland.
I LOOOOOOVE ALL YOUR DIY VIDEOS WHITNEY!! You're truly one of my all time favorite channels on UA-cam and you deserve so many more subs than you already have! Millions imho! Keep em coming bc I learn so much from you and you have a natural talent for teaching! And you make sure not to just gloss over important details! You think of everything and you teach in a way that anyone can follow along, from novice to expert! Thank you so much for always keeping all of us in mind and not just assuming we are all veteran Cricut crafters! Five stars and two thumbs and all fingers up!!😂
Oh my gosh I am so excited for the shrinky dinks!!! Did these when I was a kid and the resin factor is so cool!!! Can't wait to try it!!! love the designs too!!!
Love your Cricut tips, you’ve taught me a lot about my maker! Wish I had the funds to join you all at the Pinners conference, it’s on my birthday weekend and it would be such a great birthday to meet you all. I love being a Craft Buddy of yours. 🩷
We love all of these new projects. My kiddos are dying to make the shrinky dink pins. And we love the stickers too. One grand asked why there were notches out of some of the stickers?! Thank you again for making such a fun videos that my grands and I can watch together. We had to wait til today -a couple of grands were grounded. 😐😉😁 Love it. We've missed you
The stickers are ever so cute! I wish I knew about this when I was a teacher. Happily retired now, but will think about how I can craft/organize with stickers! Love your videos!
Hi! I love your channel. What I have learned from this video? Screen printing. I have heard of it but I have never tried it. Something to try for sure. ;) Thank you for sharing.
I liked the sticker project the most, but think if I ever get unpacked and organized so I can set up my machines, I will also try the pins and the screen printing. Thank you for this great tutorial!
The stickers look pretty fun! But I also like the shrinky dinks. I did those as a kid and now my grandkids do them. Didn't know you could use the Cricut so that's awesome!
Thank you for the great video! I had been having trouble trying to figure out how to design bookmarks in Cricut Design Space, laminating them on both sides, & then cutting them out. Your video was a Godsend! I do have a question, though. How do you use up the self-laminating scraps you trim off before cutting out your stickers? I hate to waste the laminating sheets.
Oh my goodness Whitney, love the shirt. I remember being in my 20s, and shrinky dink stuff was popular then. You are so talented. I love your videos and teaching techniques. Thank you bunches girl. I won one of your bags you made last year with the goodies all 4 of you had. Thank you. Happy crafting! 👍😘😁
I really liked this, I'm trying to do more with my Joy but I'm just not taking the time. I'm saving this one to my Cricut list and can't wait to give some of these a try. Side note - I try not to skip the commercials Whit, but I'm sorry girl, this time I had to do it. It was 45 mins. I've been watching 2-5 min ads, but I just can't do 45. LOL Love Ya!
These are all great. Funny, I just saw the shrinky dink pins last night on Tik Tok. I do want to try the the screen printing. Waiting to save so money to purchase all the items. Have an amazing weekend.
❤the Shrinky Dinks pins and especially the screen printing design! I've always wanted to try screen printing...it just seems like it would be a mess and too many steps to get exactly right. I've also wanted to try torch paste. Do you use your torch heat gun for anything else?
Love your videos and as always, you have the greatest ideas. I noticed when the images were on the sticker printer paper the guide margins were almost at the 8.5 x 11 inch corners. Mine are always at 7.5 x 7.5 inches. I feel like I waste a lot of paper and i make fewer stickers per sheet. Is there a way to fix this? I have a Maker.

@@qtpieb2588 I'm so sorry I missed this!! We will be doing a meet up on Friday and teaching a class at 1p in Classroom 1 on Saturday - can't wait!
Quick tip on the cricut reading the sensor margins! Use a dry bar soap, and go over the margins. This has helped me so much. It works!

Love it all!❤❤
Nice, unique projects!
Very cool!
What kind of printer are you using? The printing looks amazing from these projects.
