Do you think the Striker Control Device from LTT would work on this Glock clone? Btw, really appreciate the engineering breakdown. Some people only talk about the shooting experience and rarely about the mechanism and how safe is the design.
You don't have the pull the trigger to take off the slide, i heard you click and remove slide like the OG glock, however it's not necessary, go try it lol
The striker is in a half cocked position when a round is chambered. The trigger has to be completely pulled for the striker to be completely cocked back. Or It doesn't have enough force to ignite the round. Plus it has to get past the striker block.
You're dealing with people who don't understand that there are safeties that stop the gun from firing without input, safeties that make the gun drop safe, and safeties that prevent the gun from during into a G18. I'm assuming, that a Glock switch interferes with one of those safeties, thus resulting in a gun that continues to fire.
I think the reason Glock hasn’t introduced an fcu all this time is it adds a new variable for safety. That thing better be snug fit and not rattling when installed if you’re gonna mess with it.
I agree, I also think an FCU is perfect for glock, with how many frame to slide sizes they have it just makes sense, more so then even the p320 or echelon
@MF-Rell eh, to me it's beyond just magpull but other company's, I don't have a 320(I wouldn't trust my life to it) but I have a 365 and echelon the big thing is aftermarket company's, like Wilson, tyrant, icrius, sharps bros,
Just keep in mind all the issues Sig had when they first released the 320. Had to issue a huge recall. Hopefully ruger did their homework. This could huge for Ruger. Different size frames, carbine frames, flux like pistol mods.
Is the Narrator a licesed Gunsmith? Since he is calling the strker a "firing pin" I bet not. Get your professional advice from a professional Gunsmith.
100% I enjoying keeping it factory. You can train to be accurate with any trigger. And honestly most are horrible, people's fundamentals are refined. Short/light triggers can make up for poor fundamentals at the sacrifice of safety.
Calling the RXM a "Glock Clone" is such a misrepresentation of the RXM. It is literally everything the Glock isn't, better, and not a Glock at all but that said your point is spot on in terms of safety and parts swapping. Solid Video.
Why? It's a Glock clone made by a 3rd party company that took creative license with some aesthetics, grip angle/contour, optic cut/sights, etc. According to Glock design patents (which are what really matter when defining what it is), it's a Gen3 Glock clone. That's why all the companies making Glock clones had to wait for those patents to expire before selling them. So, it's not a misrepresentation. It just is what it is. Other companies have already done the same for longer and with different platforms. Ruger also makes clones of several Colt designs, such as the 1911, AR-15, & 1873 Single Action Army.
Many, many people are completely unaware and ignorant to these things. While it might have been a little long I'm trying to be helpful to those that don't know.

It would be in Ruger's interest to deviate from the Glock Gen 3 where Glock parts will not work. Actually, to call the RXM a clone is ridiculous, considering one is better made with a chassis and the other is not. Sooner or later the lawyers will pick up on this. Personally, if I were a Ruger engineer I would alter the slide rails where a Glock slide would not fit.

Do you want to stand in front of an Anti-2a DA and 12 easily influenced jurors justifying why YOU, a mere gun owner, altered on-a-whim your everyday carry? #FOOLISHNESS

Great thorough explanation. Learned quite a bit as a casual gun and 2a enthusiast from this video. Keep up the great work!
Very comprehensive presentation. This is definitely one that I will watch many times. Thanks for your attention to detail and basics.
Great video that every Glock/Glock clone shooter should watch and understand. Well done!
Required viewing! Great content!
I just orderd a RMX I would trust the RMX over the Poly Sigs 😂
Fantastic explanation. Subbed. Thanks very much.
So is the main concern with varying specs that the gun might stick full auto/burst fire?
Yes this can happen. Full auto is a little extreme but certainly burst fire problems
Nice functional walkthrough. Thank you.
sear engagement is a moot point on a non cocked striker - especially so with a firing pin block
This is incorrect....there are times where the sear is trying to engage while the firing pin safety is still disengaged
@@8skep1productions yes the safety is disengaged...when the user is depressing the trigger - which they should only ever do when the gun is pointed in a safe direction
Great video, especially for a newer audience that maybe passed over Glocks for the past 40 years.

This is not true....what happens when the user is holding the trigger rearward and the striker slides off the sear? Then what?

Glock fans are losing their 💩 over the Ruger RXM, why?
Because the Ruger RXM is a much better version of a classic Glock design

So what happens when a "professional" calls a striker a firing pin? Does that mean they aren't processional anymore? Because I assure you they have.

I use a 50 pound trigger to be extra safe. All of you guys using the stock 5.5lb are missing refinement on the fundamentals.
