Even the hunting with blanks idea makes sense, because the thrill of the hunt, and using your outdoor skills to track and get in range of your prey doesn't need to end with something dying. Just want to say… I asked my aunt for a German chopped sticker at Christmas two years ago and she had some issues with shipping since we’re all the way in the states. But she told me the guys were very kind to her when she reached out saying the sticker was damaged and immediately sent another - no questions asked. "There is a lot of wrong information floating around and then being re-posted. Often, the translations of German articles do not come through very well and that only complicates the situation further. The BBS Autoteknic GmbH company based in Germany has been owned by a Turkish company (ISH) since December of 2023. We do not know why the owners of this Turkish company decided to put the BBS cast wheel factory into Insolvency. So far, there has not been a statement made by the Turkish group ISH. It seems that even the German management team of BBS was not aware of the plan to put the company back into Insolvency again. BBS of America is owned by the KW Automotive group and is not involved with the Insolvency. Private equity firms are horrendous. They buy up companies and then they load the company with the debt in which they were bought with, adding financial stress from day 1 and then get charged management fees by the equity firms. Sinks so many decent brands for the good of the PE executives.
Something informative I saw MK Motorsports (who retails BBS wheels) post on instagram was that BBS Germany, which produces cast wheels, is a separate entity to BBS Japan, that produces forged wheels. And even the motorsports division is separate again. So no significant changes to buying those kinds of aftermarket stuff.

I think another reason is that some car manufacturers are now making awesome OEM seats in-house. I have had Recaro seats in the past ( Renault Megane RS 265 cup ). I think the previous FK8 and current FL5 Civic Type R are the best OEM “Recaro style” seats in any vehicle on the market. It’s also interesting that Type R Hondas used to come with Recaro seats , and Honda moved away from that in 2015 with the FK2 CTR ( which was never available here in Australia ) to start the development of their own version developed in house at Honda.

mid-90's WRXs were used very briefly as Police chasers/Highway Patrol, until they had their speedos checked and found they weren't properly calibrated. hundreds of people were refunded their fines and points for 'speeding' and not long after, the WRX cop car was decommissioned.

In relation to the New South Wales Highway Patrol Subaru’s. In early 2000’s The analogue speedometers were found to be more than 4km/h out (inaccurate speedometers) so any speeding ticket issued by the Highway Patrol by a ‘Check Speed’ or ‘Moving Radar’ was found to be not legitimate based on the calibration of the analogue speedometer. Then in relation to Highway Patrol cars requiring fast cars. On an almost nightly basis, Highway Patrol are chasing high end luxury vehicles which are being stolen by Juveniles (alot of this doesnt make the news based on the Juvenile Justice System). NSW use Turbo 3.0L BMW Sedan and are now introducinh X5 (especially in remote/regional areas) which are by far more reliable and safer for the Police Officer compared to the old Holden/Ford Sedan. Should definitely do an episode with the NSW Highway Patrol to debunk questions about Myths and Vehicle Defects.

Canada is ran by the king of England and USA is ran by the president. Love the show I have been watching MCM for years. Keep up the great work.
In relation to the New South Wales Highway Patrol Subaru’s. In early 2000’s The analogue speedometers were found to be more than 4km/h out (inaccurate speedometers) so any speeding ticket issued by the Highway Patrol by a ‘Check Speed’ or ‘Moving Radar’ was found to be not legitimate based on the calibration of the analogue speedometer.
Then in relation to Highway Patrol cars requiring fast cars. On an almost nightly basis, Highway Patrol are chasing high end luxury vehicles which are being stolen by Juveniles (alot of this doesnt make the news based on the Juvenile Justice System). NSW use Turbo 3.0L BMW Sedan and are now introducinh X5 (especially in remote/regional areas) which are by far more reliable and safer for the Police Officer compared to the old Holden/Ford Sedan. Should definitely do an episode with the NSW Highway Patrol to debunk questions about Myths and Vehicle Defects.

That thing about "just drink when you're thirsty" only works for some people. If you've got ADHD you'll be working at your desk for 12 hours straight without realising you're seriously dehydrated and haven't had anything to drink all day but a morning coffee.

There is an enforced international border between USA and Canada, for what its worth. Before 9/11 it ran through some towns and you could have your house in USA and gas station in Canada. Now, people in these towns have to go through customs to get gas or go to the grocery store.
What a waste of time and money
