I completely agree with you about the weight of the fly and the water column that it is in. Especially with wild trout, if doesn’t look perfect they won’t take it.
Is this creek public access or a member type thing? I'm in central PA would love to hit this stream. Penns Creek here is also great fishing for wild browns.
@@fishyintentions4305 lol penns is pretty much my backyard. Love the stream and wouldnt trade it, but new water is always an adventure. Thanks for the info.
What net is that? I have a frabil rubber net but the holes are really small and hooks get tangled in them easily. Also the river is weaker so there is a few rips in them
How’s it going man! I love this video and me and two buddies are planning on making a trip to penslyvania next week. If you are interested in meeting up and making a video together that would be sweet. I’d be happy to fish with you and show you some coool spots in Michigan for exchange
I enjoyed the video, however suggest you do some more research into how to handle trout. You are rough with them, especially when beaching them around rocks and you keep their heads out of water way too long.
Special regulation streams are opened year round. You can read up on all the different special regulation waters and their specifics on the PFBC website.
@@fishyintentions4305 why not just call them “golden steelhead”? Lmao they are farm-raised, genetically mutated (bright yellow to make ‘em super easy to see underwater) oncorhynchus mykiss. Nothing more!
Some beautiful trout guy's, we caught some nice ones here in West Virginia, doing the spring. Niccccee
Great Footage! Big Rainbows and Love those Palominos!
Great video !!
Glad you enjoyed it! There's more to come!
Great job man!
Thanks!

stay in one seam!
beautiful fish.
Great video. Excellent channel.
Beautiful Golden my dude!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome video. Nice fish
Glad you enjoyed
Like your idea on organizing flies. I tie flies with different color thread to indicate weight. Helps me and fish never seem to mind.
I always thought maybe I should use bead color to distinguish fly weights.
Awesome video!
Thanks!
In California they stock the lakes here with those same trout. We call them lightning trout.
nice fish i went to the same spot the other day and walked down lots of nice fish down there!
From Delaware county in PA. I caught some monsters this year. 22.5” bow and 18.5 golden.
Awesome! Nice job!
Good footage.
Thanks!
Wow! Those trout are big enough to be wearing their own GoPros.....

This is a keystone select which is all public access and stocked by the state. You want to head south east from Penns!??? I'll trade places with ya.

What grip do you use in your risen rod?

Fishpond NoMad
Golden trout only live at high elevation in the Sierra Nevadas.
What fly are you using
Love that creek

How is it possible that you are fishing a Keystone select stocked trout stream before opening day?
Special regulation streams are opened year round. You can read up on all the different special regulation waters and their specifics on the PFBC website.
Yea it's open year round with artifical lures only
I do find it ironic how the big ones are always the ones that end up getting snagged
Actually ended up snagging fair share of smaller fish. It's bound to happen when you're drifting multiple flies through pods of fish
stop throwing the trout in!!! release them nicely!
When I've helped stock, we were told to throw them in rather than gently dumping them.
Have you ever seen them stock fish? Dumped down a tube, dropped from a small airplane. They survive just fine
aha I lost the big golden in the hole below ya here.
I need to come to down your guys way lol our keystone select streams don’t have that quality fish like u guys have
@andrew_knight wish u could link that 5inch golden from the keystone waters this year here lol
U guys catch some tanks every video haha
Frankentrout
🤣 They actually are genetically manipulated!
@@bdickinson6751 for sure!
I could never keep a golden trout!
Dinner.
Why don’t you keep the fish? It’s good fried fish put some butter
McDonalds fish sandwich is cheaper
Palomino trout ≠ golden trout
What was stated in the title was accurate. Golden Rainbows ≠ Golden Trout. These are Golden Rainbows, not Golden trout, nor Palomino trout.
@@MattYoung1988 they are absolutely palomino trout
Incorrect, do some research and you'll see the state stopped stocking actual palomino trout awhile ago and instead stock a golden rainbow strain.
