My 2 favorite trout baits are trout magnets and small plugs and can be found in the links below. I am aware that Palominos and Golden Rainbows are slightly variant subspecies, I just call them palominos as thats what I have called them since I was a kid...

my rod and reel are.. I dont know but theyre cheap. get yourself something nice and cheap for the stockies.

One time in Montana a goose hopped up on my dock and wouldn’t leave me alone. Let me pet him and feed him then actually came into my cabin. It was actually a pain to try to get it to leave, I think something was wrong with him. The goose in this video reminded me of it lol

I have never seen somebody get so close to and able to pet a nesting goose! I get them hissing all the time.
And nice job with those 2 bigger trout! That broodstock rainbow was very similar to a 20" rainbow I caught in CT just after Opening Day where it didn't fight much and didn't even do any splashing.

It’s cool that Pennsylvania stocks different species of trout. I have been trout fishing 3 times in the last week, and caught nothing. There is fish jumping, but I have only had two hits.

Yea they put a lot of goldens in the wiss because of a trout tournament they had they also put in 8 pounder in there as well check out the wissahickon crick anglers page on Facebook to see picks they were they ones who stocked it
Appreciate catch and release spring trout, knowing that summer will likely take them out. At least a few outings in SE PA are fun before low water, low ox and high temps kill them off.
right.. these things most likely will die if they make it to the hot water time.. but at least they can be caught a few more times before then.

Fenwick Eagle and some shimano....maybe a sienna? $100 combo is now "nice and cheap".
I honestly thought that was a field and stream rod I bought a couple winters ago... no idea where that came from as Ive never bought a fenwick, but youre right it is a fenwick eagle. 100$ for an UL combo isnt nice and cheap you are right... generally I buy the cheapest rod I can for UL fishing

I swear PA stocked more palominos than usual this year, in the past I'd never catch them but I've caught 5 this year already and they seem to be everywhere.
In the last week ive seen 4, 2 were about 22, my friend caught the one it was 22, the other 22 just dissapeared

Chris how. Do you fish the trout magnets? All i do is float them like they were a butter worm, but i wanna jig them like you do
I let them sink and then twitch them mid water column. I had better luck with the little husky jerk than I did with the trout magnet most of this season, I got some of those palominos on the magnet but for the most part I didnt catch much else with them.

I was told by a friend to not hold the fist by the body but just with a thumb in the mouth. He said that the fish have a slime on their bodies that protects them from diseases and vermin and so it is wise not to disturb it. What say you?
Wet your hands and it doesnt hurt them, it is true if you handle them with dry hands on the body they lose slime

thats a palomino trout! beautiful but you have to go to extremely high elevations in very few places to actually catch a true real golden trout!
