I have the same mods, different brands. On TSP stage 1+. The preference is yours. You can stay where you're at or get it tuned specifically for your mods via e tuned or locally. The next time you'll need a tune for sure is adding flex fuel or a bigger turbo. FMIC does not require tuning, however the Race Maf does. That's why the company asks which Maf you have. The downpipe however, high flow catted may cause CEL but can be "deleted" through ktuner so you don't have the dash light.
Ktuner is trash. It’s buggy as hell. You have to reflash your car multiple times before the tune will take and ktuner has no desire to fix this issue according to the email responses I’ve received from them about it. If your going to track your car, like streets of willow for example, get the koyorad radiator and get a mishimoto coolant catch can. The factory system dumps your coolant to the street. Great question! We recommend anytime that you add additional hp over the stock hp, that you should consider upgrading the factory clutch. Even with just a Stage 1 tune, we've seen that the TQ is too much for the OEM clutch to handle.
The point is is that the type r is around 37k plus taxes is around 45k just to buy the car stock. Then modding it will be more expensive. In this case buy a used evo it's cheaper and make 700 hp or more. More of a budget build if you perfer the si looks which let's be honest the coupe si looks wayyyyyyy better then the type R. Also another route get a mustang gt 420 hp stock for around 30k. Maybe ways to go around this but it's an so cut it some slack

@@darkknight097 I wouldn’t recommend that lol lots of people that I know got a refund a week after ordering and went ppg
Rv6 is working on an “affordable” gearset
@@ImKotaa oh nice!
Can I do these same mods on my accord with the cvt transmission
Lmfaoooiiiiiiiii
To an extent, but the cvt is much, much weaker than the manual in the Si.
2018 si coupe, got mine for $21k w/3miles, was fun but moved up to the fk8
And it's a cvt auto. No manuals here. Rare find. It's also a Sport
Can these mods be done on 10th gen civic ex sedan?
Many will be able to as it shares a similar 1.5t engine. Give us a call before placing an order to confirm though!
Would you advise to follow the mild build and follow it in that order or would it be better to do intercooler and clutch first?
Great question! We recommend anytime that you add additional hp over the stock hp, that you should consider upgrading the factory clutch. Even with just a Stage 1 tune, we've seen that the TQ is too much for the OEM clutch to handle.
Seem like i can't find anything on 9th Gen Civic Si...like my 2015 Si in ur website
Better off starting with a more capable platform like the type r. Stock clutch will handle 500whp and you achieve big numbers with simple bolt ons.
That's too easy
@@cryxbaby2250 lol
Yeah.. that or a 9th Gen Si. No point in blowing it on a small engine Si.
@@Stormtrooper-oc4vn I don’t know how you’re getting $8,000 in taxes man. I went from an 2018 si FBO on ethanol with a spec clutch and flywheel and had nothing, but lockout issues. I traded in and paid $37,500 for the R plus taxes I was around 39k. I am fbo on now on 93 and make 385hp RELIABLY. You can’t compare the 2 cars. Yes, if you want a fast straight line car get the mustang, though I hang with new 5.0 ‘a and 392 scat packs all the same 👍
How in the HELL can a down pipe be more than an intercooler?! I'll assume it's a tiny side mount and not a front mount.
If you have a catted downpipe with an upgraded GESI cat, it costs more than an intercooler for these vehicles.
so its around the same for an rsx?
I wouldn't say that because those cars are a completely different platform. We will be carrying more RSX parts in the near future though!
@@maperformance bookmarking website then 👀
If you put $30k into your Civic you are a straight lunatic.
No
I put 6k into mine but at 30k you might as well put something down on something faster off the jump and mod it out of warranty. Im probably gonna stop after flex fuel, which is my last mod left.
Just buy a type r at that point. Plus I’m surprised he didn’t mention a K swap.
@@DjGo99 no one is K swapping these at this point. There have been maybe two examples that I know of where people have put K20C motors (turbo variants) into them but we aren’t there yet in terms of availability of motors or age of chassis. These are still mostly new(ish) cars. Much more common for people to come back with a built L15 when they blow these motors. I don’t know of anything off the shelf that you can do in terms of a k swap yet. You’d be pretty far down the rabbit hole at that point.
@@ehren-foley you can now buy complete crate k20c1 engine for about 11k from Honda. The Chassis definitely needs more time to develop or at least more people I should say document their swaps but seeing a k24a2 or k20z3 in an 2015+ civic si would be 🔥🔥🔥
If I already have a prl big turbo kit with the standard gtx2860r can I just upgrade the turbo to get more power?
Sure but you would have to get it re-tuned
And If you're at fuel limit you'll need fuel system
If youre on ethanol, you'll see maybe a 15-20whp gain from going 2860->2867. If youre on pump gas there won't be a difference.
More economical to get a meth injection kit.
What mod would I need to add 1 hp?
A cool, fall morning should give you about 1 more HP! 😂
Hell yeah brother 💯
does this work for civic ex t
Some mods are compatible as long as it shares the 1.5t, give us a call to confirm though!
I bought my 2020 si for 26k. And I love it
Over 4k to be at 240-250 wheel. Add it how much a used si cost, mise well find a used type r.
A year later and now most of the Civic SI's near me are $30k even if they are a 2017. FML
No oil catch can?
A catch can is a good upgrade, but you won't see any power gains from doing so!
Do a video on the R though
Picked up my 17 coupe for 13,500 clean title and all…… might have had to replace a few things though 💀
11th gen mod video please
17k? When it came out it was like 25 msrp
LSA engine swap?
😳😳😳
Thank you so much
For 20 thousand you could buy a v6 6 speed 9th gen accord, or even a good condition g37 manual
or a v6 g35 if you want a cool car for cheap
@@walkerhendricks4533 most g35 are all clapped out now, they are too old. Even a lot of the g37s are clapped, I spent over a year looking every day for a g37 stick
@@mrmiagi6052 yea g37 or 370z are both cars that are the same price as an si but have way more hp and performance from factory
No grippy tires? Damn Im surprised 🤣 I’d think you’d definitely wanna upgrade your tires
I don't think they sell tires hahaha this is prices for the products they sell
Definitely going to want some good rubber! Hit up our friends @fitmentindustries!
Soft sticky tires and lighter wheels was the very first thing i did
Can I see a s2k version of this video
This sounds like 1990 mazda turbo II days of yesteryear
9k coupe with 173kmiles, wish me luck!
What are the differences between the Civic Si engine and the engine from the Accord Sport 1.5t?
It’s the same engine they are just tuned differently
Get me on the type r
I have a si but it the 11 gen 😭 I hope this work
So basically rob a bank and sell a kidney, got it !
Anything for the build!! 😅
@@maperformance anything for the female
When the new golf r comes out I would like to see you gays build it
You didn't mention head bolts
Hmm increase power...replace brake pads, clutch, throw in a intercooler....but not the discs!? This isn't the way to go! this is your advise ?? to not be able to stop safely!
Brake discs have less to do with braking performance than pads! Slotted and drilled rotors are a viable upgrade, but not necessary on a street car.
