My dad has owned only honda civics ever since the first model came out, I was raised in the back of his 6th gen he bought off the lot and it became my first car, since then Ive had a few cars including an STI and its still with me. the 10th gen was when he knew they werent the same car and for the first time since 1974 he bought a different car.. a subaru. after he experience my STI. good times.
Alex forgot to mention the B18C1 Engine with b series tuning options and the k20 and k24 engines swap that can be done those k series civics are fast turbocharged and can make around 200hp with a stock k24 I drive a 99 eclipse so civic in the car community are like my brother from another mother I just done like ricers that make us look bad because they dont do there research on their car
Used to own a 99 SI EM1 and it was a killer experience. Like you said the smiles never dropped from my face. Cool thing about it was all it took was a tune and I could daily drive, slap the other tune and It was chugging on race fuel down a strip. It was truly a lot of fun. This Civic had a B16JDM/B18 Frankenstein build hooked with a short shifter, plenty of exhaust and ignition parts, fuel injectors and a hot tune and barely broke bank. Jump about 10 years and I have a 9th Generation Civic SI Sedan and this thing is everything I could ask for in a more modern adult vehicle. Enough room to go shopping or on a roadtrip but small enough that with the added suspension and horsepower that honda slapped inside, handles those weekend roads like a dream. This ride came with a K24.Z7 at 201hp stock, still killing it with the high 8-9k rpm and a whole lotta I-Vtec fun. I feel, in my experienced opinion, that the 9th Generation is the 6th Generation but more matured with the modern design and engine build. They both have a curb appeal while keeping to its more sporty dynamic. Really enjoyed the video and Ill definitly be taking a look at that gallery of yours, maybe add mine someday.
@LAN Evo nah, stock with 330hp. You are watching a video about a car that comes with barely 200hp. A G makes a Si look and feel like a smart car. Fuck honda finally made a somewhat quick car (type r) and it's as pretty much equal with a g37 in terms of 1/4 mile
I've had a few SIs in my day. Starting with a 90 CRX SI. Then a 6th gen bubble hatch. I went from an 8th Generation to 10th Generation 2019. Yes it was a little bit of a adjustment going from a high revving Vtech to a turbo charged but after about a year with the 1.5 turbo and a few aftermarket parts and a good tune, the current generation is now my favorite for driving experience. Granted I'm now pushing 40 and have kids to haul around, but my 3 year old daughter loves it when I do a quick pull to 60 or 70 from a stop light and the smile on her face might have something to do with it.
I got a 93 Si Hatch and it’s amazing honestly. The d series doesn’t put out a lot of power but you don’t need power to take corners at 60 and not have to worry about it. Needless to say, It’s a blast to drive.
Literally even a non-vtec civic puts a smile on my face. They are such great cars to drive! If you hate Civics, you haven’t driven one (or driven it long enough).
8th gen is overall best rounded Si. Classic Honda feel, newer body but can be stanced or full race car. Fun to drive and can make a lot of power stock. I make just over 500whp onna stock block and trans.
My dad has an 8th gen with 300k miles, and it’s been beat on, daily used for years, and all it’s ever needed has been tires, oil changes, now a new clutch, and water pump. It’s literally a trooper.
6th and 8th are my favs (I do love the EF as well) but it was before my time as I was younger when they were out. I own an 8th gen SI, I love it, and I don't want to give it up ever. Reliable, fun, pretty well made overall, drives great. That transmission though.. Love it.
Have enjoyed my 2007 Civic Si for the 2 years that I've had it . I recently burnt out my clutch at 152,000 miles . New one already and it feels so good and powerful love it
I own a 6th gen, and with a few seat covers, and a good cleaning, the interior looks timeless. And stock the car is still a blast to drive. The only regret i have about it is that it isnt a manual
I always kept on forgetting that the Honda Civic at least the 7th or 8th generations were on my mind of owning as my first car. I mean the first car I drive is a '03 Toyota Camry but I am still under my parent's car insurance because I'm 19 and still relatively new on the road. But when I have my own car and insurance, well that's hopefully if I get out of my parents house sooner or later.
Just bought my first set of wheels an hour ago from you guys! Also just started my Chanel and can’t wait to start up! Thanks so much guys! Also I drive a stanced 2017 Honda Civic sport hatch! Keep up with the build!
@Roberto Magallanes it’s got way too many miles for that price, you can get one with much lower miles for that price if you keep hunting… prices also vary where you live
Yes sir. I kick myself for not having the extra 1800$ for the 99 si back in 2007. I got the 97 ex coupe instead. I did personally drive that bastard for 210,000 thousand miles though. It had 289,000 when i sold it 7 years later.
3 1/2 years with my 9th gen Si. Its been highly reliable and a blast to drive everyday. The stiff ride takes some getting used to though, especially with the 💩 roads here in Texas.
Arguably the most hated on car in the car community, but my modified 8th Gen civic will always make me smile, and the look you get after beating BMWs on the highway will never get old..
Back in the day JDM was so good and it was at it's peak with car manufacturers making the best cars out their. Now it's went down the drain and every car brand has lost what was precious to them but Honda till this day hasn't lost what made it so special. It started at the bottom but rose up to be extremely good
I still saw many Honda Civic SI specially 6th Gen in my country Dominican Republic and I really feel joy each time I see one of them, Honda really managed to make good cars that resist the test of time 😎😎🔥🔥🔥
I had an 06 si and honestly I wish I didn’t crash it, it’s been my favorite car and I can’t wait till I buy another one at one point, it’s was really comfortable interior was and had a good look to it

I was a salesman at honda for a bit and even in today's market, people still bought brand new SI's. Even with markup, people really love these cars. Fun to drive
I love the si so much I just hate that once you put an exhaust on it or do anything to it it’s automatically riced out. I can respect a clean build but when you tell someone you own a Honda Civic Si i feel like the general consensus is people won’t take you seriously in the car community.
Francis D. I’ve owned two integras, a prelude, and a 10th gen si. Always wanted an 8th gen but ended up getting a 350z lol. Might buy an 8th gen soon because I’ve driven a few and I love them.
As a X Gen Si owner, I can honestly say that it’s a ton of fun. My previous car was a Civic Ex Coupe and that was already fun. My only gripe with the X gen is the lack of VTEC. I love my car, but I miss VTEC for sure. I’m currently waiting to see if the 11 gen Si has VTEC and turbo. If it does, I’ll probably be trading in my X gen. Otherwise I might try for the Type R or just send it on mods
Facts. only thing making me want to ever ditch the car is the oil dilution issue with the 1.5T, but if the 11 gen had vtec and a turbo, i’d probably have to trade in. Otherwise planning on running it into the ground. Don’t think i could have picked a better car
Do one on the Honda Accord and talk about the V6! I own one and wanted it so bad! I’ve driven many Honda’s and the 3.5L V6 engine in this car is insane. Everyone that gets in leaves with a smile on their face! I’ve pulled on Si’s and even focus ST’s! It’s a blast and is so good at handling even the tightest of turns! Big plans for it in the future!
They are a great platform, and you can run them to ground and wont break down! My RSX (same platform) has 196k Miles and is still running strong on the original motor! I'm also going to Dyno tune her within a month or so!

I own a 6th gen fastback (I believe they don't exist in the US) with a cute little 1.4l SOHC engine. Revving it on my way to and from work is one of the greatest joys in my life. These cars are the perfect beginner enthusiasts' car: they are sporty(-ish), cheap, reliable, easy to service and modify, and aftermarket support is big, even here in the EU. My dad has owned only honda civics ever since the first model came out, I was raised in the back of his 6th gen he bought off the lot and it became my first car, since then Ive had a few cars including an STI and its still with me. the 10th gen was when he knew they werent the same car and for the first time since 1974 he bought a different car.. a subaru. after he experience my STI. good times.
THEY DID MY CAR LETS GOOOO
I’ve never clicked so fast
Congrats bro
Lol same here
SAME HERE
Alex forgot to mention the B18C1 Engine with b series tuning options and the k20 and k24 engines swap that can be done those k series civics are fast turbocharged and can make around 200hp with a stock k24 I drive a 99 eclipse so civic in the car community are like my brother from another mother I just done like ricers that make us look bad because they dont do there research on their car
Almost a prelude, but not quite, let’s get that “do you want a prelude” going !!!
Preludes get no love!
Jacob S one day Jacob, one day
6:42 Jokes on you, I’m doing my calc 2 homework 😤
Thoughts and prayers.
Yo I have a calc test on thursday help me study
Take differential equations online.
Bro sameeee
yoo calc 2 is a bitch, I'm taking it rn also
Used to own a 99 SI EM1 and it was a killer experience.
8th gen si is the best civic . Used to have 1 but now I have a G37
I still miss it
Should have got a G35 instead. First Gen way better looking. 😂
David S uglyass sentra headlights fuck noo
I feel the opposite. I didnt have a SI but I went from a 8th gen civic to g37. And I'm glad I did. No more slow ass fwd cars for me
@LAN Evo nah, stock with 330hp. You are watching a video about a car that comes with barely 200hp. A G makes a Si look and feel like a smart car. Fuck honda finally made a somewhat quick car (type r) and it's as pretty much equal with a g37 in terms of 1/4 mile
@@WiscoMTB37 Should have Kraftwerk supercharged or Turbo'ed the 8th gen. They smoke a g37
Civic Si in 4 words: please don’t rice it
Midnight Club Still Cancelled Soz the legend
Edit: Too Late
Gday
lemme guess, Type R in 4 words: oops, factory already did
Stock all day
I got a 93 Si Hatch and it’s amazing honestly. The d series doesn’t put out a lot of power but you don’t need power to take corners at 60 and not have to worry about it. Needless to say, It’s a blast to drive.
Watching this while sitting in my 8th gen SI
Literally even a non-vtec civic puts a smile on my face. They are such great cars to drive! If you hate Civics, you haven’t driven one (or driven it long enough).
I’m just glad the 8th gen was the thumbnail. The last of the REAL civics.
2 EF hatches, 2 EF sedans, and a 2011 FG2. They were all fun.
8th gen is overall best rounded Si. Classic Honda feel, newer body but can be stanced or full race car. Fun to drive and can make a lot of power stock. I make just over 500whp onna stock block and trans.
I have a 2007 Si Coupe. I love this car. it is so fun to drive.
New one already and it feels so good and powerful love it
I have a 9th gen, pretty great daily, I’m sure with some mods it could be infinitely more fun but mine is stock
Hondata flashpro, Skunk2 cold air intake, rbc intake manifold swap and a down pipe and some coilovers or springs and shocks will make it fun as hell
@@THEGOAT-hg8nu are those mods in order?
@@huy56 yes
Get an 8th gen if you want fun 🔥
Same bruh. Just got mine last week
Had a 07 civic si silver coupe for my first car ...was the best car for real
8th gen def one of the best Si, FD2 conversion all day
I own a 6th gen, and with a few seat covers, and a good cleaning, the interior looks timeless. And stock the car is still a blast to drive. The only regret i have about it is that it isnt a manual
I literally just bought my 08 si a couple of hours ago, I love it!!!
you still have it? or no
Any mods so far?
@@vithursan.b at least another 100 WHP in stickers
I always kept on forgetting that the Honda Civic at least the 7th or 8th generations were on my mind of owning as my first car. I mean the first car I drive is a '03 Toyota Camry but I am still under my parent's car insurance because I'm 19 and still relatively new on the road. But when I have my own car and insurance, well that's hopefully if I get out of my parents house sooner or later.
the em1 civic si was one of my favorite cars growing up
Such a great and reliable platform to track, I cry Everytime I see an Si ruined with hella camber and hella stretch tires, do that to a base model.
Just bought my first set of wheels an hour ago from you guys! Also just started my Chanel and can’t wait to start up! Thanks so much guys! Also I drive a stanced 2017 Honda Civic sport hatch! Keep up with the build!
+1 subscribers
Don't forget to add it to the gallery when you throw the new wheels on!🤠
Noiceeeee mannn
I got a 2012 Si as my first car, I love it more and more every day!
So many of my homies have Si’s the 8th gen would probably be the one I’d want
ABC Garage I love my 8th gen, it found the balance of Honda+modern and it’s a great DD
I have an 8th gen, I love it, def go with the 8th gen
@@brycekono6956 is a 8th gen with 186k miles for 7,995 $ with it?
@Roberto Magallanes it’s got way too many miles for that price, you can get one with much lower miles for that price if you keep hunting… prices also vary where you live
@@faseehirfan6028 ohh ok thank you
Had a 2006 Civic Si for 8 years, loved it; now I have a 2005 s2000, Love it too, but also miss my civic.
B series for the win!!! Also, K motors are fun as well.... 6th and 8th gen are my favorites.
Yes sir. I kick myself for not having the extra 1800$ for the 99 si back in 2007. I got the 97 ex coupe instead. I did personally drive that bastard for 210,000 thousand miles though. It had 289,000 when i sold it 7 years later.
Love my 8th gen can’t go wrong with a Civic Si
Love my 8th Gen Si FG2 Coupe fun af to drive. Driven many MT cars the Si is one of the best out there.
17 Honda Civic si sedan owner here.
And it’s honestly one of the best cars I have ever driven.
3 1/2 years with my 9th gen Si. Its been highly reliable and a blast to drive everyday. The stiff ride takes some getting used to though, especially with the 💩 roads here in Texas.
Just bought an 8th Gen Si, one owner, 35k miles
Arguably the most hated on car in the car community, but my modified 8th Gen civic will always make me smile, and the look you get after beating BMWs on the highway will never get old..
nah 8th gen sedans are beautiful.
I have a 08 daily civic looks stock and has direct port zex nitrous kit and 3 car seats in the back 👍 love that car
Y’all actually finally did the si 😃 ngl I was waiting for this one
Back in the day JDM was so good and it was at it's peak with car manufacturers making the best cars out their. Now it's went down the drain and every car brand has lost what was precious to them but Honda till this day hasn't lost what made it so special. It started at the bottom but rose up to be extremely good
The K20 in my 8th gen is amazing , it’s so much fun I love it , it has never broken down 😍
I still saw many Honda Civic SI specially 6th Gen in my country Dominican Republic and I really feel joy each time I see one of them, Honda really managed to make good cars that resist the test of time 😎😎🔥🔥🔥
I Always look forward to this series. Nothing but quality content from you guys. Still looking for a "So you want a Corvette" video though.
Had an 8th gen sedan and now I have a 9th gen coupe and they’re both fun in their own ways.
Finally you’re representing senting civic clan. One of the biggest car clans in the universe
I had an 06 si and honestly I wish I didn’t crash it, it’s been my favorite car and I can’t wait till I buy another one at one point, it’s was really comfortable interior was and had a good look to it
I’m glad you guys did this video, I love my 10th gen si coupe!
Former EG6,FA5 owner here i gotta say if i went back and had other options when i got those cars i would still get em again. He hit just right might bot be the power bangin monster you get nowadays (unless you heavily modify) but its an OG been makin impressive appearances longer than ive been born .
In my opinion the best and last true Si was the 8th gen 06-11. I had one until it was totalled and I miss that car everyday
I was a salesman at honda for a bit and even in today's market, people still bought brand new SI's. Even with markup, people really love these cars. Fun to drive
I have respect for the Civic SI... I've seen them all my life. And also they're a distant relative to my RSX
I always thought of rsx / dc5s as my car cousin too based on both of us sharing the K Series
comin from a fg4 si
Rsx are the bottom lickers for the kseries family
I love the si so much I just hate that once you put an exhaust on it or do anything to it it’s automatically riced out. I can respect a clean build but when you tell someone you own a Honda Civic Si i feel like the general consensus is people won’t take you seriously in the car community.
It's not riced out lol
As much as I love my IS300, I really miss my Vivid Blue Pearl ‘02 EP3. Super fun to drive and no one else in my area had one. Good times.
9th gen turbo’d is where it’s at
Man I love my Black 2010 Si Coupe. It aint fast but its stupidly fun.
I bought one today, black 2009 Si coupe, my first car ever! I'm so hyped!
I own a 2013 civic si. Bought it new. It still puts a smile on my face.
EM1 best si of all time🔥
Aleksandr Kisslove I agree. 8th gen right next to it
@@ZFA1738 I'm a little biased to my 8th gen 😌
Lol I just picked up a b16 block the other week for my 5th gen
i got a 2000 with factory ebp paint and a b18c5 swap.
Francis D. I’ve owned two integras, a prelude, and a 10th gen si. Always wanted an 8th gen but ended up getting a 350z lol. Might buy an 8th gen soon because I’ve driven a few and I love them.
Civic SI is a great car but my all time fave is the 91 Prelude SR.
Small, lightweight, and handled great.
Julian Borja does type r have vtec??
Nick Tank yessir VTEC and Turbo
Facts. only thing making me want to ever ditch the car is the oil dilution issue with the 1.5T, but if the 11 gen had vtec and a turbo, i’d probably have to trade in. Otherwise planning on running it into the ground. Don’t think i could have picked a better car
But u got a turbo. Vtec vs turbo. Yea turbo.
8th gen is the best gen. It is the last of the true si, small high revving engine. They're great stock and even better modified.
1:02 never change that intro beat 😩 that’s hard
I have a 07 Si and it always puts a smile on my face ! Love my car
Finally the Civic SI gets some love! Tenth Gen all the way!!!
Preach Brother !
HOLYYYYY SHITTTT i was literally doing precal HW when he said to drop it. Clearly he can see the future....
They are a great platform, and you can run them to ground and wont break down! My RSX (same platform) has 196k Miles and is still running strong on the original motor! I'm also going to Dyno tune her within a month or so!
I’d say the 8th gen is but the 9th gen si is the best looking one don’t @ me
agreed, i have the 2012 sedan which is like the awkward looking year but I think it still looks better (in my opinion) than the previous gen
@@justinboyd1231 If you want you can add an asian trunk lid to make it look more like the 2013! Add some carbon fiber vinyl on the radio/dash and you're good to go!
K24 Sedan same here 2012 civic si is the base model with the si badge and ivtec sticker. I have the same car at 265whp at the moment fun car
(Even though legality of mods is a concern ... )
do this series on a Honda prelude next!!!
