Working a "normal job" / "day job" is not a scam or even a bad thing (if the job and company are good), but 9-to-5 is tradition that isn't actual the best way to organize people's work lives; the government of Sweden did a study on shorter work days and there has been other research done, too.
I agree that working 8 hours 5 days a week is the worst. Buuuuut in order for me to not work my 9-5 I HAVE to work my 9-5 to save money for investments that will allow me to not work my 9-5 in 15 years. It’s a long term plan. And by investments I mean auto investments with reputable brokerages where I never have to think about it cause my 9-5 just drains all the life out of me. These horrible people take advantage of our burnout which makes us so vulnerable to these scams.
omg queen ur music taste 😍😍 been listening to a lot of kendrick lately too, i’ve been going heavy with female rappers lately like rico nasty and flo milli😁
Most jobs are no longer completely remote, they are hybrid at best. There are a few call centers and test scorer jobs that are remote, but I would only apply if they are a well known company.
The crazy thing about the MLM people, is that the 'lucky few' who actually make money work constantly. A 9 - 5 may keep you from your loved ones, but an MLM forces you to emotionally cannibalize them.
A majority, if not all of the MLMs, usually have you start with friends and family. So as they continue to brainwash you, it really does destroy your personal relationships.
I listen to a lot of different stuff! My favorite groups are MSMR and alt-J. The vibes are perfect. But I also love listening to you while I work (processing legal documents can be so mind-numbing). Also, I feel like we've got a connection because I was born and raised in Kansas! A Kansas girlie who's now a Washington man 😂
I signed up for Pampered Chef, in 2000's. I want to say around 2007/2008. This was way before I realized what an MLM actually was. I was 22 or 23. 😂 Anyway, I got in trouble for posting on Craiglist, trying to promote the business. It's wild looking back at that and now seeing what MLM's do on social media. I only did one "party" tried getting "business" online, got told by Pampered Chef I couldn't do that, and stopped, all within a month. 😂
I've got a business (restaurant) and get business related articles on my news feed. Sometimes it's lists of locals going out of business and the amount of 'business coaching and advice' is increasing. There are more businesses trying to sell advice to legitimate businesses than actual entrepreneurs. I get regular phonecalls from these and other scammers. It's so annoying, i'm working from 7am untill 10pm 5 days and half the day on my 'weekend' and they're only preying on other people's work hoping they'll get a cut for a few hours a week of pestering you and other businesses.
The best thing that i heard when it comes to people selling courses and all that. I do not remember who said it but it was "those who scream they are rich and are trying to sell you on a expensive course typically are far from it most people who have money do not need to sell the course and most the time they also say they do this to help where if you look online you can find all the info online for free and that is the same info they are giving you just for an actual price tag"
Half the time on job searches, the MLMs hide their company name too. It's one thing that put me off of Primerica. Just be honest people so what if no one wants to work with you! I also hate how those companies do put those who work 9-5 down. I used to work in HR and who I worked for was not a crappy employer whatsoever (a rarity). I loved it so much.
I work at legit company and the sales ppl are commission only but I think they get a year base salary until they can sink or swim on commissions- so they do exist.
I spent a solid 5 minutes thinking the Arbonne family said "of course all our friends ask for *FISH STICKS* when they come over" and I was confused at a MLM selling all that AND fish sticks?? but then you casually said it like it wasn't out of place whatsoever and I had to look it up and......"fizz" ......not 🐟😭😭😭 CLOSE ENOUGH!
What really sucks about this is the fact there are people commenting, "How", "Interested", "Show me" or whatever they want them to comment. What is even sadder is the fact there are people who want to believe so badly they are willing to waste time and money.
I've been in an adhd fixation spiral on the whole kdot/bbl drizzy fued & came here in an attempt to get out of that rabbit hole. Then I saw your playlist 😂 I cannot escape. Not like us is perpetually stuck in my head 😭
Yes, please do a LinkedIn video. I used to get so many MLM messages. And everytime, I would lecture them about the statistics of MLMs. Now I'm getting messages about using my art for NFTs, which I always say no to. If I wanted my art to be NFTs, I would have.
It's interesting how the argument is "people just don't understand" when people warn others about their scams, but they also insist that whatever schemes they're on this week will benefit anyone as long as you try
PLEASE do that linkedin video! As a recent grad there’s so many scams on there that prey on desperate and or inexperienced people. I was reached out to a company that turns out I didn’t apply for for an interview. They did it over text impersonating an actual recruiter from there and wanted me to purchase equipment from this site for reimbursement at the end of the interview. Was so disheartening thinking I finally got an interview and a job only for it to be a time waste and a scam
a LinkedIn scam vid would be fascinating. I've always been a job hopper and never really used LinkedIn like a social network. I'd be interested to see how it looks to someone who does and how to avoid common pitfalls on the site.
I remember getting messaged to do an IM interview. It was a huge red flag. They proceeded to ask for things like my SSN and other sensitive info. I told them that they do not need any of that. I left the "interview".
I’m so glad you are talking about arbonne this reps are taking over the book community. I find it so annoying there is not even a space where we can share love for books to be free of MLM nop now they are here🙄
There’s a woman I know that works at target, and she got herself into Amway… she’s older and I feel so bad. I have been knowledgeable on MLM’s and what have you for awhile just from UA-cam, but holy cow to see it in “real life” is sooooo bizarre and sad. Of course she joined after losing her job. 😢
Yes. Would love to you to deep dive into the scammy indeed world. My first time I was looking for a full time job - ended up being cutco knives and they were advertising under a different business name. When I got there it was a group interview and thats when I found out who it really was. If it was me today I would’ve gotten up and left; then I was a young kid and didn’t want to. But obviously didn’t take the job. But yeah… This was over a decade ago too. I KNOW it is a LOT worse now 🙃
would love a LinkedIn video! it is so hard to try to find a work from home position that isn't sketchy in *some* capacity, i would personally rlly appreciate some tips on how to determine a scam position vs a legit WFH position
Would love a LinkedIn video. I would also love to see more people talk about travel MLMs. I had one of those “interviews” while looking for a job after being on furlough during the first 7 months or so of the pandemic. I didn’t finish the whole thing, but it was pretty obvious that it was a scam. However, people in different situations are more vulnerable to this.
I'm an instructional designer and have been designing and delivering courses for over 25 years. The problem with most of these people selling courses is that they don't actually know how to design an effective course. Information isn't inherently valuable. It's only valuable if you can effectively deliver it in a way that achieves retention and results in real skill building, which 99.9% of these courses don't do. There are courses that are not designed by accredited schools that are worth buying, but most of these people aren't the ones designing them. If you're going to invest in a course, it should be designed with actual learning methodologies, with clear goals and objectives, opportunities to apply your new knowledge, and ways to evaluate your progress and learning retention.
Hello! Teacher here that teaches assistive technology and seem to be certified in it, I think people would rather trust me when it comes to teaching technology then just some person on the Internet that is selling a class to cheek to teach them how to do the same thing. I mean soon to be certified.
So many ppl fall for these scams because of the desperation of working from home and quick money. I’ve seen friends on Facebook trying to recruit for these jobs and sell BS. They are preying on ppl. Unfortunately a lot of ppl will fall for these scams.
I do marketing and PR for authors, I wanted to branch out into beta editing, I tried LinkedIn and even in the categories I was looking in, it was 95% scam accounts or MLM…. It was so irritating…. Yes, please deep dive
I would love to see the LinkedIn video. A former boss of mine has discussed in detail the problematic issues and his concerns regarding LinkedIn. I find it very interesting.
YES! There ARE a lot of excellent courses out there, but the market is SO over saturated that it makes everyone look like they have the same credentials, but they don’t. I work with business coaches for my niche and often share their content on my socials, and the way these content creators are taking over the market is so frustrating.

0:23 omg i had no idea, but i could definitely see that. i like rap too, you pass the vibe check
I listen to a lot of different stuff! My favorite groups are MSMR and alt-J. The vibes are perfect. But I also love listening to you while I work (processing legal documents can be so mind-numbing).
Also, I feel like we've got a connection because I was born and raised in Kansas! A Kansas girlie who's now a Washington man 😂
i would really love a LinkedIn video! i am fresh out of highschool and i want to know what to avoid when looking for jobs online.
The secondhand embarrassment I get for "Boss Babes" is ridiculous 😬
I want to watch a series of LinkedIn videos; you listed all those scams and I only knew about the MLMs!
I’m a country girl 😂 Also a long time lurker, I’ve been binging your videos!! Love your content 🫶🏻
I love it 😂💕 I can get down with country too!!! Thank you so much
I would love to hear about linked in!
There's MLM's that target HS graduates 🤪😬
When I was 15 some creep tried to use the line "But I'm not a pedo though." to attempt creepy things. Yeeeeah did not believe him..
Yessss do the video about how scammy Linked In is!!
5th Like I love your videos and personality! I think your awesome and so funny keep it up!
Thank you so so much
I feel like you would really enjoy the artist Ktlyn - her song BIG MAD is a BOP
Thanks for calling out those scammers, Isabella! 😊
The way I got a digital business opportunity ad before this video 👌
I remember unknowingly replying to a Primerica "job opportunity" many years ago.
YESSS PLEASE "LINKEDN"
I work at legit company and the sales ppl are commission only but I think they get a year base salary until they can sink or swim on commissions- so they do exist.
15:11 “working 2-4hrs a day” and they call it PASSIVE income lol
been listening to my two faves, vinyl theatre and twenty one pilots so much lately
I just discovered your page and I've been BINGE watching your videos. I love what you do, keep it up girl!
Not like us is perpetually stuck in my head 😭
yess Not Like Us has been on repeat so has OK by JT
Re: music- Drum n Bass and Trap sound like they might be a fun pivot for you. Give electronic music a chance 😎🔥
Yes! Please do a deep dive it the job scams on LinkedIn.
Lol I play the harp so naturally I love classical music. But I loved rap growing up too, now I listen to metal/rock more often!!
4:11 Arbonne Mom got some crazy eyes all of a sudden, looks like she has some deep anger about the pyramid scheme.
I remember getting messaged to do an IM interview. It was a huge red flag. They proceeded to ask for things like my SSN and other sensitive info. I told them that they do not need any of that. I left the "interview".
I’m so glad you are talking about arbonne this reps are taking over the book community. I find it so annoying there is not even a space where we can share love for books to be free of MLM nop now they are here🙄
The best is when I come across something so mlm/scammy heavy I’m like this has to be satire and I’m like ohhhh noooo it’s serious
Bardcore is where its at, Bella
There’s a woman I know that works at target, and she got herself into Amway… she’s older and I feel so bad. I have been knowledgeable on MLM’s and what have you for awhile just from UA-cam, but holy cow to see it in “real life” is sooooo bizarre and sad. Of course she joined after losing her job. 😢
would love that linkedin video fr! im new to ur content and happily thru a 24hr binge on ur channel, loving it
Yes please for the Linked In deep dive!!❤
I KNOW it is a LOT worse now 🙃
Please do a video about fake job listings and boards, LinkedIn scams and all that !!
would love a LinkedIn video! it is so hard to try to find a work from home position that isn't sketchy in *some* capacity, i would personally rlly appreciate some tips on how to determine a scam position vs a legit WFH position
This just happened to me it’s all over indeed. “Marketing agencies or consulting agencies” I get an interview finally then I find out what they do😣😣
I'm currently looking for a 2nd job & didn't know they were taking over LinkedIn too 🤦🏾♀️ Thanks for the heads up 👍🏾
9:14 girl the LinkedIn influencers are crazy
A lot of 9-5 are awful but at least you get paid.
After a long day of University I love to watch your videos, they somehow call me
that last girls course being worth a little less than half my rent is actually crazy
Yes! Please make a video on LinkedIn scams!
I would love to see a LinkedIn video ❤
0:5 death metal and mareux’s perfect girl retro wave perfect girl instrumental
I’m so sick of hearing the 9-5 BS!! So annoying that people are still choosing these MLMs. ☹️
