as someone who worked in fine jewelry for decades and spent money to learn from GIA I HATE this stuff. Pearls are beautiful, I have a stand of gorgeous black (more gunmetal lavendar) I hand picked that are freshwater from the 90's that were from a sustainable farm. I spit out my drink the first time I stumbled on this when they showed a 'natural' turquoise pearl. No such beastie, and if you want an orange pearl that would be from a Melo Pearl, which if from a snail, not an oyster, and is rare AF. That oyster shown there will NEVER produce those colours. I swear I love jewelry, gems, and the beauty of it, I just hate the dishonesty
Thank you for this “pearl of wisdom” sorry I had to insert a dad joke 😅☺️ But no really, that’s really good to know ❤ From what I saw in the video, the pearls are very artificially dyed after it’s shucked.
Big time jewel companies have been spreading dishonesty from the beginning. The price of some gems is highly disproportionate to their actual rarity and demand. Artificial Scarcity is real.
The thought of someone setting out their equipment, psyching themself up to go live then putting on a performance of opening rancid oysters with forced enthusiam and getting no views is so depressing
so, according to their website, their pearls come from akoya oysters. akoya pearls are cultivated. they put a bead inside the oyster and the oyster forms a pearl around it, essentially. apparently only 5% of these pearls are considered “high quality”. perhaps they are buying and selling the rejects and that’s why they’re cheap? not sure how they would be coloring them though, because akoya pearls do not come in those vibrant shades. other pearls can, though. a pearl with color isn’t necessarily fake or even dyed- but there’s definitely are dyed. maybe all of these are fake, but damn…that’s insane false advertising.
Last year I became fixated on this and watched a reupload of a livestream, she kept describing it as them being “rinsed with a solution” as they formed which altered the colour, and insisting they weren’t dyed. Which, like, surely using chemicals to artificially alter the colour is essentially the same thing no matter what process you use, but I guess they’re told to push it being “natural colour” bc it sounds cool or whatever. Obviously it could all be lies, I don’t know, but it’s what they say.
@@RubyBlueUwU 😂 haha that’s too funny. A dye is a solution and to dye something means to change its colour either naturally or artificially. What a scam
I think I would have an issue with this product even if it wasn’t a MLM because it can become a gambling issue. I’ve known plenty of older people who have gambled money away to scams like these and it’s so sad. My grandma was a compulsive shopper she would sit in front of TV ordering from those weird shows that comes on at 3 am. When she died her house was filled with boxes she never opened
I remember my grandparents would buy everything from door to door sales people from expensive mops to the Schwann man. 😢 I recently learned that it caused a lot of hardship for them. ❤
Same exact thing happened to my mom. I'm STILL going through boxes of this crap since she passed. I fussed at her about it as soon as I realized what was happening, but I couldn't stop her.
My mom died almost a year ago, and about 7 years ago, she fell into the abyss of these bullshit pearl parties. I'm still sorting through her things in the house and in her storage unit and I get so mad when I come across this bullshit. I have no idea how to unload it other than chucking it into the trash but she dumped soooo much money into buying from these "shuckers" that I get enraged all over again because it was money she didn't have in tje first place.
Its really upsetting to find out someone you care about has fallen into a trap like that and wasted money in an attempt to feel better. I had a similar thing with my dad where he started spending money on psychic readings..
@@Lay__Loves maybe you could donate the jewelry to a women’s shelter if it’s something that would be worth doing something like that with. Since it’s money down the drain already, you can turn it into something positive. Sorry for your loss.
I can't imagine having so many oysters in your home. Clothes are one thing, but how do you legitimize having actual perishable product in your house for months or years at a time???
This scam reminds me of what I did to my baby brother when we were kids 😂😅 I would tell him there is a house goblin in the house (domovoj, we were born in Russia) who gave him gifts. The gifts were tiny knickknacks collected mostly off the street wrapped in the world's worst toilet paper. The rule was that if my brother managed to unwrap them without tearing the toilet paper, there would be a gift inside. And if he didn't, the gift would be gone. Luckily for me, if he didn't tear it, I could just say that he did, and he wouldn't know the difference, that toilet paper was truly the worst 😅
The point of the domovoj I think was that my brother must do his chores (and maybe mine sometimes) to take care of the house and the house spirit returns the favor by gifting him magical gifts. My brother was absolutely hooked
They could be fake oysters and fake pearls I got this oyster thing in the mail where you make pearl necklace and it looked real until you got it and it was fake made of plastic. 😂😂
Just the idea of getting shrink wrapped oysters in the mail grosses me out. I just wonder why anyone would find this interesting to start with. There are so many more hobbies that don’t involve shellfish! 😂 The world is your…uhmmmm…oyster.
Some of the consultants keep the extras in a cup all together. Real pearls have to be carefully stored and not in a plastic Dixie cup . That's how they send them home to the poor people that fall for this all together in a tiny little envelope. 🤦♀️💁♀️
From what i know about how these pearls are made and coloured. They put a starter in the oysters when they are alive which are a certain colour to help the right colour come out. That's also how they get doubles. Saw that on a video about a company who make pearls but can harvest them without killing the oyster.
many companies actually do that - there need to be some sort of starter in the oyster for a pearl to form at all, however oftentimes a grain of sand produces an unsellable product due to imperfections. if you start with a proper nucleus you will nearly guaruntee the pearls you want every time, which: •causes less stress on the oysters if youre harvesting ethically •causes fewer oyster deaths if youre not harvesting ethically so i dont think this is necessarily a negative thing. just part of the business
the company that makes actual pearl content makes kamoka pearls i think ? either way the pearls have to be pushed out with tools. they don't just rattle out of a dry ass oyster like in the parties
Sorry if this has been said before, but i'm fairly certain the dyed (fake) pearls are shoved into already dead clams. So even the pearl shucking aspect is more or less fake as well.
If anyone wants to buy almost real pearls that are stunning and don't involve oysters, i'd recommend Majorica pearls! I have a bracelet i got as a kid when i was visiting the factory on a vacation.
I saw a documentary about pearl farms. Oysters are extremely important for the environment and oceanic health. It breaks my heart, knowing how many destructive businesses are out there
I wonder when there will be a class action suit against these companies when distributors get sick from exposure to the formaldehyde preserving the oysters.
At least the jewelry in candles fad actually gave you a decently nice candle.... I got a really pretty ring from one of those and it was like an extra bonus to a nice candle and I didn't even buy it for the jewelry piece.
I just came from your pink zebra video, I wanted to come on and add that I used to "work" for pink zebra and the group or my upline told me if I didn't have the money to buy the starter kit I should use my credit card, borrow money OR sell my stuff. Like why? I was never skeptical of MLM until I started watching videos on anti MLM then I started to see how predatory these companies are! Never again will I work for one. All they do is sell you the dream. I don't like that. It's all lies.
Would be curious to know about those health benefits. Does not say insurance. It might be a goodrx card and a similar free card to get discount at a very limited list of docs and dentists.
it's not very specific with what it is so i was just using that as a broad term. I do think that would be a good idea to offer to people. I'm just nervous if there are requirements to have access to it. Like if you need to be at a specific rank to see these benefits
What if...they design those benefits like a car program. You take out the plan, and oh sure, we'll pay for it, and by that we mean we're not responsible for paying the bill, that's on you, there's a cap, and you only get it by meeting impossible requirements. So good luck with that. Like that?
I feel like ANY company could market the job as "unlimited" earnings Like McDonalds is technically unlimited earnings, as long as you keep working you keep getting money, therefore unlimited
4:34 it's the way that every single pearl on this product page is the exact same one photoshopped in different sizes on the rings... The photos are so fake!
Everytime i watch your videos i am more more grateful i found your channel. I'm a sahm and until i found your channel i had no idea how many Predatory "businesses" are out there. I would have 100% fell for one if it wasnt for you 😂
I read the title as “Pearl Panties” while scrolling and burst out laughing at how dumb I am. So I clicked on your video to check you out and now I’ve subbed.😂
Thanks for covering this, I haven’t seen anyone else talk about this one ❤❤❤ I also ran across another content creator selling nails, but I didn’t realize it was MLM until tonight in her stories.. I’ll try and find it and comment the name so you can look into that and maybe cover it one day as well ❤❤❤
They are actually fresh water oysters/muscles that have been injected with an irritant that they then try to stop from bothering them by building up layers of calcium. The longer it’s left in the shell the bigger the pearl.
I was waiting to hear about a lawsuit for both selling fizz reveal products, so I’m not surprised! (I’m not usually this early, but it was very satisfying to watch your view and like count grow while watching 😁)
I like this video more than the others you made about it because you really dug into the scam part of it. it’s easy to say these are obviously scams from just looking at them, but i had no idea they were promising medical and dental insurance!
Every time I watch a pearl time video by an MLM or anti MLM creator I alsways end up wanting a pearl jewlery of somesort. I am typing with a pear ring on my finger because of your LAST Pearl Time video! I went on etsy and bought it. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking cheep jewlry if it makes you happy. Synthetic BS or not - if you like it, get it, but not from an MLM. My rings are all costume cheep crap, and I adore them. I wear them every day and they make me happy to see that pop of color sitting there. However, the MLM Jewlery industry is insane and I would NEVER. It usually takes me a week to decide on a $10 ring and then I cry with joy once I wear it. So, yeah, no more overpriced cheep crap. Just buy it cheep.
HI Isabella!! I LOVE your content! especially how there were so many times I thought of joining BP or one of these lifestyle MLMs for extra income and your deep dive videos helped me so much and probably also saved me from making a HUGE mistake! You are awesome 🤩
Yaaaay I love finding new channels like yours. I live for the drama videos but some drama these days is way too intense and depressing! Love your set by the way, so cute :) New sub!
If they don't have a platform then who will they be selling to? Marketing is about reaching as many people as possible, so for them to say you don't need a big platform either is a big red flag.
So I think the reason for the non-compete clause is that some people will join one mlm and form this absolutely massive team and downline. So when they hop to another MLM they'll take all of those people with them.
As a little nerd like i am, i instantly didnt believe those were fully natrual pearls from the get go, no natrually formed pearl will be those colors without DYE. But the worst sight for me was when they shucked the oyster....AND THERE WAS NO OYSTER INSIDE JUST THE PEARL....do they really think they pearl is just in there? or everyone who take part of it just know its all fake????
I thought they are legally required to have income disclosure statements? it was like a whole thing and a lawsuit with some big MLM and then all of them had to do it?
I'm a bit confused... You said these were pearls? why are they rolling around? Those look like beads... there are some great pearl plastic beads out there. There is a TOY where you can shuck toy oysters to find a pear bead. That is what this MLM makes me think of. Has anyone gotten one of these items and had them tested to see if they are real I'm wondering. did they put a fake pearl in an oyster to 'grow' . real silver fake pearls. Or find that they are less valuable than stated?
Everytime I see videos like (the tik token ones) this im reminded the necklaces from years ago that came with 12 of these with a necklace and you could change out the colors to match the months.
Good reporting on this MLM. I’m not a fan of MLMs in general. Just to give a little information, in the about us section on the Pearl company website, they state that their pearls are freshwater pearls. Freshwater pearls are more than abundant. The state of TN had or may still have some large freshwater Pearl farms. Freshwater pearls are very inexpensive, they can be dyed to be any color, most are probably dyed. They also state that their jewelry is in .925 silver. People should definitely do their research before jumping into any business venture.
Ya'll being kind, 😂😂😂😂, maybe it's the fact I grew up Vegan(Vegetarian mostly now, transitioning back), the first time I saw one of those Pearl shucking... (sp?) I was so creeped out!!! No cap... oh, I just sat there holding my phone staring at it... partly because the lady doing it... she seemed like she was having WAY too much fun with it... idk, it freaked out, 😂😂😂😂. When you sign up, they'll send you to the marketplace, lol. The reason I say that is, obviously partly sarcasm, and part is not. When I managed two mental health group homes and was salary(don't get me started on salary pay, I feel as passionate about what the majority of companies do to their salary workers as the anti-MLM community) I had to opt out of their insurance, because it was AWFUL. It was the most basic, awful, overpriced insurance. Over HALF of one of my checks would go to this horrible insurance. HUGE deductibles, low payouts, strict "in network" Dr.s and clinics... it was BAD. So, when I opted out, I then had to go on marketplace and purchase my own health insurance, after filling out a bunch of paperwork showing WHY I was opting out, luckily I had worked at United Healthcare so it was easier for me to maneuver around, the private insurance industry is literally a labyrinth asking you to pick one of two doors in front of you and both go straight down to a dark dungeon where you'll die before you can afford to see a Dr. The insurance I got off marketplace was actually really good insurance. I have A LOT of health issues, like.. a lot, a lot. I'm in my 30's and feel 1,000 years old sometimes, so I literally could not afford to not have insurance, and marketplace straight out saved me from dealing with that god awful company my employer used. I think my premium was like... $160 or so a month, my copays were low, and I didn't have a deductible(probably because the ridiculously low salary I was walking into blindfolded like an idiot... because... hard work!, work ethics!, believe in yoursel... yeah wtfever, I worked for a for-profit small company where the owner would roll into the office randomly on days I was there to do paperwork, showing off his latest sports car, or Range Rover, or showing off videos of lavish trips he goes on. Meanwhile, the starting salary at the most difficult house in the company, because it's like a transitional halfway house kinda thing, lotta addicts, theft, violence. I'd know, because of my background they flipped me to that house before I got up to management... the starting wage for that house, was $13 f&n dollars an hour, IN 2018!!! I made a little more because of education and experience, but fk me... not THAT much more!), and it covered several full on hospital stays. One was like a week, and the other was like a little over a week? I dont recall, but needless to say, it got taken care of and I didn't pay $100,000+ out of pocket. So, anyway, my guess is this company will transfer "employees(hahahaa, sry... hahaha)" to some BS made up "healthcare department" and it will have jusr somebody, we will call said somdbofy Jim, and Jim is going to explain all these details of different plans(Jim will avoid actusl numbers like the plague, you'll hear: "Well, it depends" A LOT, just to try and sidestep any actual dollar amount disclosures), and Jim will have ZERO affiliation with the ACTUAL insurance company, Jim is just there to: "answer any questions you might have(except if it involves money, lol), and if one of your questions can't be answered by the limited information about the insurance, that Jim, your personal Imsurance Information Tech has in front of him, which usually you could Google the same info. So, Jim will apologize profusely that he doesn't have the answer, but no worries!Jim will quickly transfer you, and it will go to one of these HIGH deductible, HIGH copay, HIGH premium(pretty high, anyone feeling it yet? Lol), VERY limited In-Network coverage, private insurance companies. Now, if the "employee" is lucky, "Pearls R Us" or whatever the company, will have negotiated at least a discounted rate through a contract waiver, United Healthcare does these a lot with state and Federal subsidized healthcare(insert marketplace, but, that is just one example) the issue with this unfortunately is they don't really have any incentive to bother negotiating these types of contracts with Shucks R Us, because they aren't getting the guarantees on returns the government can provide, usually with these types of things there's a reimbursement through Medicaid if Like UHC gets stuck with some bill, and because the contract is quite literally with the government ultimately they pick up the tab... these for profit insurance companies get ZERO of those incentives(I'm just putting my neck on the chopping block and going with the zero incentives, because there IS NO ACTUAL CONTRACF WITH THE SHICKA LUCKA! THE ONKY REASON THEY EVEN PUT THAT ON THEIR WEBSITE IS SO SKEPTICS GO: "OH MY, HEALTH BENEFITS? MLMs DON'T OFFER BENEFITS..." No, they don't, and neither does this one, not in the true sense) So, although it might seem like friendly 'ol Jim directef you here, with family plans LITERALLY in the thousands, it's all just scams, from the "health & dental benefits", to the clams. P.s. I obviously understand the healthcare and insurance world is complex and what I wrote just scratches the surface. But, what I wrote is still accurate. I used UHC because it's where I worked, and it's where my now secondary insurance/medicaid is subsidized through(my health finally got to be too much and I had to go onto disability, I have lived on my own and worked since I was 16, worked since 14, so this was a hard hit for me. Blah, blah poor me, I'm just saying I do understand insurance, including even more about Medicare now! Lol). If we're being honest and there's ANYTHING in writing between Shuck n Luck and whatever private insurance they send you off to without a hope, good vibes, a prayer or even a shot of whisky... it's not going to be UHC likely... they just aren't a big enough company. And too high risk, but, in my personal opinion, after Joe- anything insurance related is now just between you and other said private insurance company. I could go on n on and talk about when you get to the big boy waivers and contracts the insurance company straight makes a deal with your Drs or clinics or hosoitals to lower their fees, and sooooo many other things my nerdy ass may find fascinating, but the bottom line is, any MLM out here shucking "Health Benifits" is just straight bullsh!tery!
Seven or eight years ago, I used to be obsessed with an independent company that did pearl livestreams on Facebook. They were honest about where the pearls came from, though. It was kind of addictive because it was cool to get a "rare" color. I spent hundreds of dollars on it and now wear none of pearls lol.
I just found your channel in my recommended videos while I was watching one of my TOP 3 favourite gals on UA-cam who also happens to do a lot of ANTI MLM content & her channel name is: *KIKI CHANEL* although I’m sure you’ve already heard of her. She hasn’t done one on this one yet so NOW I’m really excited to watch this video & more! From your new sub in Canada 🇨🇦 Nancy 🥰
I find it real interesting that under health benefits, health insurance isn't listed only telemed. So they only get telemed vision and dental is what it seems.
From what i was told by lucky shuckers ( another pearl company) the sand that they're kept in is multicolored, that is how the pearls end up colorful. Idk how true that is 😂 but that's what they say.
Though I do no agree with it really, this is very common in any sales environment, I worked as recruitment consultant for years, before that business consultancy, and you sign non competition agreements all the time, so you can't take clients from one company to another, its very common, but it has to be same industry so I went from automotive recruitment to IT that would be fine, but I couldn't go into automotive anywhere else for 3-6 months depending on the company agreement
I did a pearl party LIVE on UA-cam last week. It was just for fun, nothing for sale, people won the pearls, a pearl cage, and one of my merch stickers, and had a fun time. Have no interest in the scam aspect. Just in it for the entertainment aspect. The subs loved it so much I'm doing another one in a few weeks. And still, it's just for fun. I been duped into other MLM's and ended up never making any money, if anything, I was out a lot of money.
is this MLM similar like BP Party ? (I dont know the exact name) but they keep popping up in my tiktok lives revealing jewelry and supposedly some can reveal diamonds??? And they claim to be genuine stones?? Very sketchy, also I cannot imagine having to buy that many oysters???
when i went on family holiday to Portugal (lived in europe) me and my mom got real pearls from this small local stall at a market for only several euro, even bracelets. they were all locally sourced and everything, i’m like pretty sure they are legit. (pls correct me otherwise) but yeah these things are “pearl parties” are such scams
From what I read about the pearls they die them to cover the imperfections in them I don't see how this is not considered gambling in that you pay money for the games and you can end up with nothing .
These are real pearls (low quality and advertised as salt water when usually they’re fresh water) processed at a pearl processing factory overseas, color-treated / dyed and often off round. They are then inserted into a long dead Akoya pearl oyster.
I honestly have a hard time understanding how people don't know these are scams immediately upon seeing them. Just a tiniest amount of critical thinking is all it takes.
One of my neighbors does that one and keeps sending me invites to live Facebook events. I keep telling her that I can't wear jewelry unless it's stainless steel, but she keeps trying. I have allergy to metals
The easiest way to know the difference between a real pearl and fake one is to scratch it against your teeth, the fake pearls (plastic+ paint) will get marks and real ones wont Also lab grown pearls look more "perfect and uniform" compared to "natural ones" which are uneven Aesthetically lab ones look more elegant because they all look the same and natural ones will have "flaws"
I'll tell you the biggest red flag --in nature, every oyster does not contain a pearl (not to mention colored pearls, which are obviously dyed), in fact it is pretty rare that they do, hence the high value of pearls on the market... So, in order words, they buy a bunch of [hopefully] dead oysters from somewhere, open them up, then cram in a fake pearl -- are the pearls from these oysters even under a thin film of oyster "skin", as in nature...? Something tells me they are just loose in the shells... P.S. I'm going to guess that you're from Canada...? I can tell because Canadians pronounce woman and women the same... Not important, just wondering if my hypothesis is correct...
Same goes for the fake metal detector treasure hunting vidoes. There was an elderly couple that got arrested becaise they were using metal detector on private land. They thought the yt videos were real so they did it.
The noncompete is hilarious. I'm not sure what American laws are like but Canadian laws in at least some provinces doesn't allow them, and having them actually enforced can be difficult.
I can't believe people fall for this junk. When I see something like this I immediately think it's ridiculous because there's no way to prove if it's real pearls/jewelry (actual REAL PEARLS not fakes or completely flawed pearls and the jewelry is all fake, in other words not even real gold or real gems that would actually last) why people like this crap makes no sense and it's as bad as if you go gamble all your money away. We work WAY too hard for our money so why take a chance and ESPECIALLY when it's a 99% all fake stuff and nothing with real or worth anything.....whatever money you spend it will ALWAYS COST YOU MORE than whatever they "find" or that you get......ALWAYS! It's probably more like 100% all fakes but I'm not sure so I'll give them 1% chance just in case there's a slim, albeit VERY SLIM, chance you get or "win" something actually worth anything. Don't fall for this scheme. Save your money up and go to an actual jewelry store that can be proven as real gems and settings or get a payment program that these stores offer everyone. At least then you know you have something of substance and you're not being ripped off by spending $19.95 or more on a product that you can purchase $10-$15 for the EXACT SAME cheap item on Amazon that will, FOR SURE, tarnish within a few months, if not days. BE AWARE......there are scammers EVERYWHERE so keep your hard earned money out of their bank accounts. This is just all IMO. (FYI: IF you feel the need to reply &/or send me a message PLEASE make peace with the fact that I won't read or even see it. I just don't like doing the whole back & forth debate thing & what I really just want to do is watch more YT videos & since mean spirited/nasty comments have effected me in the past I came to the conclusion that this is what's best for ME which is to not read any of them since there's really no way of discerning between a negative or a positive without actually reading them. So to keep my head space happy this is the best way for me to do that, plus adding this statement saves people from wasting their time responding back too. TY so much for understanding).✌💕
This is a rehash of Vantel Pearls, another pearl party MLM. Cultured freshwater peals, which is what these are, are worth between nothing and 50 cents depending on diameter. You're better off just getting some Swarovski Crystal Pearls and making nicer jewelry.
so ... i admit i clicked this vid cause i was curious what a pearl party was... i understood what was said and i know what a mlm is, from back in the day it beeing called a pyramide scheme. but i have to admit, i still got no clue what a pearl party is? you just sitting opening ekspensive oysters online live, and hope to find a pears thats worth somthing? id rather take my chance bying a lottery tickeet, and its a lot faster as well.
I have watched the pearl dude's video's but so many of these videos are super fake. No pearl is going to be a neon color or in a shape like a heart or moon.
Almost all those oysters in this MLM have fake pearls and the oysters themselves are dead. In nature Oysters with pearls are rare. Though people farm pearls as they artificially inseminate the alive Oyster to forcefully get said Oyster to produce 1 or more inside it.

I believe they’re preserved to high heaven. 😹
They're quite dead.
My mom remembers these pearl parties back in the late 80's. Crazy people are still doing them and people are still buying.
yessssssss
This scam reminds me of what I did to my baby brother when we were kids 😂😅
I would tell him there is a house goblin in the house (domovoj, we were born in Russia) who gave him gifts.
@@mrgreencrab that's a fascinating piece of culture there! Cute story, too😂 thanks for sharing that :)
Loving it :)
Lmaooooo that’s so devious
Ew. Imagine what those oysters smell like. No thanks.
I can’t even imagine 💀
I wonder what they do with the insides, that's a lot of garbage
@@screamingbanshee1282yeah because it’s not like you can eat them or anything, they’re either rotten as fuck or filled with preservatives
They smell like mad chemicals
They could be fake oysters and fake pearls I got this oyster thing in the mail where you make pearl necklace and it looked real until you got it and it was fake made of plastic. 😂😂
Just the idea of getting shrink wrapped oysters in the mail grosses me out. I just wonder why anyone would find this interesting to start with. There are so many more hobbies that don’t involve shellfish! 😂 The world is your…uhmmmm…oyster.
😂😂😂😂
All those pearls are just loose in the oysters. That’s how you know it’s fake. That’s not how it works.
And the flesh is dried out.
The fact there is a guaranteed pearl, how it can have a half dozen unfused in one shell, or just the insane colors.
@@UlshaRS yup. The pearl is always the colour of the inside of the shell. And it needs to be cut out. Never blue or purple just bouncing around loose.
Some of the consultants keep the extras in a cup all together. Real pearls have to be carefully stored and not in a plastic Dixie cup .
That's how they send them home to the poor people that fall for this all together in a tiny little envelope. 🤦♀️💁♀️
I love hearing MLMs fighting with each other. It is always just so petty and hilarious.
From what i know about how these pearls are made and coloured. They put a starter in the oysters when they are alive which are a certain colour to help the right colour come out. That's also how they get doubles. Saw that on a video about a company who make pearls but can harvest them without killing the oyster.
many companies actually do that - there need to be some sort of starter in the oyster for a pearl to form at all, however oftentimes a grain of sand produces an unsellable product due to imperfections. if you start with a proper nucleus you will nearly guaruntee the pearls you want every time, which:
•causes less stress on the oysters if youre harvesting ethically
•causes fewer oyster deaths if youre not harvesting ethically
so i dont think this is necessarily a negative thing. just part of the business
the company that makes actual pearl content makes kamoka pearls i think ? either way the pearls have to be pushed out with tools. they don't just rattle out of a dry ass oyster like in the parties
Sorry if this has been said before, but i'm fairly certain the dyed (fake) pearls are shoved into already dead clams. So even the pearl shucking aspect is more or less fake as well.
I’m early! Thanks for the update. I haven’t really seen “pearl parties” on social media anymore, so it’s interesting to hear the new news.
Right!! I remember these like 10 or so years ago but it wasn’t online
Wait, do they send you real oysters? So basically dead animals that you can open up to find things inside. That's disgusting
Pearls are rarely perfectly round out of the shell.
All these MLM are So Predatory
I just came from your pink zebra video, I wanted to come on and add that I used to "work" for pink zebra and the group or my upline told me if I didn't have the money to buy the starter kit I should use my credit card, borrow money OR sell my stuff. Like why? I was never skeptical of MLM until I started watching videos on anti MLM then I started to see how predatory these companies are! Never again will I work for one. All they do is sell you the dream. I don't like that. It's all lies.
Did y’all happen to notice that the petite kit comes with zero Pearls? That’s right exactly Non!! Sounds like a great operation, L O L!
Like that?
@@jennchi oh my god I didn’t even think of that but now I’m nervous that could be a possibility
I feel like ANY company could market the job as "unlimited" earnings
Like McDonalds is technically unlimited earnings, as long as you keep working you keep getting money, therefore unlimited
4:34 it's the way that every single pearl on this product page is the exact same one photoshopped in different sizes on the rings... The photos are so fake!
Yeah, do they stink?? And then they are just waisted?? And what about allergies??
So many questions.
Pearl Panties: drag queen or band name😆
So glad you made this, people need to know!!!
HI Isabella!! I LOVE your content! especially how there were so many times I thought of joining BP or one of these lifestyle MLMs for extra income and your deep dive videos helped me so much and probably also saved me from making a HUGE mistake! You are awesome 🤩
I found your channel like 2 days ago and I'm obsessed! Literally love your content, voice, and you're so pretty!!!!!
I was under the impression that Ponzi schemes were illegal. Because essentially that's what MLMs are.
Yaaaay I love finding new channels like yours. I live for the drama videos but some drama these days is way too intense and depressing! Love your set by the way, so cute :) New sub!
Idk what I was thinking when I read the comments...😭😭😭 but seeing those sealed oysters sent me 😭🤮
If they don't have a platform then who will they be selling to? Marketing is about reaching as many people as possible, so for them to say you don't need a big platform either is a big red flag.
Omg I was just binging your earlier pearl party videos!
So I think the reason for the non-compete clause is that some people will join one mlm and form this absolutely massive team and downline. So when they hop to another MLM they'll take all of those people with them.
Never clicked on a video so fast before
I watched a pearl gathering video where they didn't harm the oyster at all. And in this one you get a full box of plastic wrapped oysters? Good god.
I didn't even know this whole pearl party stuff and pearl mlms was even a thing.
First hearing about this I assumed it was, like, jewelry in oyster-shaped mystery boxes, I can't be the only one thrown that it's literally oysters??
Someone help me stop watching her videos 😭 I been on a binge for like 3 days since I found her😂
Everytime I see videos like (the tik token ones) this im reminded the necklaces from years ago that came with 12 of these with a necklace and you could change out the colors to match the months.
I used to be obsessed with watching pearl parties. I have so maby of the pearls.
I spent hundreds of dollars on it and now wear none of pearls lol.
i love how everytime i rewatch this video, theres always some dumb shit that i missed from the time before lol
Aww yes, my favorite MLM. The one where they stick fake pearls in dead rotting oysters. 😢
Those are the oysters that are sold on Wish for dirt cheap.
I have the scoop on royal legacy pearls as an over seas customer. Painted beads sent not pearls. !!!!
Though I do no agree with it really, this is very common in any sales environment, I worked as recruitment consultant for years, before that business consultancy, and you sign non competition agreements all the time, so you can't take clients from one company to another, its very common, but it has to be same industry so I went from automotive recruitment to IT that would be fine, but I couldn't go into automotive anywhere else for 3-6 months depending on the company agreement
the "dental, vision and telemedicine benefits" is something you can do on your own if you know where to look.
Yeesh.
is this MLM similar like BP Party ? (I dont know the exact name) but they keep popping up in my tiktok lives revealing jewelry and supposedly some can reveal diamonds??? And they claim to be genuine stones?? Very sketchy, also I cannot imagine having to buy that many oysters???
when i went on family holiday to Portugal (lived in europe) me and my mom got real pearls from this small local stall at a market for only several euro, even bracelets. they were all locally sourced and everything, i’m like pretty sure they are legit. (pls correct me otherwise) but yeah these things are “pearl parties” are such scams
A dizzingly circular dive into content creation and pyramid pearl schemes. I need coffee - it’s 6am, and not sure how I got to this channel 😹
From what I read about the pearls they die them to cover the imperfections in them
I don't see how this is not considered gambling in that you pay money for the games and you can end up with nothing .
am I the only one that noticed that the "pearl" in the video had holes in it already and is a pre-bought amazon plastic pearl??
These are real pearls (low quality and advertised as salt water when usually they’re fresh water) processed at a pearl processing factory overseas, color-treated / dyed and often off round. They are then inserted into a long dead Akoya pearl oyster.
I honestly have a hard time understanding how people don't know these are scams immediately upon seeing them. Just a tiniest amount of critical thinking is all it takes.
This is awesome. I am going to try it out. thanks
Have you heard of paparazzi jewelry? My mom was in it I think it’s a mlm. If you have heard of it have you done a video on it yet?
Savannah Marie has done a bunch of videos on them
One of my neighbors does that one and keeps sending me invites to live Facebook events. I keep telling her that I can't wear jewelry unless it's stainless steel, but she keeps trying. I have allergy to metals
The easiest way to know the difference between a real pearl and fake one is to scratch it against your teeth, the fake pearls (plastic+ paint) will get marks and real ones wont
Also lab grown pearls look more "perfect and uniform" compared to "natural ones" which are uneven
Aesthetically lab ones look more elegant because they all look the same and natural ones will have "flaws"
Its very over priced, you will never come out ahead......these are "cultured" pearls, basically like a lab created diamond
Those have got to be the fakest perls I've ever seen
MLMs have been around for so long…..why does it seem like there are more than ever?$?
I loved the video, super informative, but the amount of time you said ‘in my opinion’ is actually comical.
What's up with the strange photos in the background?
Mollusk gacha, eh? Can't say that's something I expected to exist.
This is a very clear pyrimad scheme💀
Can you do Bella Grace the collagen?
Mmmm, shipping fish through the postal system. Nothing could go wrong (or smelly) :D
dang this might be the first vid/podcast sponsor that is actually interesting to me lol
lol i bought some of these oysters from wish just for the experience.
great video!
Got my gift ❤
so ... i admit i clicked this vid cause i was curious what a pearl party was... i understood what was said and i know what a mlm is, from back in the day it beeing called a pyramide scheme. but i have to admit, i still got no clue what a pearl party is? you just sitting opening ekspensive oysters online live, and hope to find a pears thats worth somthing? id rather take my chance bying a lottery tickeet, and its a lot faster as well.
I have watched the pearl dude's video's but so many of these videos are super fake. No pearl is going to be a neon color or in a shape like a heart or moon.
Isn't it rare for an Oster to have pearls like how do all of theirs have peals am I just stupid
Almost all those oysters in this MLM have fake pearls and the oysters themselves are dead.
In nature Oysters with pearls are rare. Though people farm pearls as they artificially inseminate the alive Oyster to forcefully get said Oyster to produce 1 or more inside it.
