this is a game series i wish i could of got into it could never hook me though sadly
To answer your question by my own experience with the game : I don't really know - It was good, but not great.
Maybe because of steampunk ? I've already been desensitized to that when I played Dishonored and it was even a little bit lacking in the "Novel steampunk ideas" to me.
This video doesnt make me understand why everyone remembers dishonered.

When I played dishonored I didn't bother using any of the abilities I didn't see the point in them
