Chris Christodoulou killed it on the Soundtrack. DISCLAIMER : I haven't played Risk of Rain 1, so if any of these points sound redundant when considering the first game, just realize that I wouldn't know. If my praise is applying to the first game as well, then just think of it as me applauding the series' success rather than just 2. Thanks. Music List: Blue Mood - Robert Munzinger Chris Christ...

Horror games are also usually unreplayable. Sad but true, you get used to them after the first run, maybe 2 if there's different endings. Fears to Fathom: Ironbark is one of my favorite horror games and I wish I could experience it again, but it's just not the same. 2 hours of playtime and I never returned to it.

Arcade games were and are still doing replayability better than any genre I’ve ever played. Fighting games, shmups/bullet hell, beatem ups, rail shooters all have infinite replayability down pat. Modern games like Ultrakill and devil daggers do this really well also

Ultrakill is literally one those games that u an can replay it again again and again, if wanna start a new game on a different difficulty it will save you previous difficulty and u can literally p rank all difficulty’s

For me, Final Fantasy XIV has that feeling of making me want to replay it with a wiped memory again. And more recently, I played nier: automata from a recommendation, and that has got to be one of the most impactful games I have ever played. Games are able to convey a story that details the evolution of art produced by humanity as we evolve. The mediums become more and more impactful over time, including all of our senses, and eventually blurring the lines as we see ourselves in the view of the protagonist. Video games are insanely cool that way, because instead of reading a book and viewing it as a third party, we get to place ourselves inside the shoes and mind of the protagonist, offering a surreal and addicting experience as we glimpse into another world that could've been. Hopefully, one day, I can give back to video games. Whether that's making one, or helping someone make one, or even just being a content creator. I feel like I owe something to video games.

0:49 NOW THIS is a game that I have spent hours upon hours on, I know literally every single puzzle and I have basically memorized the game from start to finish but I still go back to it, why because I get this feeling that I am playing it for the first time but yet I already memorize everything.

Another good example for me is RDR2. When it launched I got a week off, played until sleep and wake up to play again. One of the best experience a had. This year I trued to replay again but I just cant do it. The amount of effort and time to play this game is gigantic and having this knowledge really hurts the replayability.

This is an excellent video, part of the reason why i love replaying sonic games is that theyre pretty much designed for replayability Always wanting to get faster times in levels after numerous attempts

Not gonna lie since maybe 10 or 12 years ago I have seen multiplayer only games as hollow, and have not touched em much since CS Source got broken by the OB update. Co-op is sweet though- best way to play.

The only game that came close to The Outer Wilds experience for me was The Forgotten City. It's not nearly the same but dabbles in that 'can only be played once' territory.

can we talk about bread crumbs? was it a joke? I've NEVER heard of, seen or eaten bread crumbs in or on or around a burger, and I've had quite a few (300+ lbs here) i mean my city is a bit of a mecca for food and ***EDIT: hold on do u mean the patty? cuz I've heard of that in meatloaf so its kinda close, but as the sandwich as a whole? no ***

I feel one of the weirdest cases in terms of replay-ability are the Persona/SMT games. You could make an argument for really any JRPG, but I feel what I’m about to say applies to these ones the most. On one hand, they’re so packed with content that you can play the game for the 4th time over and still find new items, areas, side quests, Social Links, bosses, endings, etc. You can also do self-imposed challenges like beating Persona 4 Golden with only Izanagi, beating SMT 3 Nocturne without Demons, beating Persona 5 Royal without magic, or doing an all Social Links run (which sounds easy, but it is absolutely not). On the other hand, the games are so long that it becomes hard to see them through to the end. A play through of Persona 5 Royal, from the opening cinematic to the end credits, can take about 90 hours to complete (if the player doesn’t do the Third Semester content), and if you’re planning to do everything the game has to offer, from all the Social Links to the Compendium to the Third Semester content, that time could easily bump up into the hundreds or nearly into the two-hundreds. The sheer amount of content in these games makes it really appealing to complete a full run, but the sheer length of these games makes it really daunting to actually complete a full run.

Theres a game called deepwoken and i think its one of the most replayable games to ever exist , its a permadeath souls like game with the point of every time you restart with learning something new to get better its also multiplayer and it has Guilds that you can have your friends in , the game also has a big side of lore in it that you can explore within the game and it has really good parry based combat its probably one of my favourite games to ever exist

this is like fallout 4 vs fallout new vegas for me new vegas is top tier writing but it just doesnt have fun gameplay. no matter how many mods or challenges I do, it will always be boring after a few quests I recgonize that fallout 4 gets a lot wrong, but it is legitimately one of the only games I could play for days without getting bored
