But is it the case for motorcycles and especially superbikes, which unlike cars, are strongly affected by heavy batteries, and thus, rarely offer adequate range and performance.
Well, today we will demonstrate to you the lineup of all-electric superbikes and sports motorcycles that defy any existing prejudice about two-wheel EVs, and at times outperform gasoline counterparts. Noiseless riding, immediate torque with arms ripping acceleration and truly fast speeds, this is what these bikes are all about!

Electric cars have shown great progress over the past years: they are getting faster, more efficient and cheaper. But how are things with electric motorcycles? Here some of the fastest models that exist right now. Which one do you like the most?
Lightning Ls 218
Lightning LS 218. Wow... they got that right with the styling..... and so much more.......
That's a very nice choice.
Thanks!
Emflux one.. my choice
Nice video! Good variety of bikes showcased here and informative. The voiceover was a little difficult to understand in the beginning but got used to it more towards the end of the video. Thanks for uploading!
Glad you liked it. Which of these models seems to be the most promising to you?
Thankyou for the nice review
Very good. Will you please make a video devoted to the RMK or the Arc??
It's a very nice idea. I will see what I can do.
All look cool but man those prices like wtf
Yep, the prices are painful. Let's see whether they will go down after the big guys from Japan and Europe join the production of electric models
The Energica electric streetfighter fits this bill perfectly. It has the same linear 215 Nm torque at the Ego, the same 21.5 kW long-range lithium-ion battery with up to 400 km of city range, the same suspension and performance options, and all of the technological amenities.
It's an amazing model. Would love to see more of these produced.
I like the lightning LS that is my favorite electric motor cycle so far.😉
It's a nice one for sure
Electric vehicles are here.
Thanks very very much
They are. Which of these motorcycles do you think has the most potential?
@@automotiveterritory
2020 Zero fR/F.
The Range and Price is perfect for a known Brand.
Mantab that moto listreknyo. Padum saboh ?

The Livewire looks nice, I feel like in a parallel universe, it will be called the dead rope lol. But it is a nice bike
Lol. "Upside down" world?
It's and HD bike, what else could we expect ;)?
Some decent fairing and wind shield please. Twelve times not there yet unfortunately.
The arc.. beautiful
Is it your favorite one of them all?
@@automotiveterritory yes!!
Tractions speak louder than words.
So all my (yet to be even close to being built) "eelectrick" bikes have 2 wheel drive, hobs motors with electric braking, that has the advantage of not wearing out the brake pads along with other features. I should not even mention the new 'centerless' motors, but someone else has one shown here so...
I don't live in the US, Tesla are not available here where I live, and I can't be bothered to Google prices, but isn't the Lito Soda about the same price as a Tesla Model S P100D?
It costs a bit less. The P100D is about $120k as far as I remember.
Looking forward great 👍 bike 🏍 electric ⚡️
Which of these did you like the most?
the latest 21.5 kwh batteries are offering 400+ km of autonomy. check damon motorcycles btw
I have talked about it in my newer videos.
I keep the inline 4 screamer thanks 🥰
Do you think electric motorcycles have future though?
I hope Emflux One is able to produce an affordable E-bike and sell them worldwide as their specs seem quite unbelievable at that price point, but maybe they will have several models that will range in price and specs. I wonder how close they are to having low production and selling to a market.
I do hope so too. The market of electric motorcycles needs more options with affordable prices.
@@automotiveterritory Yeah, the same with high and low-end electric bicycles as well (making all EVs more affordable with better specs. and FUVs like ua-cam.com/video/Lc2GPPvFI2U/v-deo.html
Good lord they expensive!!!
They are moire expensive than ICE bikes but they may start dropping in price in the near future, don't you think?
Emflux One is an Indian bike. and yes it's true.
It is. Did I say otherwise?
Paradigm future.
A lot of these look cool, I personally want an Energica EVA or a Zero SR/F as my next bike but superbike specifically referes to a race developed 1000cc three or four cylinder bike or 1300cc two cylinder. You can't just call an electric naked sport bike a superbike.
Those are really nice already but let's hope that the research and advancements of electric motorcycles continue.
Nah gonna stick with my good oll gasoline. Bruh lol
What ICE bike do you currently have?
@@automotiveterritory Winora bicicle
EMFLUX ONE 🥵
Is it your favorite option?
As we are in the early stages of electric bikes, one can only hope that you will get more miles on a single charge, or maybe what some cars are doing now, with a self charge battery?
Also, that the price will come down and be more affordable..
Well, cars have more space for batteries, so they tend to have better ranges. As for the energy recuperation, many electric motorcycles have this technology too.
@@automotiveterritory cars have more space for batteries? Didn't know that.. Batteries are getting more advanced so hopefully they will get stronger.. 100 miles on a full battery or less in some circumstances are not a great seller to me, maybe to other bikers, it is only my opinion..
All of the underbody space in modern electric cars is used for storing batteries, in motorcycles the amount of free space is just too limited.
Nice bikes but the price is too high
It would be nice if they were cheaper. How much do you expect them to be?
Don't forget Savic Motorcycles. And bring back the Arc Vector. Where is Vigo?
Hearing about the Arc Vector was exceptionally sad. As for the other ones you mentioned, I'm planning to talk about them in my future releases.
I wonder if you can have a backup battery fully charged on board and if you run outta juice you can swap batteries and be good to go.. anyone?
Do you think that storing a replacement battery inside a bike is the best idea?
@@automotiveterritory if it's safe having 1 battery what's it matter to have a 2nd
Also, I meant like you could have one in your backpack on a longer trip, like I do with an extra drill battery on a job..
Those are heavy and often non-detachable due to the ergonomics requirements. We might see some sports models with replaceable batteries in the future when you simply make a swap at the charging station instead of waiting to recharge at the plug.
Who is going to pay these prices for an electric bike? You could buy your dream bike for half the price of some of these!
True, but someone is already buying them. Probably electric bikes can be dream bikes as well
I want something light, long range, and max speed of 110 mph. That's the sweet spot. Make it affordable and the mass would go for it. There should be economy, daily, sports, and off-road offerings.
The market is still far away from the specifications that you mentioned.
Price 47000$ like a minute in to video.
Me: Aight guys I think ima head out....
Lightning Strike.
Is it your favorite one of them all?
Prices too high and performance is sorely lacking compared to price. I can buy a Hayabusa for 17k but spend up to 49k for a slower electric bike?
I'm personally glad that these actually exist. If the technology is out there already, it will get more affordable with time passing, don't you think?
Lets look at durability. The electrics will outlast 4 busas and with 1/10 the maintenance
Change sprocket size after purchase, and that Zero will be an unshackled beast.
Hehe you figured it out!
The most energy-dense batteries ever conceived are made of graphene, a material strong enough to build a space elevator. The question isn't, why e-bikes aren't lighter? The question is, why can't e-bikes fly?
The prices are outrageous and 3.9 seconds to 60 with a meager 125 mile range is absurdly impractical. The only way EVs will beat ICEs is to get realistic about meeting the general consumer's needs rather than some uber-rich racing enthusiast's wants. Let's get real - please!
I dont know many people that would want to go more than 125.miles in one go on a superbike
They are more focused on performance rather than practicality, who drives and where at top speed and for how long? Other than racers on race track. Most people who drive regularly don't even know and use the top speed of their vehicles.
Understood and fully agree EVs are here to stay and to become the majority of vehicles on the road!
@@MusicbyLou EV will eventually die (like it happened 100 years ago), when government money supply dries up. There is no future for EV against ICE.
" 3.9 seconds to 60 with a meager 125 mile range" that's perfectly practical if what you're looking for is a machine that would get you to and back from work every day.
I would go for it if the price would be reasonable.
I like the E bikes model great looking cute
Which one did you like the most?
They are too damn expensive 😥
Can't argue with that. Disregarding the price, though, what do you think about their ever improving performance?
Wow!Actally. Those awe pretty affordable ! I have a Harley Streetglide Whichh. Is a lot of people’s dream bike! I. By. Used bikes cause I was highly dissatisfied and with my limited edition 2008 hyabusa !! To freakin heavy my street glide is about the same weight ! So I bought a Super Blackbird for 2500 and I love a 2500 20 year old bike to a Busa! These n
Bikes are gonna perform because of what I am complaining about which is weight and those bikes are gonna deliver light controllable bikes that are fast and handle cornering like never before plus what about gas electri is free at home but what about on the road ???

That weighs about 400lbs & will easily run four hours on one tank
Actually "it will haul a WHOLE LOTTA ASS for four hours on one tank" lol
150mph is quite easy, & not very time consuming either btw
And its far from done at 150mph
I have never ran it out of throttle (I only wiegh 160lbs & its modified)

Hows 2.0 sound
Sorry BUT
You gotta ways to go lol
No one denies the fact that electric motorcycles have a way to go, but the fact that they already exist is a great achievement.
Ok I want 220 hp, weighing 440 lbs, top speed 230 mph and price 20k, ok prove my point where not there yet
How about the range?
200 miles would be fine
Nothing in sight just yet, I will let you know ;)
Lito sora 80 k , like wtf ! 🙄 all EM prices need to come down ! Why are the Japanese waiting so long to mass produce EM's
Yes, it's a luxury model with a steep price tag. As for the Japanese, they are still to produce a decent electric model, although there are many people requesting it.
Is the narrator's last name Ssssssssslithering? Dang!
ducatishell
I’m absolutely in love with the lightning strike !!........ well not exactly, it’s more with the 218 ls but the price is out of range, but the strike now ! That’s reachable. First think about it , it’s electric so very very advanced but it’s the same prices as a regular gas motorcycle, things that most pepoles don’t get is that all motorcycle enthusiasts have about the same goals, and we all like to custom ours baby like we like , exemple pick any sportbike fans and ask him if he would like to have a olhins shock on their bike , most of themes will answer ‘’ thanks GOD ‘’ and then ask themes about ohlins forks? Now they’re just falling on theirs knees 😂😂 some brembo calipers to go with that !!!...... what I means is that all theses are things a sportbikes would like to had to their baby but on strike it’s already all theirs it’s like picking a bike with all the best goodies you’ve ever wish already on it it’s like a dream come true.
And think about that if you buy a ohlins shock for ( let’s say a Kawasaki ZX-10 but any compagny would do ) it’s around 1500 to 2000 $ and a set of forks is at least 3000$ and it’s really at least but probably a bit more, then a set of brembo calipers is around 2000$ the dash on this is 2000$ also and if you pick the top of the models it came in carbon fibre with a more powerful battery but just for the carbon fibres parts have you ever noticed how many small parts of carbon fibres theirs is on any sportbikes you see park on any streets ?, motorcycle fans simply love this and any little bits of it is a pure delight so the top one comes with a full body carbon fibres if you would want to put a full body on a zx-10 it will cost you another 3000$ or so .
So if you think of it what I just say all the goodies combined is worth more than 12,000$ and the strike top model is 20,000$ it means that all the rest ,the electric concept ,batteries, all of it cost you around 8,000$ !????? That’s seems pretty cheap to me. 😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍
Are you planning on getting an electric bike any time soon?
i think engine bikes way better than this, the sound of a loud exhaust 👌👌👌
Do you think there is room for electric bikes on modern motorcycles market?
Well they are here just not for us
What do you mean?
Your specs are way off /old
What do you mean? They are obtained from official press releases.
Jeez, Level 3 fast charging, guys cmon, you have to stop this and do some research. There is no such thing as Level 3 fast charging. There only 2 levels. Level 1 AC charging and Level 2 DC charging. Search for "SAE J1772" or watch this video ua-cam.com/video/jZBsOud4O9Q/v-deo.html
I tried to listen but this guy's s's are way too crispy! He's slicing my eardrums!
Sorry about that. I believe I amped up the deesser in the new videos
These things are heavy
Yes, the battery packs contribute to the overall weight.
Still very expensive
How much do you think bikes like these should go for?

Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews from getting side swiped
So it's the only reason not to get an electric motorcycle?
Its carbon fiber. Copper wire motor and a battery. There's nothing on that first bike making it cost $50k. If ZERO brought their price down to around $5000-10,000 that would be all the EV an average person would buy. This BS is for rich assholes. For now....I'll stick with my Daymak Em1 that get's me around the city just fine 👍 Best of luck spending $50,000 on something that shouldn't cost more that $10,000.🤣
Don't Zero bikes start at 10k already?
@@automotiveterritory American maybe. The prices of these things are to high for everyday people.
They could be better for sure but it's nice to see bikes like these in existence.
Still a bit too pricey..
How much do you think models like these should go for?
A Quiet Motorcycle is a Very Dangerous Machine Driving in Traffic...
In reality according to many researches, the noise level of a bike has nothing to do with accidents. Prevention is all about following the traffic laws by both riders and drivers. No matter how loud a motorcycle is l, if it splits lanes at 100 mph, the accident is inevitable at some point.
I disagree. Noise is very important
And none coming to Aus yet... Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
It's sad that global EV expansion is progressing so slowly.

It’s electric, let’s double the price just because...
What do you think is the main reason?
Russian ?😂
As far as I remember, none of these bikes are Russian.
All except the LS-218 are ugly as hell, I think they need to build them more like petrol motorcycles to get a bigger audience. Not like the nerd bikes they look like now. And the price needs to come down...
one of the biggest reasons i buy a superbike is THE SOUND OF THE ENGINE....
So no electric bikes for you?
@@automotiveterritory big "NO" until i die i never want to buy those dildo with battery....real bike enthusiast will ride real engine ...not battery.
These bikes are all super expensive. I notice that most of them all use some sort of lithium battery. Keep in mind that mining for lithium is a super dirty environmental process. It is not green by any means. Don’t fool yourself by thinking it is. If you drive one, don’t use the environmental base. Part of the fun of riding a bike is for the sound and freedom, not for being stuck to a charge cord and about as much soul as a cellphone. I will say that the Kymco supernex does look great, especially with a 6speed transmission.
What specifications do you think they need to possess in order to be attractive for regular riders?
For those kind of prices you are able to get BMW S1000RR or a f-ng Ducati Panigale V4, which will leave all of those bikes in a dust, and being much lighter. What kind of electric future you're talking about? Those are toys for green rich only.
The first cars started as rich toys as well. I am positive that the prices will go down eventually.
Actually the lightning would leave you crying
Lightning bikes are a rip off. Warn people.
They have been around for a while. What seems to have happened?
they need to outlaw electric vehicles. they get around 8mpg. and if everyone starts plugging them in no one will have electricity for anything else. No current electric grid can handle the needed extra required electricity. So tax payers will get saddled for the Tillion dollar electric grid upgrades and electricity prices will sky rocket. Gas prices will probably go up because the electricity providers will be buying it all up to power your 8mpg electric vehicles.
I am not talking about cars like the "priuses" that generate their own power.
8 mpg, where did you get that number from?
@@automotiveterritory oh its not 8 mpg? ok so what number are you claiming?
Electric vehicles don't have mpg ratings. The only applicable measurement system is mpg-e.
lol ok. so how are you making power? coal, gas, or natural gas? oh let me guess solar or wind?
It all depends on where you live. If it's New York, than yes, a bunch of electricity is produced via solar, wind, hydro
