Cruisers (with a few notable exceptions, such as the Vulcan S) are based on heritage, and for many this is the selling point. Heritage weights the styling and sound as critical components of the design, which is where EV falls down - it's hard to have the aircooled V-Twin look and sound when electric. There's also a completely different "feel" - a boneshaking classic Harley-Davidson Fatbob is completely different to the magic carpet ride of a Zero SR/S. For many cruiser rides I've spoken to, the very idea of an EV is an anathema to their personal motorcycle culture.
I will stick to my GSX-S1000 and CBR300R. One gets 43mpg and the 300 gets 85mpg so gas ain’t a problem. I can run them both all day long for $10 bucks if that. I've just had my ELECTRIC bike order cancelled as they said that they couldn't get it past the paperwork DVLA wanted here in the UK. But miffed after supporting the Company from inception. They are based in Germany and using Chinese components and bits from all over to put their bikes together. Was.just trying to be helpful to a start up as I strongly believe in ELECTRIC bikds, even though I ride a brilliant Honda Rebel 500. As much as I love the ICE motorbike I also want something that does a steady 70mph for at least 200 miles to allow for cold weather affecting the battery and speed bursts which suck power out of batteries. Zero have been watched since they started up also but whilst battery prices have dropped dramatically and there are new better battery technology available nearly every month, Zero prices are not low enough yet. My ICE motorbike cost me just over £6,000 and I would be prepared to go up to £10,,000 for a similar ELECTRIC bike but apart from making the change myself and generally building what I want the Manufacturers are still pricing for the elite market. I intend keeping both ICE and ELECTRIC motorbikes in my garage as each have their benefits. Whilst your video shows some excellent possibilities like the Sondor, the empty space needs to be fitted with more range extending batteries assuming the 80 mph is possible for long periods and not just short peaks. Ribbelles, apologies for spelling look nice but every video I've watched says they're "silent" not wow even I can hear the motor whine and I'm quite deaf in each ear. Apologies for long comment.
Up to 50mph no issue. But over that is slow. I would say its a commuter bike. Duel carriage ways and fast A roads aren't it's thing. I commute into Bristol and Bath. Both about 7 miles and it's great. However when I go to Portishead on faster roads it lacks a KW or 2 but I get 100k on a charge and is cheap to run.
I owned the City Slicker. While it was amazingly good for the price before it was stolen, I think a couple of these bikes are far better. It was a load of fun though.

Sondors E-bike is really bad. Everything stated on the spec sheets is off, not by a margin. Like 0-60 in roughly 16 sec. Speed limit caps at 65 mph, poor range, and a non-removable battery. You have to remove the bolts to remove the battery. The build quality is cheap, and your smartphone ringtone is louder than the built-in alarm system. Don't waste your money on it.

Gen7 has a 750watt motor and can go 45mph?!? Ummmm no 😂
It has a switch that limits the battery to 750 watts for legal purposes/hacks. It can be switched to use the full 5000 watts (or somewhere in that range)
Yeah, you can see the size of the motor in the video. That's nothing like 0.75kW. It's a bike designed to be modified for illegal street use. I wouldn't be sure that they (or their customers) will get away with that for too long.
like the streetdog but unfortunately only offering to nz and nothing to the u.s at the moment :/
Chinese make cool looking products, but lack in quality in everything ,the reason why so cheap.
The difference is in the brakes look for hydraulic disk brakes and stay away from mechanical disc brakes.
Hello everyone
Postings for the first time and need help. Seen so many videos and I'm sold on these bikes and motorcycle. But haven't seen where I can get one, here in the US. So can someone help?
Check out the Zev electric bikes they are here now and are built in the United States
Where is NIU? Such powerful and cheap E-motorcycles...!
Hello, thank you for your feedback. As fast as we are concerned, they only have electric scooters at the moment. Their only motorcycle concept is not for sale at the moment.
i wish there would be an elecric ike that looks completly normal and doesnt has this futuristic look
Hello, thanks for your feedback. How about Zero Motorcycles?
Why do none of these bikes have any type of solar charging capabilities ?
Catch a charge while parked, idle or riding good idea imo
Because modern solar panels are way weaker than you think.
Can't seem to find a way to buy the soco
Hello, thanks for your feedback. Are you looking for their most recent model?
@@Datacube I was on their website
Under 5000
Me:click
Him:4.950 bikes .. very good
Hello, thanks for your feedback. We wish there were more options in this price segment but this is everything that is out there at the moment. There are models that are much more affordable but they don't have the power to be classified as a 'motorbike'
Awesome this wow
Thank you! Cheers!
Cool !!!!!
Thanks for sharing
The sad thing about monday motorbikes for example is that they are not aviable in europe ;c so we need to wait for black tea or sth
Hello, thank you for your feedback. Black Tea moped is a good option too, isn't it?
are these available in united states?
Hello, thank you for your feedback. Some are available, for example Sur Ron and Delfast Top 3.0.
Moreover, Volcon is a US manufacturer.
@@Datacube im looking for something automatic to be able to ride on streets legally do you have any suggestions? i was looking at aprilia mana 850 but was looking for something more affordable
Well, what kind of performance are you expecting?
@@Datacube it doesnt really matter i guess i would want it to go at least 40-50mph i would just prefer automatic and something with bigger tires similar to regular motorcycles but maybe thinner
The "Air SS"
So...the "ASS" motorcycle...made by Rumblemotors.
How did they miss that?!
F77 followed by Sondors for sure
I was hoping for at least one bike that I could actually buy today in the US 😭
Hello, thanks for your feedback. Sondors Metacycle?
Already put down a $100 deposit because it seems like it's *maybe* not vaporware, but "we might let you buy this in Q1 2022" still isn't something I can ride now. (In retrospect, technically the Volcon Grunt is available, but I'm looking for a street bike.) CSC's City Slicker looks fun, but seems to be perpetually out of stock.
It's Q1, 2022. Any updates?
If it cost less than 10K then i don't want it...
I wish i can get one
Whats about yatrimotorcycle
Really, 8hp?! Wow!!
Looks like a motorcycle but slow. But cast as much as a motorcycle that can go 150 mph
