- A growing number of protest tents were going up on the UC Berkeley campus Tuesday as Cal students joined the growing wave of pro-Palestinian demonstrations taking place at schools across the country. Jodi Hernandez reports.

As far as religion goes the Jews were there first and as far as a people are concerned the Israeli Jews (not European Jews) and the Palestinians that can trace their roots before Judaism are the same people, and the Jewish people were oppressed before the Palestinians and have been fighting for their land for a very long time!!!

So they are protesting a foreign war (in a country they will probably never go), but they are not protesting how dangerous Berkeley has gotten.
if this is happening here, than now you know how politicians stand blindly by hate and greed. Israel and Palestinians should give it a rest and just walk away and live in a community in harmony. Students are just students fed by news of the world and have experience but to create havoc for others who want peace. The only time we have this is when the world lashes out in a natural destruction and than only than we will live in harmony and find to coexist.
Enough of this nonsense, they need to let students know that this divisive/racist stuff is unacceptable. They need to clear them out and if they resist the students should get a 2 week suspension, those who aren't students should be charged/fined for trespassing on campus and for interfering. Students who do this a second time should be expelled from the university, period. If the UC president can't make some realistic plan to end this disruptive chaos the regents should fire them and find someone who can.
