- UC Berkeley's Law School graduation ceremony was interrupted several times Friday by pro-Palestinian chants from people in the crowd. The commencement at the Greek Theater continued, despite a controversial mobile billboard outside the event.

Moreover, the principle behind their protest is the misuse of their money for purposes they find morally objectionable. If the scenario were that their contributions were indirectly supporting the oppression of women in Iran, it's quite possible they would be raising their voices against that too. Advocacy and activism often focus on actionable issues within one's immediate environment, but the underlying commitment is generally to broader principles of justice and human rights.

I understand a lot of the frustration towards the US. As cliche as it is to say, please just trust me. Be careful with what a lot of you wish for. Now, I absolutely DO NOT agree with the behavior of The West (US & Allies) throughout History. Nor any other country with blood on their hands. That being said, one could argue; If a nation(or in this case, citizens of a nation) arguing in defense of humanitarian struggles and the betterment of mankind and assuming they have the "moral highground" of course, accuses another nation of breaking their oaths to betterment of man, displaying unbecoming behavior that is destructive to themselves, or others ; If they have not recognized their own hypocracies, in turn the "acussing" party would be contradictory, for they're behaving in a manor that would then be unbecoming of themselves. Is it rash to think the "accuser(s)" might inevitably suffer a similar fate as well, due to their backwards feelings? We know no one's perfect, and I know a lot of you find it very, very troubling to come to grips with a lot of the evil that happens in this world of man. I can't understand how people can tare each other apart and inflict so much damage in such a short amount of time. We have only have so much time to enjoy being a speck of relevance in this momentary miracle in the universe, there's not enough time to waste on hate. Now, I wish it was as easy as I say... Trust me, I also wish I wasn't a hypocrite either, but here we are. All I know is, GOD is GOOD and MERCIFUL! He'll take care of the needy and punish evil doers. In the end, we shouldn't want for more destruction, something about glass houses and stones and all that, rings a bell for me atleast...
