A Hades Doll would be great. You don't make that many male dolls, so Hades would fit Persephone and at the same time add some variety.

I agree! I would LOVE to see a bearded lady doll! Of course, she would have to add some "fat" to the bearded lady doll, because in the movie, she's a beautiful plus-size lady. You almost NEVER see a doll depicting a plus-size person, female or male. Being plus-size is almost a stigma nowadays. And that's a shame. There are LOTS of beautiful/handsome plus-size people out there(and I'm one of them)and we are SERIOUSLY underrepresented. I hope that changes someday.
I love her even more than the Summer version. She's gorgeous. The throne was worth the wait.
If you’ve been enjoying the leafing process, I would suggest Artemis or Apollo - or both. With Apollo being god of the sun, you could use a lot of gold leafing. And with Artemis, you could use a lot of silver instead.
I'd love to see your version of The Morrigan. You did an amazing job on Kali, another Warrior goddess.
I am always impressed that the doll, no matter what colour it starts, is transformed from (in this case) green to flesh colour. Never stop watching always pause while I leave a message/comment.
Yes. I love this more than the airbrush, since using the pastels to gradually change the colour is so satisfying.

Now that we have two persephones we definitely need a Hades! I think you should definitely post more often to help out the youtube algorithm. We'd love to see your channel grow. It certainly doesn't have to be full doll projects, maybe quick digital art or simple tutorials or tips for doll artists. Maybe you could do some sort of behind the scenes? Just something that's not too taxing on you but still adds new content regular to the channel.

I love how you've "returned" to some your previous ways. Like in the beginning when I started to watch you, you always used pastels to change to colour of the doll skin. Then you got an airbrush, and used it always to change the colour. And then you found pan pastels and the airbrush was swept to the side.
And I mean it purely at an aesthetic stand point. watching the change in pastels is so satisfying.

I must echo what I have said before, your eye for color and pastel technique are extraordinary!
I’d like to highly recommend Craft Smart gilding paint. Gold leaf is fun but it can sometimes leave textures one may not want on their projects. I love it and use it all the time, plus a little bit goes a long way so even though the bottle is only .75fl oz it’ll last forever as long as it’s stored properly.
Another advantage is you won’t get flecks of gold leaf everywhere

She is darkly beautiful. Love it. Would have loved to see the 2 Persephones together. I am really liking these mythological dolls of late.
I know I’m super late, but I really love the fact that you kept the ginger hair and made it darker. I’m a ginger myself and my hair naturally darkens quite a bit during the winter because of the lack of sunlight. In the summer, it fades out because I’m outside in nicer weather. I like to imagine the same is true for her!
AMAZING! She turned out so beautiful. I love how she's very clearly the same Persephone as your spring version, but changed with the seasons. The black/gold/green aesthetic combined with her red hair, and the slightly paler skin you gave her for the winter? Lovely.
Much more than a doll customizer you are a real artist. What you do is on another level. It is pure art. Even the dolls you buy to make them are a kind of comercial ones, you transform them into such an beautiful art pieces. Lucky the one who have the chance to buy one of them specially this one. A future winter doll idea you could do would be the Witch from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. You could use your new dreadlock technique and I think you could make a really cool icicle crown for her.

some say that in Irish lore, one should not wear green on their wedding because it denotes envy and jealousy. that it will lead to an unhappy marriage because of all the drama the wedding dress created.

My favorite version of Persephone is that she saw an entrance to the Underworld, met Hades, and went "Yeah, I'm queen now. Deal with it."
There are so many versions of Hades luring her or kidnapping her or seducing her that I feel like it's just people romanticizing that kind of stuff and not actually paying any attention to any other lore.
Anyway, I really feel that this dark version of her is the real her. I absolutely love it.
You might like Lore Olympus on Webtoon, then. It's one of the versions where she actually wants to be with Hades
If you go back far enough in the lore there's evidence that Hades and Persephone are mutually in love but her mom's the one who keeps kidnapping her daughter and can't get over the fact that she's grown up and married now.
Mythology is one of my favorite things, and the Hades and Persephone myth is also a favorite. Now that I'm older, I've realized the myth is less about them, and more about Demeter refusing to let go of her child when she's already a fully grown adult, and letting her have her own life isn't tantamount to losing her forever. But Persephone became not only the goddess of the underworld, but *also* the goddess of...are you ready? HAPPY MARRIAGES. Because she was _happily married_. And pretty much historically was the only wife of a major god who A) was never cheated on B) was treated like an equal (to the point where Hades would often refuse to make decisions without her) and C) stayed a virgin until *she* wanted to. Which was KIND of a big deal, and also sort of spits in the face of the whole other allegations. It's seriously one of my favorite things.
....That, and the stories that can be summed as "Zeus, NO" "ZEUS Y E S"
I like the interpretation in Hades (The videogame). Persephone was basically kidnapped by Zeus and plopped on Hades' doorstep as a 'housewarming gift'. While annoying for Persephone, she was also getting fedup with the dealings of the Olympians and wanted to get away from them anyways, eventually falling in love with Hades for real. Later on when they're making amends with their family, Persephone, to keep being able to live in the underworld and not have to stay with the olympians constantly, makes up the lie about the pomegranate seeds, saying having eaten some bound her to the underworld, which was bullshit and her whole family knew it but they went along with it anyways. The story passed on to mortals who took it as truth.
In the oldest version that I know of it was sort of an arranged marriage bc Hades wanted to marry her but knew Demeter wouldn't approve so he asked Zeus (her father) what he should do and he told him just to take her I'll add a link to my source bc it's a really good video ua-cam.com/video/Ac5ksZTvZN8/v-deo.html

She is gorgeous and the time you spent was worth it. The throne makes the whole story of her life. Goes under to where her husband and throne await her. And we get cold and wet awaiting her return. Mom struck the best deal she could. I like the dark version, this one best. Had to go back and look at light version before vote.

I had to look back at the Spring version of Persephone to see what you'd done, and they really do look like one person in two different roles! You really put a lot of work into the throne and it turned out amazing. A minor detail that surprised me with how much I loved it was the speckles of gold all along the back of the throne, it was probably just a side effect from foiling the skulls, but it makes the throne look much more cohesive than a black bulk with gold skulls and chains stuck on top. It all works together so well!

Speaking of couples please PLEASE DO ROSE AND JACK FROM TITANIC. I think a Rose doll with Rose’s iconic dinner dress would translate beautifully onto a monster high doll. And the facial structure of the monster high boys would be perfect for Leonardo de Caprio doll.
