- Today we will make a beautiful and cold Winter mermaid out of a Monster High doll that I've got from one of you! We willreroot her hair, draw a new doll face and I will also decorate her tail with sparkling iridescent sequin.

My jaw dropped when she started it. It looks incredible but SO TEDIOUS. That's why she's the professional.
Raya Zara so patient, those are the type of jobs that when you get to a certain point you question yourself and think why did I do this to myself, I must hate me.
I normally start to rush it and then mess it up or I don’t finish it and just look at it with disgust and fear.

Antartic mermaid, oh we have this on Finland. It's called "avantouimari" or "My grandma swore the water wouldn't be cold after a sauna even though it's december and now I cannot feel my body from the neck down"

It looks so good! Does someone know if we can buy sequins that don't have a hole in the middle? It is the only thing that I didn't like about the doll. Maybe painting the tail white before gluing the sequins would have also made the holes less visible.

There’s a two headed mermaid from the same mermaid collection called Peri and Pearl I never see anyone attempt to repaint it but it’s a pretty unique doll

the Grate Scarrier Reef doll line Is a bit more on the 'rare' side I have nearly all of them, a double of the two headed doll I wish I could send to her to paint!

Poppen, how far up the tail did you get with the sequins before you started questioning all your life decision? 😆
For me it probably would have been on the third sequin when I realised each time I added a sequin the others would move since the glue wasn’t set and I’d have to constantly reposition them!! I can’t believe she did it, that’s phenomenal patience

You should see the monster high posea doll. Daughter of Poseidon. She’s a reef type thing for legs and sirena von boo. Ghost and mermaid hybrid. They’re both so beautiful.
Just looked them up, man I wish the dolls made when I was growing up were as creative as the Monster High dolls!

Does anybody else watch other doll repaint content and when the person does anything slightly different to how Poppen does it you're horrified like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" Because you're so accustomed to how Poppen does it
omg yes, i alwasy get triggered when other draw on dolls heads with quite unsharp watercolor pencils. And heating heads with water :[
Yes. So much yes. Like I cant hexion AT ALL because he hardly ever does anything to the body itself. He doesnt change the skin color, he doesnt blush anywhere, and I get anxious. Like.. I love his faces and outfits but Poppin has spoiled me for a fully done repaint. Lol

I have the same thing with dollightful, I couldn’t watch other creators. But that’s kinda gone now and I enjoy a few other creators

She is absolutely beautiful. She reminds me more of various myths of divine sky serpents before they earn their full dragon wings than a mermaid.

Very impressed with your patience with the scales! You're right - it's a very striking look. I'm especially impressed that she's still movable on all her tail joints, and the seams between her joints are so clean.

While I absolutely LOVE this, I’m not a fan on the eel-like tail. It makes her look kind of look like a genie. But over all, I think this doll is BEAUTIFUL!!

Maybe consider turning all of the animals into dolls. Like, a beautiful doll whale, or a beautiful doll penguin, a horse, or an octopus. I think it would be very interesting series like, African animals, sea animals, polar animals, barnyard animals, etc., all being recreated into beautiful dolls. Some could be male! ❤
