I don't know if you realised, but this month actually marks the 100th anniversary of when Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered, so this is perfect timing for an Ancient Egyptian doll!
They also have just discovered some days ago a tomb that they say it may be Kleopatras! 👀
Omg I didn’t know that! As a lover of ancient Egypt, that’s so cool! Time to watch some Tutankhamen documentaries to celebrate 𓂀

your story made me think of an idea: turn Frankie into Mary Shelly!! You could take similar historical insp for the other girls of the G3 line too since Cleo kinda kicked it off in a way
This is a great idea! She should turn Draculaura into Bathory, the blood countess. That would be interesting to see.
"Nefertiti is waving to me through time and space" was so wholesome and warmed my soul.
Something about the new faces make them so beautifully suited for your style. Like, I love the old Monster High as much as anyone else, but these new dolls have reinvigorated my artistic drive, and seeing how beautiful your Nefertiti looks (which is fitting since she was supposedly one of the most beautiful women who ever lived), I simply HAVE to paint one for myself.
So glad the dolls came easily from the US. I really like the old MH dolls better than the new, with exception of the more normal body. BUT as usual, incredibly perfect creation!!! And such a funny occurrence with Nefertiti’s head in your powder room!!!

I really love the new dolls and the bodies of the new ones I think most people don’t like it because it’s for the newer generation of kids
I remember learning briefly about Nefertiti in middle school and thinking how gorgeous the iconic bust of her looked.
I wonder if Nefertiti herself would’ve liked this doll as it’s almost like an idol of herself?! 🤔

I love how colorful her headpiece is! I study the ancient Mediterranean, and oftentimes because the art that we see today is faded or sunbleached, people think that it was always supposed to look that way. but the ancient world was very colorful! I love how you chose silk so it would drape properly, and the beads are just amazing!!! I love her!
I heard that some archeologists and historians would remove any paint on busts because they thought the painted busts and statues didn't look sophisticated. I think I learned this is an art class, it's sad to know people are so willing to change historical evidence to fit the standards of the time
For a minute I thought Poppen had inhaled a little too much Mr Super Clear then she explained it was an actual model head under the sink, phew 😅.

I didn't know why you saw Nefertiti so clearly at the beginning, but at the end I was shocked by how closely she resembled the famous statue! I so appreciated the outfit and accessories which look so much like the historical examples. Most people don't pleat the fabric and choose more opaque fabrics. Such an amazing doll!

I loved everything about Ancient Egypt since I was a 10years old.
Many many not know but, Nefertiti completely disappeared from history. She was the wife of the controversial Pharoah, Akhenaten. They are theories that he got rid of her, or she ran away , some say she died , but they are no records or her death, not was her mummy found. Which is strange since she was Queen consort.
They said she was against her husband's ways and might have gone against him and also since she couldn't give him a male heir this caused discord between them. After her disappearance, and Akhenatens death, his Son Tutankhamun was Pharoah, and he banished all legacy and trace of his father from all possible ancient records.
It's very sad since we assume she really suffered a lot emotionally and know today how beautiful she was, no one truly knows what happened to her. The bust of Nefertiti was in fact found in the workshop of a sculptor named Tuthmosis. By a German excavation team.
She still remains a mystery till this day, and never fails to capture the awe of everyone who glance her timeless beauty.

I really like the new monster high dolls, not as much as the first gen, but they are quite cute. I do wish their shoes were as detailed as the ones from previous generations, and the necks were longer, specially in Frankie. The chest articulation is a huge improvement, tho.
I'd also love to see a medieval princess, especially if she has one of those cool complicated headpieces with braided-up hair, there's so much cool potential for memorable designs there!

I feel you when you said you watched hours of Nefertiti documentaries because I did the same XD. She is such a fascinating character/person/personality that I just love to know everything I can about her. I also did binge watch all I could find about Cleopatra, Anne Boleyn and Elisabeth I.

I have loved learning about Ancient Egypt since I was just a little kid and it inspired me to persue archaeology and anthropology. So when I saw this video come up I was beyond excited. You did such an amazing job in capturing her image and everything is so beautiful! I truly think Nefertiti herself would adore the work you did.

I remember going to an exhibit about king Tutankhamen in elementary school and it’s probably the best school related memory I have 💜 Seeing actual artifacts from the tomb was absolutely incredible.. I hope I can go to Egypt itself one day and see the museum of antiquities and the ancient buildings.. And the pyramids.. oh I’d cry if I went ♥️

Funny because originally I didn't want any of the G3 MH dolls, but you may have convinced me to get Cleo 😂 probably because she actually still *looked* somewhat like her G1 counterpart but different in a good way.
At this rate, Cleo looking Nefertiti might as well be intended, even the skin tones match *the* bust sculpture. Good stuff like always ❤

edit: aagghh and the doll is so gorgeous. the dress and the necklace was just awesome! also i paint and draw but will never have the courage to paint the highlights first as you did with the gold leaf because i know i'm gonna ruin it in the process. too much stress for my heart. im always on the edge when you do that--- greatt work!!

The G3 Cleo DeNile is the first Monster High doll I’ve ever owned! She was my favorite design among all the G3s. Beautiful makeover!

Ancient Egyptians shaved their heads because lice was rampant there and then they would wear wigs to protect their skin and show status. So, the bigger the wig the higher your status. The beadwork here is fantastic. This is by far my favorite doll you have repainted. Absolutely beautiful.

I always assumed that the sculptor took inspiration from this iconic bust. Seeing the head without paint confirmed that belief. It is a beautiful sculpt.
As always you created a beautiful doll. You really brought the iconic beauty of Nefertiti to life in 1/6th scale. The crown is an amazing scale recreation. And then you gave her a collar. The dress is perfectin it's simplicity. Individual pieces are amazing. Together, stunning.

Beautiful! I've been a fan of ancient Egypt since I was a kid and I'm very familiar with the bust of this queen. You captured her face perfectly! The eyes of the bust always seemed alive to me and you recreated those hypnotic beautiful eyes. The dress and headpiece as well as necklace was my favorite half of your video. I really loved the recreation of the gown. I really loved watching the creation of her necklace. Her shoes and headpiece were also a pleasure seeing recreated I very much liked the gold leaf add on. The final look captured the image of the queen. This is my new favorite doll repaint and I really enjoyed it.
