We're so excited we've started building our cabin in the woods, This is a tiny house just for Rosie. We've no previous cabin building, tiny house or house building experience. What do you think so far?
You guys are just awesome - Rosie is so lucky to have her own teenage hang out. She is such a kind, engaging and well brought up young woman and she obviously loves the special environment we all share. Just remember if you ever fancy some air con and a dip in the pool - you are always welcome here.
Very cool! My granddaughter is fourteen and she has her own cabin, it did come with the property but it’s nice for her to have her own space. I’m sure Rosy will have a grand time decorating!
Hi, I'm looking forward in anticipation for you to complete Rose's tiny house. Looks like you are making shorts now. Hope you will continue finishing the tiny house soon, before the cold weather sets in. NB❤
Hi next video is up weds at 7.30pm, it's, a longer one, we took a month off. We, wrapped rosies cabin in tarps but also finish the doors, and windows. Finances permitted her cabin be water tight by Christmas. The roofs all ordered ❤️
This is fun to watch and I am looking forward to the continuation of the build. I bet Rosie is excited to have a proper off grid cabin to live in with plenty of space. She has lived in the tent far longer than I would like to, one week is enough for a holiday.
This tiny house sounds wonderful, how lucky is Rosie to get her own tiny house with veranda, balcony and stunning views. Looking forward to the next episode, as it did seem to move along quickly, hoping it continues to. It must be so lovely after all the visa stress to now feel you can settle properly on your land. Good luck with the all the building
Haha Ive enough footage to make many videos a week, however as it takes me around 2 days to edit a not massively ,long vlog, it interferes with the build, so videos will be sadly sporadic!
One project at a time. This one is very exciting, you have so much love for one another, I can feel this. A tiny home for Rosie, then a new home for you two? The Wildlands really has become a beautiful homestead for you all, the work you have put in paying off in so many ways.
How exciting... Rosie must be so happy. I have no doubt after having seen you build the outdoor kitchen that this tiny house will be nothing but amazing. Can't wait to see it finished
Wooo hoooo well done, Rosie is a lucky young lady. Watch your backs both of you, that's a helluva lot of work clearing ali that and then building, lifting etc. Looking good so far can't wait to see the end result xxxx

So excited for you all. We are planning in travelling over to the continent in the new year with no real plans, maybe we can message you we are two relatively fit older couples(actually fitter that some 30 year olds!) who have loads of life skills to offer, not afraid of work. Would love to meet you all and have a few around a camp fire 🔥❤🙏
Good morning, ( very early 3.46 am). Rosie is 1 lucky young woman. It is looking good, and taking shape. Brings you closer to your own cabin😀. I am so looking forwaed to it all. X
Well yeah, you have to fence off the areas you dont want clipped. In my state, Wisconsin, US...there are a few family businesses who rent out their goat herd for a day or however many days it is predicted to clear it. The company transport the goats, set up the temporary fencing, have water available, etc....but the goats eat everything (get natural variation in their diet), etc. Amazing busy idea..imho. goats because they are nimble and go up rocky slopes, etc. Sheep and cows work too.
Thanks, very good progress, we're motoring ahead but well2 be delayed financially though as we're building in logical steps based on the availability of budget!
Wow, this is going to be an exciting project for you all. I will be following this series of the wild landers with great interest. Thanks for sharing guys take care 💙❤️
You guys are very inspiring in your journey through life in Portugal. We are from the UK and retired here to Portugal near Coimbra 11years ago...but in a traditional very old house which we restored, albeit not entirely on our own. Boa sorte... you will succeed just as you have so far!!
Great vid again, Dom and Missy. Just a slight point of criticism if i may. The varying levels choppy zoom in the beginning while you were explaining were hard to process..
Rosie has a problem with loud noises so can't be there for the drilling construction, but she'll be doing the insulation and all the decorating 😊👷♀️❤️
This is jysf wonderful. How much you've already done; I'm so impressed with your progress. I live the idea of cabins on your Wildlands, and can't wait to watch thus series ❤
That's going to be Fantastic .. But is it Legal ? 🤔 I watched a video on the 1951 rule which said all these buildings needed Planning Permission or is your Area Exempt ??
Our old building built pre 51 has an urban article, this cabin comes under farming support and has permission as its so small so not requiring a permit. This varies not only by area but by camara (town architects office)
My understanding of these Portuguese laws are a bit different than your interpretation. In my opinion it's at least a grey zone to build a kitchen, cabin and so on untill you're starting approved renovation of the ruin to host "temporary structures" for this project, or licence an official farming business with need of living on site. But at the end of the day it's your land and your responsibility, I'm just commenting my side of view.
