How to fix a car DVD player and save💲💰💲

My overhead dvd player in my van stopped working right before our cross country roadtrip and so I had to find some way to fix it. this video documents how I did it myself.
The Challenge: Fix the car DVD player before we go on vacation.
The Problem: I almost caught the car on fire.
The Solution: A simple and inexpensive trick that everyone should know about.
ultimately, I ended up buying a used DVD player from a junkyard and that proved to be the best option. it was still a challenge, but it is totally doable for even a beginning DIYer.
