I can only reply for myself and not others. I have too much invested in Nikon lenses and the controls are familiar to me from the entry level model up to the flagship model to switch to a mirrorless system.
Suyogslothworld Video is not any better on DSLR afaik. I would say a bit worse since many Canon and Nikon still can't do 4k while many mirrorless can. I understand crop user of DSLR, they are pretty compact. But the Full Frame DSLR people might consider something that doesn't weigh as much as a brick. Fuji has amazing lenses.
Definitely consider a Japan trip! You folks are long overdue for a travel special, and Tokyo would be a great place to do it (as well as the rest of Japan).
Husnain Anwaar East Asia is usually covered in a haze of pollution and yellow dust. They'd have to fly at least 3 hours either south or west of Hong Kong in order to get a good view of the night sky.
Don't buy an XT10, the price on used XT-1 has dropped a lot recently, you can get one for not much ore than the price of a used XT10! I use the XT-1, it's a superb camera. I said XT-2, because if you have the money that is the best choice, but the XT-1 is almost as good.
Uncaged, is the X-T1 really worth a little more then (new) X-T10? I was thinking about buying either one. X-T10 is somehow cheaper and I have doubt if the X-T1 is worth that little more...
Again, a very high quality video from you guys! Keep it up :) I'm personally waiting for the upcoming X-Pro 2 and Fujinon 35mm f/2... that'll be a great walk-around combo.
Hi, thanks for the review. Quick question: as a fellow spectacle-wearer - did you experience any trouble while using the EVF with your glasses on? Did you have to "press" against the eye-cup, or was everything clearly visible without any major pressure? Thanks...
I wanted to "like" the video just to get a Japan trip episode. I ended up liking the video because DRTV actually made DRTV review of the camera. Not rubbish like that Nikon 1 J5 preview.
Oh and as if by chance, the brand i have recently bought into have released this little bit of loveliness! My tiny x-a2 is alright but it is small, and no EVW, just the lcd screen, this would compliment my camera brilliantly, with some new glass on the front!
Good video, man. But seriously, I still have love for my X-Pro1. It may be a bit slow but in the hand it feels better than any other camera I've ever held, and everything is laid out just right. And hey, you can always zone focus out there on the street. If they keep the same form factor for the X-Pro2, I reckon it'll be unbeatable.
Just bought one of these over here in Preston UK, the kit lens is actually quite good, I have the 5D MKIII and a raft of L glass but really the kit lens from Fuji is really very good..
The XT-1 is only $300 more than the XT-10 and you get way more. After the Filmware update in June the XT-1 will have all the new focussing abilities of the XT-10. If I didn't have the XT-1 I'd might consider the XT-10.
I'm in a dilemma. I currently have an A7II and I love shooting portraiture and landscape. However, I hate the colour of the A7II as it is so flat and have to be edited for it to look alive. The fujifilm XT-10 on the other hand has more vibrant colours in JPEG, has sharper potrait quality and does not need to be edited much. Photography is only a hobby for me, I just love to snap and share/keep them memories of places I go and people I meet. Note that I don't shoot RAW at all and I don't have a lot of time to take hours to edit my photos. BUT, the dilemma hits when I'm going back to crop sensor. I know for a fact that I won't get the same DOF like a full frame, but when I saw the sample of potraits, the DOF is quite similar actually. What are your thoughts? A7II - 4750 dollars 55mm F1.8 Zeiss - 3300 dollars XT-10 - 3000 dollars XF 23mm f1.4 R - 3000 dollars 23x 1.5 (cROP FACtor) = 34.5mm i am leaning towards getting 23mm (35mm), since it's wider and I can even get landscape and group shots without having to go very far. Sony's 35MM f1.4 is easily 5000 dollars and it's so huge. If I were to go to Fuji I can save about 1000 dollars. But do you think it's worth it?
X-T10 is much more suitable for you bro since you don't shoot RAW at all. It's depends on your budget. X-T10 is very similar with X-T1 and it just doesn't have weather sealed. So it could be very good invest on this camera and also fuji lens is awesome.
Is it just me or does this video look extra sharp? Sharper than normal. Colors and contrast looking good too. Did Lok use a different lens? Oh, review as well!
Was just about to comment that when I saw one of the last images of Kai holding the X10. Hope it performs well, think it was suppose to be a Zeiss Touit instead of a Fuji one that was made in the end.
should i sell my canon t3i and get this? i like the lighhter body and feel i'd have more fun shooting with this. I have Canon EF lenses so i guess i'd need a canon mount for this. (not worried about video quality as i have a blackmagic pocket cinema camera for that). Any thoughts?
Definitely. And if you want to use your canon lenses on the x-t10 just buy a cheap adaptor. That's one of the many advantages of mirrorless cameras. The x-t10 definitely fails hard when it comes to video, but the images it can produce will be miles ahead of the t3i
Good afternoon. Please forgive me for the question, probably the answer to that. Tell me he Sold his old kit Sony A77 + Sal 1680Z that the post can take on a replacement. Really liked Everything, with a child, it was hard to wear. Fuji x-t 20\x-E3 with the 1855 or the Olympus om-D E-M5 mark II V. 12-50 or 14-150? For shots of family, dogs, nature?
What I like in Nikon D5500 is the unique red color in dSLR. What is wrong with color in dSLR? All should be black. Also for me a the movable touch screen is a must for a travel DSLR. Plus the wifi it a nice camera. If it had gps I would by a red one yesterday. I really vote for the Nikon D5500. As it usual Kai don't miss the change to drop a camera. I suspect that it was a dummy model.
The XT-1 used is just short of $1000 .. and this is $800(preorder) I like the idea of Mirrorless.. but like so many others who have a lot already invested in DSLR equipment i'll stick with what i have,
Should I change from canon 70D to this Fuji X-T10, I go for portrait (the most), daily life, art, food, sport and go for a little bit videos filming ? My combo now is Canon 70D with 18-55 STM and 50 mm f1.8 STM. Or some other thing you want to suggest me for a better option (like save money and go to Full Frame DSLR)? Thank you.
You should checked the sample results from both cameras, they produces a totally different color rendition. The Sony is quite warm (more orange) meanwhile Fuji is more to the cool side (green and blue hues).
My main concern is about battery life: does it last a whole day of "normal" use, where normal could be something like shooting aroung during a holiday without running back to the hotel or looking for a power plug (+ adapter)?
I’m getting a t1 (my first mirrorless, hope my Nikon D3 doesn’t get jealous) and had no idea they made a slightly smaller t1, my question.... WHY?!?! It’s not like the t1 is massive, this makes no sense.
Are the images out-of-the-camera jpegs, or have they been post-processed, either from jpegs or RAW files? It would be helpful if the reviews mentioned this. Thanks.
how well do you think will it perform on low temperature like on snowy places? how far can it be pushed to it's limit regarding that it's not weather sealed?
Kai mate, aside from this review, why has Digital Rev not reviewed either the Fujifilm Xf 16-50 & 50-140 F2.8 models. Fuji finally make 2 journalist quality fast zooms, one of yours and my main gripes with them, and yet no reviews?...Maybe after the firmware update for the X-T1 in June, you could do it then...
Cool camera, but a digital Zenit ET or Xps would be awsome. Kai, what happend with that 90s idea of useing digital cartridges in any film camera? I know...Im a dreamer...but im not the only one!!!
I am starting to get this feeling that we will never see another Samsung review for some reason... I would have loved to see an NX1 review but did DigitalRev have a falling out with Samsung or something? The last camera they reviewed they really enjoyed but then never touched another one...

You will get the same picture out of it. On the software side, though, the AF is not as good on the X-E2; and X-E2 is currently on firmware 3.00 and will probably stay there (it has reached the end of its life with regards to receiving new features). I'd go for the XT-10 if I were you, simply because it is the same price and you get more in the package, with more features to come in firmware updates. this guys talks about cameras like jeremy clarkson talks about cars lol
I knew i wasn't the only one getting Old Top gear vibe from his videos
Sometimes I just watch these videos to see Kai strolling through Hong Kong. Love that city..
+andersdenkend I thought I was the only one.. :D
andersdenkend I live in Hong Kong, nice place.
The standards of your videos recently are of very high quality! Keep it up :)
Affordably priced but does it have the makings of a modern classic?
Love your videos!
DigitalRev TV WHY NO 760D REVIEW
Random.com Only if you stop shouting
What is a 760D? LOL
Carlos Fernandez the 760d is the new dslr by canon
I'm all for a Japan special!
Don't understand why people are still running around with super heavy Full Frame DSLR when you have amazing cameras like this.
Adriana K. for one thing they do not have the speed light control of the bigger names
I can only reply for myself and not others. I have too much invested in Nikon lenses and the controls are familiar to me from the entry level model up to the flagship model to switch to a mirrorless system.
Because people also want to film.
Suyogslothworld Funny you say that since most videographers are switching to the Mirrorless GH4 and A7II.
The last few videos are really good! Keep this style!
Funny but I think the photos Kai took this session with the X-T10 are his best to date in a video. It looks a great street camera.
Yes! We want a Japan travel special episode !
Great review. It was taken serious throughout and there was no joking around. This was just like the old days of DRTV.
Agreed. I've not watched drtv in a long time because it just got too stupid and stopped being informative.
The best thing about Kai's reviews is that along with the camera or lens reviews you get a free tour of Hong Kong. Is n't it ?
For a newbie like me that was a good review. Thanks
I would love to see more Fuji reviews and general content from you guys!
This is the video that sold me on the X-T10
Love my Fujibaby
Do you still?
You didn't mention the cleverly hidden flash at that penta prism hump, Kai. :)
Raoul Gerard Asibal
Maybe he didn`t find it :o
Was going to mention that. :)
+Kai Man Wong said brilliantly
Just adding to the praise, videos lately have been much better. Slightly less sillyness for the sake of it, but not boring either.
Definitely consider a Japan trip! You folks are long overdue for a travel special, and Tokyo would be a great place to do it (as well as the rest of Japan).
when will you do Astrophotography ?
Husnain Anwaar At night......
Husnain Anwaar I'm guessing downtown Hong Kong isn't exactly prime light for Astrophotography.
if they can afford that expensive gear showery they can afford a airplane ticket
Husnain Anwaar They live in hongkong, lot of lights coming from the city
Husnain Anwaar East Asia is usually covered in a haze of pollution and yellow dust. They'd have to fly at least 3 hours either south or west of Hong Kong in order to get a good view of the night sky.
Thanks Digital rev for making this video
The front and back wheels can be assigned to ISO or what ever function you want. So it's not really missing out on quick dial ISO
Bought one of these used for $150 in 2019. Photos are still good out of camera. Good for travel.
Awesome! I would like to see a comparison with the x100T
I just love this old fashion design
I've been waiting for this review since yesterday!
Which should i get? Fujifilm x-t10 or sony a6000?
XT-2
xt10

X-T10 is only for photography, right?
Am I the only one who miss the good old days when Alamby was one of the co-hosts?
I love the design, it looks exactly like a digital Fujica ST801! :-)
Again, a very high quality video from you guys! Keep it up :)
I'm personally waiting for the upcoming X-Pro 2 and Fujinon 35mm f/2... that'll be a great walk-around combo.
You guys should deffenitely do a Japan travel especial program! I miss this kind of video.
pretty slick video. the top gear of camera reviewers. and no sexual innuendo . thumbs up.
Hi, thanks for the review. Quick question: as a fellow spectacle-wearer - did you experience any trouble while using the EVF with your glasses on? Did you have to "press" against the eye-cup, or was everything clearly visible without any major pressure? Thanks...

No idea why people hate on the xpro1 so much. It's a great camera.
more reviews about fuji stuff would be adorable

Hell yeah do a Japan travel special guys. DO IT!
Wooooh! You already got that new Fujinon 90mm f2.0 lense!
I beg you to make a review with an X-T1 with the new firmware 4.0 - pleaaaase!
Hey guys! Just wondering what was the longer lens you were using in the shots.. Was it the 90mm ? :)
Love your work!
Was just about to comment that when I saw one of the last images of Kai holding the X10. Hope it performs well, think it was suppose to be a Zeiss Touit instead of a Fuji one that was made in the end.
Very interesting reviews, keep it up.
I feel like I'm watching a documentary. Love that voice.

Loving the hat dude.
and yes,...we love every single dial on the X-T1 !!!
Whats the best sport lens i can get for this camera? I have a bugdet around 500 dollars
55-200 3.5-4.8 OIS, great lens for the money.
Yes, we want DRTV to shoot in Japan :)
Y'all should do a comparison, of the XT1, XT10, and XE2 since they all use the same sensor. Also you should review the fuji 90mm.
Loved the video
I would gladly see a Japan travel special.
Awesome review

you have an impeccable voice, like someone I can cast into numerous voiceover productions... i hope you've gained a lot of weight by now...
Japan special? Actually, another travel special? Yes please! Invite Alamby to it too for good measure.
The XT-1 used is just short of $1000 .. and this is $800(preorder)
I like the idea of Mirrorless.. but like so many others who have a lot already invested in DSLR equipment i'll stick with what i have,
Still love my XE2, (image, size and look)
Fujifilm pls keep update the firmware.

This or the A6000? Having trouble deciding...
Same lmao
Check the heat issues on the a6000
jonathan hew go with this because of the better lense selection
You should checked the sample results from both cameras, they produces a totally different color rendition. The Sony is quite warm (more orange) meanwhile Fuji is more to the cool side (green and blue hues).
My main concern is about battery life: does it last a whole day of "normal" use, where normal could be something like shooting aroung during a holiday without running back to the hotel or looking for a power plug (+ adapter)?
Anyone else enjoyed ACDC Thunderstruck being played in the background?
Yes, a trip to Japan, with Alamby!
Torn between the XT1 vs XT10, XT1 is more expensive but has weather sealing
Quick question. X-t1 or X-t10? No money limit involve.
What lens didn't he like and what did he put on instead? Zoom off, prime on I am guessing.
Is it waterproof/resist enough to be use under light rain.
Can you do a updated video on how to do street photography?
Affordable until you have to go buy all the damned lenses for it. Shit.
What have you guys done with Alambi
Thanks Kai!
Thanks for review
Would love to hear your views on lens that go perfectly with mirrorless cameras...especially a6000
I’m getting a t1 (my first mirrorless, hope my Nikon D3 doesn’t get jealous) and had no idea they made a slightly smaller t1, my question.... WHY?!?! It’s not like the t1 is massive, this makes no sense.

i wanna see you guys go to japan and or maybe start going to conventions
So X-T10 or X-T1 and why?
Can I use this fujifilm X-T10 as a video camera?I need to do an assignment. Hope some professionals can answer me this question. Thanks a lot.
Would you say this is better than the OM-D E-M5? I am trying to decide which one to get. Thanks
I SO WANT TO SEE A JAPAN SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you going to do a review of the new fuji 90mm that you were using in the video?
Cool camera, but a digital Zenit ET or Xps would be awsome. Kai, what happend with that 90s idea of useing digital cartridges in any film camera? I know...Im a dreamer...but im not the only one!!!
What lens did he take off at the beginning?
+richard yap I want to know this too!
Is it better than the X-A5
Are you also reviewing the 90mm and 16mm that make cameos?
what lens did you use!?!?!?
How *do* you change the ISO? Menu?
And what are those black dials at the front and back for?
I am getting confused... to many models to choose
What happened to Alambi?
She's not working there anymore
Liam she left digitalrev ages ago, why dont people know this?!
She left as the 2 guys made her look fat
Liam fstoppers.com/originals/fstoppers-interviews-alamby-leung-digitalrev-tv-51068
Alambi left 2 years ago. She is now a manager over at Hypebeast as of the beginning of this year.

Hey. Who's the new cute girl?
The Alamby replacement. lol
I have a Fuji X-E2 and I'm curious on how that performs compared to this new X-T10.
Alan Harake I think they have the same sensor, so image quality wise they'd be the same. I have an X-E2 as well and I love it :)
