    To avoid the struggle positioning the lights to face the object, just use a "Target" tag for it so it always faces towards the desired object :)

    Your the man! Am new to computer/ 3d design in general, few days in and it's amazing to be able to do this stuff already, mine wasn't quite as good as yours but defo better than I expected so soon, I will be putting a blog up and will give your tutorial a lil heads up when I do. Truly grateful for this tutorial, looking forward to the next.

    ...rewind to teenage EJ and pretend he is learning C4D then...his mom from downstairs yells : "EJ stop playing with your voronii and get down here for dinner!" - 😂😂 that's the scene i imagined at around the 3min mark when it sounds like you hold back a giggle. I don't know about Cinema4D, but in Blender you can do it. So if Blender doest that, I really think that a expensive (professional) software would be able to do that too. Maybe I am totally wrong. We'll see.

      Which operator do u wanna do it to?

    • @caltd
      @caltd 6 років тому +3

      It would seem to me that you could; the rigged character would simply be the child of the Voronoi Fracture object rather than having the other items in the hierarchy. My initial thought is that it would be very heavy with regards to processing. Did you try it? Please share your results if so!

    You're videos show the good stuff. Gratitude. I especially love this demo, so many possible ways to utilize and have fun. I'm still new to C4D so excuse me if this is an elementary inquiry...I'm think of applying this with other 2D digital imagery..if I wanted to sandwich other imagery , like it was inside of a object like this, can one create alphas or render file in a way to separate for that purpose?...hope that made sense. I know I could always use the pen tool to manually cut parts out but was hoping there was a more efficient way. Thanks again for your content!

    Hello.
    This voronoi thing is cool. Im trying to achieve a roman mosaic effect but with no success. So after seeing this video I thought asking you for advise. Do you think its possible to achieve such effect with voronoi?. Is it possible to tell c4d to make a cut to every color of an image?. Example, your eye logo. Is it possible to say to c4d to cut the blue color in rectangular pieces and then do the same to the orange and black?.
    Thank you.

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  6 років тому +1

      There is a way to fracture based on colors of an image I believe. I'm pretty sure I saw something like this on the MAXON3D UA-cam channel as a quick tip...also check out other Voronoi tutorials on the web, I'm sure you'll find something about it! Thanks for watching!
