Your the man! Am new to computer/ 3d design in general, few days in and it's amazing to be able to do this stuff already, mine wasn't quite as good as yours but defo better than I expected so soon, I will be putting a blog up and will give your tutorial a lil heads up when I do. Truly grateful for this tutorial, looking forward to the next.
Dope tutorial. Man, when it came to the lights part I was struggling lol trying to rotate and move them was a HUGE headache, but I think it turned out alright. Thanks a lot for this.
...rewind to teenage EJ and pretend he is learning C4D then...his mom from downstairs yells : "EJ stop playing with your voronii and get down here for dinner!" - 😂😂 that's the scene i imagined at around the 3min mark when it sounds like you hold back a giggle. EJ you the man! You are to C4Das Arnold Schwarzenegger is to body building. BEST TEACHER EVER! not enough time for me to watch all your tutorials - everyone has nuggets of knowledge. Again THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Hey! Thank you for ur great work! Bit i've some truble with falloff with R23, you select NONE but i dont have this button. Clip or smth here. I tried all of this but results such different from you.
I don't know about Cinema4D, but in Blender you can do it. So if Blender doest that, I really think that a expensive (professional) software would be able to do that too. Maybe I am totally wrong. We'll see.
It would seem to me that you could; the rigged character would simply be the child of the Voronoi Fracture object rather than having the other items in the hierarchy. My initial thought is that it would be very heavy with regards to processing. Did you try it? Please share your results if so!
New Voronoi Fracture Features R19 🔥🔥🔥 Sorting (The order in which the cells are indexed) Detailing (Adding internal detail and complexity) Connectors (Quickly linking cells to each other dynamically) Geometry Glues (Merging cells together to create more complex chucks) Cells Scaling (Stretching cells to create new styles of break patterns like slices and splinters) New Vertex Tag Outputs (Get Vertex Maps that cover the internals of the Fracture and the edges) There just amazing NEW features 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey EJ! Nice tut as always! Could you (or anyone else 😬) tell me what’s the difference in using cloth surface instead of Subdivision Surface? Because in this video you used both for different reasons I think 🤔 thank you very much!
Great! I love your tutorials! Tell me please if it's possible to add jiggle to the extruded text with voronoi fracture? (Can't find any tutorial🙁) The idea is to crash the text, that is jelly, and peaces are bouncing after falling. Thank you in advance!
Im not sure if this has to do with the latest cinema updates, but I cant for the life of me replicate the look the Displacer, where its all wavy and psychedelic. Its just barely doing that at all
Is the computer you use an imac or macbook pro? And if so, how do you install octane render? I don't know if you could help me or make an installation tutorial.
Hey Ej, super cool tutorial thanks for that. Hey I'm just wondering how to chance the falloff tape to none in R20. It's seem like not working ?! Maybe you can help me out. cheers
I use some couple of extruded object and slice them once with VF. What is the best way to apply the colours to each object? Otherwise I have to use extrude to individual pieces?
Any tips on how to voronoi fracture an object that is already animated in R20? The problem is that Voronoi fracture updates the fracture with each frame.
You're videos show the good stuff. Gratitude. I especially love this demo, so many possible ways to utilize and have fun. I'm still new to C4D so excuse me if this is an elementary inquiry...I'm think of applying this with other 2D digital imagery..if I wanted to sandwich other imagery , like it was inside of a object like this, can one create alphas or render file in a way to separate for that purpose?...hope that made sense. I know I could always use the pen tool to manually cut parts out but was hoping there was a more efficient way. Thanks again for your content!
great tutorial, thank you! but that made me think - is there a way to make it spiralized, Escher-style? so all those lines would be connected in one spiral. any ideas ?
Very good question! Off the top of my head, the Voronoi Fracture method would work for that. Unfortunately I don't think there's an easy solution for that effect but I'll keep brainstorming!
u did Cineversity C4D Live presentation about Painless Character Rigging using Deformers and Splines in that tutorial the last thing about Automatic Lip Sync its so cool but i train ti that Lip sync is not coming properly can u explain in detail man plzz plzzzplzzzplzzz
can you please help me to find your one of video. in maxon exhibition you showed your workflow and explain about rigging stuff... I couldn't find it now. please share that video to me
Nice effect. Learnt a lot from that. But what is you render setting because because my voronoi fracture doesn't show in the final render though it shows up fine in the view port? I tried different render settings and it keeps getting worse. I'm using C4D r20 on an iMac. Can you please assist me out?
Might want to make sure your Subdivision Surface or something else has the same Editor Subdivisions and Render Subdivisions. Thats the only thing I can think of right now
how do you make the inside a different color than the outside in this case? i tried applying Inside Faces and Outside Faces in Voronoi Fracture but when rendered it showed the same for outside and inside
hey sir, how to add 2 textures on voronoi, for inside and outside, i clicket it but i cant add it, i doesnt apply...what make im wrong when i want more then 1 texture, or maybe gradient. see you - nice video
Please help. I just installed C4D on my Mac and did Your AWESOME tutorial, but I don't get any shine/gloss from the material, even when I've done everything just like You shown. :((((
same everything else turned out great but my material wouldn't apply or show in render. Would be great to find out why as the texture looks a lot better
Hello. This voronoi thing is cool. Im trying to achieve a roman mosaic effect but with no success. So after seeing this video I thought asking you for advise. Do you think its possible to achieve such effect with voronoi?. Is it possible to tell c4d to make a cut to every color of an image?. Example, your eye logo. Is it possible to say to c4d to cut the blue color in rectangular pieces and then do the same to the orange and black?. Thank you.
There is a way to fracture based on colors of an image I believe. I'm pretty sure I saw something like this on the MAXON3D UA-cam channel as a quick tip...also check out other Voronoi tutorials on the web, I'm sure you'll find something about it! Thanks for watching!
First of all thanks for the tut, and second of all do you know of a school or online courses where i can learn as much as i can in order to get a job related to it? I don't care what it is i just want to learn as much as i can and get a job in the 3d cg field lololol, thanks mate
Fantastic tut, still relevant after 4 years! ❤
Great to hear!!!
best instructor ever you made me love C4D
that's so freakin cool to hear! Thanks for watching & happy to help you on your 3D journey!
Thank you very much!!! especially for the lighting
very welcome! thanks for watching!
Your tutorials never disappoint. Amazing, thank you!
To avoid the struggle positioning the lights to face the object, just use a "Target" tag for it so it always faces towards the desired object :)
omg brilliant and obvious now that you say it. Thank you sir!
Thanks for this kind got my head round it. mine definitely turned down the creepy vibes but they always do. thanks

Thanks for the tutorial you helped me alot..
thanks for watching! happy to help!
Nice )
I didn’t know that Voronoi's Fracture had a huge potential to be used.
Dope tutorial. Man, when it came to the lights part I was struggling lol trying to rotate and move them was a HUGE headache, but I think it turned out alright. Thanks a lot for this.

This channel has the best c4d tutorials on youtube. You can learn a lot of cool and special things inside those making of steps. Go guy!
I love this as a graphic designer im trying to learn some new stuff so this is great!!!
Fantastic! Always excited to hear designers getting into the world of 3D! Enjoy!

Always happy to help! Thanks for watching!
@@cvlopsia647 In R21 you can find sculpting tools under the Mesh dropdown menu
Awesome tutorial as always! Thank you. Falloff weight tip is pretty cool.
Thank you for the amazing lesson. Can't wait to try this :)
Can't wait to see what you create! Thanks for watching!

You're a genius
Thanks for watching!
Great video!! Thank you very much :)
Thank you EJ you are the best.....
Nice one! Gonna use this technique
thank you I learnt a lot through this !
great tutorial, easy for beginners
thanks joss!
Could you do this on a rigged character?
Sergio for rigged characters go for Maya )
That doesn't make any sense.
I don't know about Cinema4D, but in Blender you can do it. So if Blender doest that, I really think that a expensive (professional) software would be able to do that too. Maybe I am totally wrong. We'll see.
Which operator do u wanna do it to?

Thanks for watching and subbing! Really appreciate it! :)
When you create animation in Displacer, the source of Voronoi Fracture constantly changing 17:10. Can you tell me how to solve this? Thanks
Could you perhaps animate those "loops" so that they move along the y-axis?

Please make a video how to create fake volumetric lights in octane. Their medium is noisy and does not give good volumetric spot lights. Thanks.
My answer...use Redshift! Haha...Redshift is AMAZING for volumetrics!
AWESOME
Thank you!
