I love this tutorial. The music in the background goes well and isn't annoying. You get straight to the point and are able have us follow through the steps without making a 50 minute video. Also, I'm glad you don't go through every detail (specific coordinates, numbers, etc) because it lets us use our own imagination. Thank you so much for this. I hope you continue to make more.
I saw this on your instagram a while back saved it and looked back at numerous of times for the past few months. Then this was in my recommend on this blessed day.
I think some important steps are not mentioned on this tutorial. For example, shell margin (collision tab) must be "0" and -shell object must be open from the back side too otherwise pusher object does not work. Great tutorial btw, good job. I really like the idea using boole operator for masking objects.
Awesome, I'll definitely keep an eye on these tutorials... I'm debating whether I'm ready to delve into another program, but your work is so awesome it's tempting!
Love this kinda of tutorial. Turn on some lofi hiphop, make some coffee, get some snack and Play in C4D with this tutorial. How chill the work should be. Thank you sir for the great Tutorial.
it sure helps to have C4D (any version) to follow a C4D tut. Also you can do it all with Blender if you want :D nothing groundbreaking, just wanted to share my process for this loop.
If you get slices everywhere standing up, instead of all of them on top of each other, then you need to select the 'cloner' > object > mode > linear! (I think haha)
I learnt so much! Thank you! I tried replicating this scene a while ago somehow. I thought you were masking the two shapes in after effects somehow. But this is genius! So simple. Keep these coming.
I was so close to finishing this project but then I ran into a problem where the slices would fall out and then go in all random directions and morph it's shape could you please give me a suggestion to fix this?
@Roger Kilimanjaro First of all, I'd like to say thank you very much to because in 8 minute of this tutorial gives me a lot of input, such as boolean as mask tool (this is brilliant!). And increase the step make it smooth also a new thing for me. May God bless you. Anyway Roger, I already subscribed and belled your channel. Look forward for the next tutorial. Thank you once again.
It's beautiful and fascinating, but there's no way that this is a tutorial.😁 It's a demonstration. A tutorial would assume viewers had minimal knowledge of the creative process and the operation of the software, and explain every step, every reason for making every step, give details of what and why certain things were necessary and others weren't and ... well, you know what I mean. Or perhaps you don't. After all, this Comment doesn't make itself very clear and assumes rather too much... Whatever. I didn't have a clue what was going on in this video, but I watched it twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think. It's a bit like listening to a Frank Zappa guitar solo. I can't work out what he's doing, but I like it... 🤭
At 2:41, the slice didn't fall out so I went to the slice's dynamics > Collision tab > set friction to 0%. And Cube>Dynamic body>Collision>Friction 40% working R21
Thanks for tutorial!! But i have some questions, Why I use my clone and I let the pusher push, all of cube drop out and blend together, it's not physically fall off and lay on eachother in clip? PLease help me, thank you so much.
On R26, when rotating the slice for it to come down (2:40) the cube stayed put inside the shell. To fix this, I went to the shell's soft body tag and under "Collision" I moved the Friction all the way down to 0%
You know it's going to be a good 2019 when Roger goes from Instagram to making UA-cam tutorials, truly one of the greatest Redshift and simulation artists on the market right now! I have to ask a burning question though, how soon is soon? 😂
I'm wondering what machine did you use for C4D,I've got threadripper 2990wx and duel RTX 2080 Ti ,64 GB RAM,why my dynamic simulating still take so long
Your work has really made me want to get into 3d modeling. One thing, do you work in animation or had anyone contact you about your skill? It's incredible how much you can do with this program, and I could definitely see you getting very far with your work! Can't wait to see more tutorials!
I love this video. won't you upload another more c4d tuto from now on? This tutorial seems really easy to follow for me but also beginners. If You do so, a lot of people will learn c4d easily by watching your tutos.
For those having trouble with wiggling slices, try to enable: Dynamics body tag -> Collision -> Use[check] Margin 0cm. That solved it for me on R19.
help, the slice didn’t fall into the plane like at 2:40, it just stuck in another slice
@@RidaIsakova me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how to solve it
Thanks!
Thanks!
Life saver thank you!
At 2:41, the slice didn't fall out so I went to the slice's dynamics > Collision tab > set friction to 0% :D

wow,thanks
awesome, thank you

Dude, the simplicity of your tutorial amaze me... you rock
Awesome to see you making tutorials now. Really fun to watch, great pacing.
Lowering the Friction % of the cube object (Dynamics Body -> Friction) really impacts how slippery the slices are when they collide with the plane. :)

@@xD3NN15x Your welcome. I got the same result with this little tricky steps.
thankyou very much!
thank you so much. couldn't figure why the damn thing kept stuck in the shell

Simple yet so effective! Amazing work
Thank you Cinema 4d guru. I am learning because of you. Worth following all these projects.
I'm just coming from 2D to 3D and I can't believe I haven't thought of using a Boolean as a mask.
Thank you so much!
I really want to thank you for that great chance to teach people such beautiful skills.
1st) thank you very much!
2nd) play the video 1.75x speed and you get some solid drum and bass :)
