Hey Daniel, thank you for the tutorial, very concise! One question, how you make the flower to stop bloming when the petals are already opened? I dont want it to loop infinitly
I haven't tried this, but you might be able to do it by adding a Time Effector to the cloner and setting the time value to -1F. So for every frame the petals animate forward the time effector pushes it back one frame, effectively stopping them.
Hi Diogo, I came here to do the same thing. What I found is that you have to build the flower a little differently, not using the step effector at all. Once you get to the part of the tutorial where he says to add a step effector, duplicate the cloner object a few times instead. Then, for each cloner object decrease the scale a little and change the ending keyframes so the petals land at the right amount of bending without scaling back to zero, etc. Rotate each cloner object a little so the petals aren't perfectly overlapping, either. Hope that helps. P.S. Thanks for the awesome tutorial series Daniel! Been using these techniques to make vines grow around live action subjects for a music video and it's working great.
Yeah it's such a relief to not have to endure squeaky american voices. Greyscalegorilla has great tutorials but i cannot stand that guys voice. or face.
I tried to create a leaflet at 4 minutes by creating a project 3 times from the beginning and spent an hour. I was constantly missing out on details. Even understanding the meaning itself is very difficult to grasp the essence. And in general it is very difficult to repeat it, it is really very difficult)
For those looking to just use the flower with out the animation, go to the frame you want the flower to look like. Then click on file and towards the bottom click on export, and export as .abc. A box will open, make sure you change the start and end frame to the frame you want. This will produce a file with the flower in but not the texture, just copy the texture and paste it onto the exported .abc flower
Man, I watch your videos for the content, because it's highly instructive and top quality, but I could definitly watch them just for your voice ;-) Amazing stuff dude, thanks a lot.
OOOOOH MY GOD! Thank you so much, this is the first thing I tried out in Cinema4D, and though I had to put it on half speed, it was soooo great to follow even for a total newbie, and your pleasant voice and little jokes are also a big plus. Again, thanks
I used to be addicted to your song , the one that you had given to your girlfriend , I've listened to it in repeat . It's so beautiful and of course the visuals (stars , cities at night , lights ) are sick . Thank you and keep the good work .
Hi! My petal can't do the same as yours when it came at Time Offset (7:37). Im following step by step but still didn't make it right. Why is that so? Great tutorial too. Thankyou
Thanks for the amazing Tutorial. I've struggled with the connect object in C4DtoA. Arnold can't handle this and rendering unconnected meshes :( So i exported as Alembic which then looked as it should.
I think that you are a professional designer. Simply you want to show and teach us how it's done. Thank you for this! And I like the voice, not that the gorilla has one scream))))
Hi Daniel, thank you very much for this video (I'll definitely have a look at the rest - I've already subscribed to your channel) Wonderful experience learning the process and so clearly explained with your wonderful voice AND music!
Dear Daniel, I was just checking your website and found this rose on the project you did "The X" and I felt I have seen the tutorial somewhere and came here to check in UA-cam and didn't know it was by you yourself! I also found it amazing that you also made the music for "About Time" ! You are extremely talented and I look forward to your talk and meeting you on the 10th of July! - ~Sal
Someone asked this earlier, but no one responded. How to fix the petals from overlapping? I've checked my step effector a million times, even increasing the offset, also making sure the petal's axis was centered and at the bottom.
Hello, thank you for the video!! I have a question, at 12.15, why the white color of mine only appear on the outer side unlike yours appears on the edges too? Please help!! Thank you so much
