I bought a GE 10K BTU portable AC (51.6 Lbs.) and a Champion 2500W inverter generator (39 Lbs.) for my hotshot truck. Did a video on the install. I used the two vent's on the rear of my cab for the air inlet and outlet so I didn't have to modify my cab. $450 at Best Buy for the AC and $582 at Amazon for the generator. Generator runs 6-9 hours on 1 tank of fuel (little less than 1 gal). I like it really cold to sleep and this worked great. Small $20 fan from Walmart that runs off a USB cord was the icing on the cake. For my window shades, I bought a roll of the silver stuff at Lowes - a must have unless you go with something like you have.
Thats dope man!! I didn’t want to deal with a generator and the use of space outside of the truck. This is a great option for some though that want to go that route.
I love those complete weathertech shade kits! I am one that idles my trucks.I’m thinking about jumping back into a semi just to be more comfortable when I’m out for longer distances from home.
Heck yeah bro, the shades are everything!! I idle my 2500 in the past but with this truck, the fuel consumption is high and I just try to avoid emissions problems. But the semi is definitely the way for more comfortability!

Glad I see somebody actually uses. Now I know it’s a waste of money. I love my set up 10 times better.
What set up you use
I run mine off of a predator 3500 generator, i needed that anyway for my cpap and to run the impact wrench that i carry for changing a flat if need be, i didnt buy the battery for the ac unit, works great!
I definitely could have used this when I went down to Florida. Especially when I sat for a while the next day waiting for a load. Thank you Tim and your wife for the great content.

Thanks brotha!! I’ve gotta do a video on the cell signal booster. I haven’t had much success with it or seen a huge difference. It’s made a difference on some occasions but Im trying to see if I just need to tune it somehow. But once I sort that out I’m going to definitely share it.
That thing almost will put you out of the truck. That is huge.

So what did you do drill 3 holes in your floor board to run the 2 big and 1 little hoses
I drilled 2 holes through a replaceable plate that’s on the floorboard to run all the hoses. I’ll be dropping an install video soon.
It would be coo if it was a heater/AC
We brought Eco flow it has heat and air.

In the floor?
I ran vents through the floor. In my truck there is a replaceable plate on the floor so I used that to run my vents through. You can see it in the installation video I did.
Did you drill holes in the floor for the vents
There is a removable plate that sits on the floor. It can be replaced and that what I drilled the holes through. I’m going to drop a video showing the installation probably this Sunday.
Bro not sure if you did it or not but the exhaust vent have to go outside the trunk some kind of way it will kill you carbon dioxide poisoning...

I leased on to hotshot107 when I ran non cdl. I can’t really recommend any other bc I can’t validate their operations
