Better believe he scared them away as soon as he figured out they wanted to bang him. Just make it a wild trip full of blunders. Have the character try to intrude on people's lives and try to give super nice advice like Tanjiro or some shit only to have it backfire and end up ruining peoples' lives, and cause giant kingdoms go to war with each other, resulting in widespread destruction. Everybody becomes scared shitless of the protag, believing they're the destroyer of worlds when they're just a complete bungler with social skills worse than a tick who has somehow remained unscathed through all the trouble they've caused.
7:00 yea, antagonists sometimes spend in-story years preparing their revenge and when they finally are close, they are willing to let all that time go to waste just to let the protagonist know how much he to work
Here's the thing about anime cliches is that some shows execute the cliches differently. So its not showing literally the same shit over and over again there are differences. Like the Protagonist, some share the same cliche but all of them deal with things differently. For example jojo characters are not only known for thier strength there also known for strategy against enemies stronger than them.
I like when someone is angry about cliches, when in reality some of them are just things that are just made to make the story come forward, obviusly some of them are unjustifiable, i find pretty pitty say "i can do it better", when most of them never really wrote a story before, and for everyone, writting something comepletly original is impossible and also, the problem its not the cliche its how you use it. (The video is fine by the way)
3:06 I like to imagine that they secretly realized the potential of his skill and thought, "I ain't dealing with that shit." So they just offer to be his friend and breath a sigh of relief as another victim gets demolished.
The only anime I saw that actually made the flashback thing make sense was Demon slayer, where later shinobu said that when someone is on the verge of death, we would see our life flash before our eyes to find reasons to keep on surviving. And later on, when Tanjiro (our Mc) fought a powerful demon and was on the verge of death, he saw his life flash before his eyes and it was styled to look like a flashback. Also the tsundere trope needs to die. Or at least used differently.
I'm not sure about Beastars. It has the foundations of those tropes, but it doesn't act on them. perhaps it isn't as much of a cliche because it's supposed to be more down-to-earth and realistic?
I think most of the tropes mentioned in the video are quite genre-specific, as I've only seen like 2 of them in my personal experience. If you watch different genres, you'll probably see a completely different set of tropes.
Beastars spoilers The only cliches Beastars has that Apandah listed are weak love interest, training arc (though it was short) and a power-up (Legosi didn't win even after the power-up so I'd say it gets a pass). Beastars doesn't have that many tropes compared to other shows.
I really love how Promare used the “master plan” trope. When the main villain revealed his “super evil final plan” and the main character was like “nooo don’t do that aha” he straight up threw him in prison
Honestly, with the constant flashbacks, you could start watching in the middle of an anime's run, and get all the characters motives and goals, saving you tons of episodes and time (which actually sounds kinda interesting, I might try it out).
I would like to add to those MC's -the isekai incel -walking brick wall/otherwise battlehardened badass with good morals -the innocent one, you know, the usual -the crybaby, so basically Takebitchy/Deku
despicable me 2 was revered for its twisting of animae clichés. Note the moment when Lucy announces her "lipstick taser" *after* she uses it. Absolute peak fiction.
There's also like a 40% chance your anime has a hermit ronin in it. If it does, there's an 80% chance that they do that "draws sword, everyone dies" cliche.
boy gets bullied, wishes to not be in this world, he gets summoned by royals and gets kicked out for having no power. he finds out he can level up and then he finds two to four females to be in his harem. boom, million dollar idea
I'm surprised you didn't mention the accidental pervert cliche where the main character accidentally gropes or sees the girl naked by some cosmic force bullshit and the girl violently beats him up even though it wasn't on purpose and it was just some cosmic force bullshit. Most of those other cliches in the vid I can kinda understand why they are overused even though they are overused, but that one I can't for the life of me understand why it's still a thing.

Plot twist apandah is mad cause he’s frustrated that being an anime waifu means there’s a lot of simps after him.
the “nyeheh” at 6:29 is so good, thank you apandah
“anger can make you mad” wow thanks apandah for this inspirational fact
Not to mention, when they say 5 seconds have passed when it has been 5 minutes already.
Lookin at you JoJo.
dio could have stopped time 70 times already by the time he finished a single monologue
@@jotaroswetfart6095 lmao once he got his ability he doesn't waste time using it to his advantage (spamming it)
time stopping moment
Don't forget the classic "anime protagonist loves eating tons of food" cliche
we’re looking at you, uzumaki.
"You don't have sharingan you have pink eye" that was really funny
you know that apandah got into deltarune when you hear all the bangers in the background
Ye
Deltarune OST be fire
7:00 yea, antagonists sometimes spend in-story years preparing their revenge and when they finally are close, they are willing to let all that time go to waste just to let the protagonist know how much he to work
6:53 you forget running on one direction either to the camera or somewhere else
(The video is fine by the way)
3:01 i love this joke because of the historical Context of the photos.
when the weird woman does weird sounds and someone compiles the weird sounds to a 15355 minute video
3:06 I like to imagine that they secretly realized the potential of his skill and thought, "I ain't dealing with that shit." So they just offer to be his friend and breath a sigh of relief as another victim gets demolished.
Fun fact, the reason the hero killer from BHA was such a menace is because his power gives him time to finish the monologue and get the job done.
You watch anime?
-50 social credit
Lmao
just 50?
I love how he's scrraming in the begging and there is just.. the jazz-iest Kingdom Hearts track playing in the background
4:35 accurate that kid is a gigachad and despite what i would normally say that is in fact not cringe
Enough about Anime Cliches
Let's talk about Hentai Cliches
"I like Jo-Jo"
- Peter Griffin
The only anime I saw that actually made the flashback thing make sense was Demon slayer, where later shinobu said that when someone is on the verge of death, we would see our life flash before our eyes to find reasons to keep on surviving.
And later on, when Tanjiro (our Mc) fought a powerful demon and was on the verge of death, he saw his life flash before his eyes and it was styled to look like a flashback.
Also the tsundere trope needs to die. Or at least used differently.
Based
The only way we could recycle tsunderes is as antagonists who die suffering at the end
@@roywempor8395 or make every Tsundere Rin Tohsaka
@@mirzapramudya1580 why?
@@roywempor8395 because she's the only Tsundere that actually cares about the MC lmao
@@SupaKoopaTroopa64 True. Then Beastars could be very cliche in its' own genre if that's the case.
Beastars spoilers
The only cliches Beastars has that Apandah listed are weak love interest, training arc (though it was short) and a power-up (Legosi didn't win even after the power-up so I'd say it gets a pass). Beastars doesn't have that many tropes compared to other shows.
It was made by a woman so ofc it’s better
@@edgaranalhoe7678 Hahaha
That sonic impression is low key spot on
3:10 I have took this advice and now I'm sentenced to 7 years in the Randolph county jail. Thanks apandah!
5:18 I havent laughed this hard in a while. Something about "robbing you!" Got me
I literally lost it as soon as he talked about beating the shit out of someone to become their friend.
I really love how Promare used the “master plan” trope. When the main villain revealed his “super evil final plan” and the main character was like “nooo don’t do that aha” he straight up threw him in prison
Or the sneak attack were they shout "gotcha now" and then it ain't sneaky anymore
7:50 bro what, ghost stories is the best dub of all time, I watch that show purely for the dub
Honestly, with the constant flashbacks, you could start watching in the middle of an anime's run, and get all the characters motives and goals, saving you tons of episodes and time (which actually sounds kinda interesting, I might try it out).
Apandah is still trying to find his fantasy world.
epic video even tho i didn't watch it 💀💀💀
5:37 he says something gamer related
I would like to add to those MC's
-the isekai incel
-walking brick wall/otherwise battlehardened badass with good morals
-the innocent one, you know, the usual
-the crybaby, so basically Takebitchy/Deku
Anime cliche where when the protagonist friends get hypnotized the only option are punch him to death and said "it's me your friend"
I wish certain animes werent too cliche, the Idea is great but the execution ends up cliche instead of new or an original spin on the idea
This video makes me remember why i like Death Note so much. It avoids most of the cliché anime tropes.
Quickly guys, save the part where Panda is making anime grunting noises. So we can make a fool out of him later.
despicable me 2 was revered for its twisting of animae clichés. Note the moment when Lucy announces her "lipstick taser" *after* she uses it. Absolute peak fiction.
shrek is the best anime
5:09 tbh, i'd have no idea what my opponent was going to do if they yelled "CUMGUZZLER" in the middle of a fight
I'd run
@@roywempor8395I'd stay
Also, apparently in some martial arts its believed that screaming a manthra or something makes the moves stronger
There's also like a 40% chance your anime has a hermit ronin in it. If it does, there's an 80% chance that they do that "draws sword, everyone dies" cliche.
so theres a 36% chance that any anime has thay cliche
yea that seems a bit low
boy gets bullied, wishes to not be in this world, he gets summoned by royals and gets kicked out for having no power. he finds out he can level up and then he finds two to four females to be in his harem. boom, million dollar idea
It’s true though, running with sliced bread in your mouth makes you get to you destination faster. Especially when it’s multigrain
You are the reason why I haven't watched anime in over a year now. Thank you
2:52 literally me
average "normal" anime protag: 899 iq, 230 pounds, 7'4, has one good friend, plays games 24/7, is more ripped then a race horse, has god powers.
7:54 that wasn’t technically a dub though. It was in the original Japanese recording and I guess the studio just got any English speaker they could find without taking into consideration if he was trained or if he was the perfect fit for this role.
1:35
Don't gotta do me like that
Ouch
I laughed so hard at the "announcing the attacks you do irl" and it's just "ROBBING YOU! KICK! PUNCH!" I'd lose my shit if someone did that in real life lol
CUMGAZOR!!!
have you heard of weebs
3:50 i just realized epstein was there so i then started laughing and i passed out for 5 minutes
