Woohoo! 4th video of November! I didn't think I'd upload so much in one month, but it sure took a lot of coffee and willpower!
My voice sounds kind of echo-y in some parts of the video, which I blame entirely on my room....I'm trying to fix the sound situation slowly but surely haha....
This video topic is a little different from what you're probably used to seeing, but I'd love to hear what you think! Thanks so much for your continued support, and I hope I can bring a little entertainment in your life with each upload!
December videos will be full of CHRISTMAS HYPEEEE!

I really appreciate everyone's anime suggestions! I've been trying to think of what to watch during this upcoming winter break, and so far you guys have been giving me loads of great shows! ^^
I love you Emirichu!!!❤️❤️❤️ I find your vids very hilarious!! This is just a small message from a small fan of yours😁😁🤩
Can you please do video on drawing techniques or a drawing tutorial? Love your vids btw ❤️❤️
Have you seen 'Erased'? It's really good!
I just got a drawing tablet! But I dont have a clue what drawing app I should uses. If you dont mind I would like to know what program you use and if its free or not! Thank you every much Emirichu!~
If you've never seen Mob Psycho 100, you should. It's really good, it's funny, heartwarming, and has AMAZING animation. It's somewhat different than the other animes I've seen, but that also means it avoids a lot of annoying tropes like the ones shown in this video. Or, if you prefer more gag anime, Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan is really funny and makes fun of a bunch of ridiculous anime tropes.

I hate the harem trope in general but the tropes within the harem I hate are that the male that the harem revolves around is duller than dishwater, the girls in the harem are usually classified as main girl, creepy childhood friend, pervy mature girl and underage girl.
That's literally Yandere Simulator...but thankfully YandereDev has publicly stated that while his game is surface level this type of anime trope, he himself is working on it be so much deeper. If more anime shows put this much effort into explaining why so many girls are attracted to this duller-than-dishwater boy, I think the trope wouldn't be so annoying.
@@girl1213 That game was amazing and I honestly don’t need it to be hyper complicated - it was ballsy af even when it was basic.

That's really if he decides to finish it. But with the recent updates, it makes me think that he may actually finish it, just dunno when
Pretty much DDLC.
Personally I like tsunderes as long as they’re written in a way that’s not annoying or drastic. I’d love to see a story about a tsundere that 1) doesn’t make them endlessly insult and assault the love interest, and 2) go into depth about why they hide their feelings and act cold (because honestly who would just act like that for fun? It’s more realistic for it to be derived from trauma of some sort)
I think the problem comes not from the tsundere archetype, but the fact that the character completely revolves around their love interest. I think the instances where we see good tsundere characters are when they're just detached and living their own life.
You've seen Steins Gate? Cause you just describe the main girl to a T.
I know I'm a year late to this comment but I'm currently writing a tsundere relationship with my characters! i wanna keep this in mind to not make it unenjoyable to my readers :D
Then it wouldn’t be tsundere tho if someone ain’t getting launched into orbit. Lol, most of the reasons why I stick around.
@@30ajgo tsunderes are just characters that act cold and uninterested in their crush, they don’t always have to be excessively violent. I do see the appeal of the overly violent form of the trope, it’s funny but just a bit overdone for me.

Okay, so here’s the thing about tsunderes: classically, the well written tsundere was supposed to grow out of the traits that made them a tsundere in the first place, which is why the traditional tsundere was cold to everyone else *but* their eventual love interest.
A good example is actually a character you’ve probably heard of: if you’ve heard the term “Shana Clone” then you’ve probably seen at least one character of the archetype, or done a lot of research like myself.
The term is named after a character from a light novel, I can’t remember the name of it, but I do remember the description of Shana saying that the tsundere traits lessened over time, and that some of more popular ones weren’t very prominent in the first place.
However, in modern times there seems to be a gross misunderstanding of writers on what made the tsundere popular in the first place; most of the time, they’re treated as an easy method for comedy, having their more volatile behaviors be played for laughs, while in older examples it seemed to be because they were flawed characters who developed into better, calmer people through the power of love.
At least, that’s my theory on it.
A light novel/anime that’s following the more classic example in modern times would be Remy from Rokka no Yuusha: in the beginning, she's cold and distrustful of others, and willing to admit that she was previously a serial killer of prior heroes who were supposed to protect humanity from a monster. Because the main lead is the first one to be nice to her and tries his best to protect her when paranoia's running high (think Among Us with an obvious Imposter but with no knowing who they are). This causes Remy to open up and be more trusting of others (or at least the lead). This makes an eventual reveal all the more tragic for the pairing, but it's an interesting take on the tsundere.
As an aromantic person, I see another reason to explain why I hate tsunderes. Why would someone want to date a person who acts like shit with everyone else?
@@laiclaro9100 I think you mistook when I said "cold" for "B****y": the classic tsundere wasn't that violent, nor did they treat people so horribly; the tsundere wasn't treated like an excuse for cheap slapstick, it was an actual character who went through development.
If people want a more popular example, think the infamous hot springs incidents from the Persona franchise from 3 onwards: in the original incident, it was more an excuse to go through a stealth minigame where you had to escape without getting caught, and if you succeeded, the only ones punished were the guys who had the bright idea in the first place, while a "Total Party Kill" only occurs if you fail.
Compare that with the later two incidents, which were both caused by a genuine misunderstanding and there was no way to rectify it (and in one case, the girls realize it was a misunderstanding but don't own up to it). The original was a well thought-out event in the game, while the later two just seemed to be there for cheap comedy.
And that's the sad thing about the tsundere: they've gone from a haughty, flawed character that offers dynamic development, to being a one-note joke that writers use for cheap laughs that only they think are funny.
Wait, so she killed heroes when they were trying to save humanity? I say that's pretty messed up on her part. Those heroes were good; she has no reason to kill them. That's not a tsundere. That's a psycho.
@@kichiwas-hargan4775 When I gave that description on Remy, I was hoping people would look up the light novel; for context, by the point she's being accused, Remy's become one of the very heroes that she's killed before, due to her new goal, kill the monster that led to her birth as a discardable tool that followed orders of her mother's race (Remy's a half-human hybrid). So by that point, while she was a serial killer previously, she had become a hero (and trust me, not even the other actual chosen heroes were all that good either; this is what makes it such an interesting story, no character is beyond a gray area, even the arguably good ones. The actual traitor also tells you just what kind of story it actually is).
Her distrustful demeaner is because she knows she's untrustworthy due to her past, and because she's been burned before (familially); having someone that devotes themself to her regardless of her past allows her to believe she's not beyond redemption. And then the story gives a twist that pulls the rug out from the poor girl.
Honestly, the novel doesn't make her innocent, but it does show she's pretty much a victim of circumstance.
the sheer dedication to write that out???
The first trope is exactly the meaning of yandere simulator
Exactly
I was about to write it
Thankfully I trust it when YandereDev says there IS a reason he's so attractive but it's a mystery because he wants us to figure it out or just play it straight like a Harem Anime. Better than most media playing this trope when the developer goes out of his way to explain there's an actual reason behind why the girls come to him, not just because it's a Murder Harem game. He wants there to be explanations.

One of the best parts of the Tournament of Power in DBS is when Android 17 shoots a Ki blast to the three magical girls mid-transformation. It was a hilarious subversion and moment of awareness for that trope.
Goku: "Why did you do that, 17"
17: "They were wide open. What did you expect?"
The only thing that disappointed me is that Freeza didn't do the same.
It’s like slow-mo lol
Like in miraculous ladybug when Marinette transforms inside a trash can it only takes a second but when you see her transform and you get the whole transformation sequence then it takes the full 15 seconds
Anime logic
Maybe their transformations freeze or slow time. Or they're just there to be eye candy for the viewer and they are actually going straight to the point with their transformations.

ok, now I want a tsundere who gets the drop on the protagonist once, and never again. The protagonist always has a counter and it becomes a sort of greeting ritual between them.

"Chernobyl level toxicity" is one i'm going to steal.
@@HeleentheArcane Oh, you dastardly thief! Give that back!
@Pokin Ryan Good fucking question. Maybe Japan is the Alabama of Asia.
@Pokin Ryan In Japan incest is legal
Because turns out that there isn't any actual scientific reasons why incest is "bad", it's only cultural. They do have a lot of procedures when it comes to making children and of course parents X children is illegal but they didn't really have any reason to forbid brother X sister or cousin X cousin

I get anger as a defense mechanism is normal, but going out your way to physical, mentally and emotionally harm someone you claim to love and have feelings for isn't a normal reaction. I've never seen that trope.
For me:
1) During most fight scenes, some random character will go into explicit detail about what is happening that totally ruins the moment as the most of the time what is happening is extremely obvious or would be more interesting being implied.
2) Power Levels. I find this is an arbitrary way of saying how strong a character is.
3) Non-Food anime having characters rant and in great detail talk about food to the point that you think they are trying to sell you some or have stock in some company related to it.
4) Visual contradicting where you have a female character with a very mature looking appearance...is only 15. Why? That is weird on so many levels. Or the opposite problem where a character looks like a grade school student is in their 30s or 40s.

The reason I dropped fairy tail
the way I BURST OUT LAUGHING when she started eating like an anime girl
These little animations/animatics/skits in between topics are awesome lol
This is gonna sound weird, but the Danny Phantom fandom actually did that with a background character. I'm not joking. They took a background character, gave him a name, personality, and made him be the only outside one aware of the hero's identity. No one ever believes him and the hero trolls him. It's fun.
please can you tell me their name ? I want to rewatch the show and I'm kinda interested in this kind of character
@@nekoaile This is an entirely fandom creation. I don't think he actually has any lines in the show. The name is Wes though.
@@nekoaile Wes is just a one-episode character but for some reason people have made spin-off Webtoons and Fanfics of him being a character who breaks the 4th wall by being aware of the obvious.
Also these comments are just a few days old LOL. Helloooo UA-cam Recommendations
Pretty much like derpy from mlp
That's Incredible
The anime character who’s only personality is boobs is the Japanese equivalent of the American movie with a black character who’s black and they end it there

God, your artstyle is SO CUTE AND BEAUTIFUL!😭😭😭💕💞💓💗💝💘💖 ESPECIALLY THE WAY YOU DRAW THE EYES!💖💖💖
Ok but don't you hate that one trope where the protagonist who just trained for 2 months wins against a person who has trained their whole life? Like bruh I legit would get annoyed by that trope and I am seriously loving the tsundere slander here in the comments
*Some guy that trained years with his mediocre power is very strong*
*MC enters with his ultra op 2 shot power that he got 10 minute ago and destroys the universe*
That's because the main character's dead parent is the ultimate _______ so the protagonist has the spirit of the most powerful _______ (often dragon or whatever) in him
I should be against this trope because you're right, it's not realistic or fair, but I'm one of those people self-inserting myself into the self-insert main character and I like the power trip, I'm sorry
That's the power of friendship
Lmaooo SAITAMA AND HIS 100 pushups 100 situps and 1000km run EVERY SINGLE DAY!
It’s sad because I really love the idea of a combative/cold character slowly warming up to a person, but the violent nature of most tsundere ruins it
it's a good concept just overdone in both intensity, and ubiquity.
Yesssss I hate the violence of it!
Try Kuuderes! They're characters that act completely indifferent and have a super cold exterior, and basically act like they don't care about any person, but eventually open up & warm up to those they love :D
I'm a direct guy so if a girl hits me for no reason even if she is hot I'd slap her
The closest you might get is Revy from black lagoon. That show is great.
your artstyle really comforts me

One trope that I liked in the soul eater animated adaptation is the child standing up against their abuser. Which is between crona and Medusa. If I were to remake soul eater, I would like to see crona rising up against his mother rather than just complying.
You just put my anime struggles in a video. I'm blessed
The 6th trope is literally every episode of Miraculous if Adrien and Marinette are alone... *you know I'm right*
Yep.
yes you are
Yea.
Yeah.. it’s way too accurate ngl
my first thought
Emily: "Six different girls,"
Kirito, who has at least 13 people in his harem SO FAR: FOOLISH MORTAL
Yeah, but he actually chose a girl though. Rather early on as well.
@@blazeoftherazgrizsquadron9306 you're right... but basically every female that he has come across, except for a few (Yui, Rosalia, Yuuki, others I forgot) has had a crush on him.
more like nisekoi xD
@@blazeoftherazgrizsquadron9306 I don't like harem genre but, my exceptions are when the main couple is quite obvious from early on and if there is actually a reason as to why the other characters revolve around/like the main character (by that I mean, no -he said it was okay for me to be me- bs trope seen everywhere). SAO has it's problems but I at least give them this point.
Probably a lot more if your counting the Kirito fangirls.
Disclaimer: do not continue reading if you don’t want any spoilers for the anime, Special A. Speacial A did a really fun take on the interrupted confession scene, where Kei gets a phone call while Hikari confesses. Kei’s reaction by completely ignoring the call and being completely invested in what Hikari was about to say is pretty hilarious.

i want a comedy magical girl anime where it's actually funny and the magical girl is properly disguised and not flabbergasted by the main love interest like bro..... 😭
The anime girls eat part made me laugh because it is so true. I got so used to it that I barely notice it in the actual show.
There are so many tropes I don't like, I don't know where to begin. I try avoiding them in the book I am writing. I am more bothered by infodumbs themselves than tropes where a show would explain its entire power system for 10 minutes while we stare at still images. Not that it would help if there were any animation.
My annoying anime trope suggestion is when the main character who is 12 looks like A FIVE YEAR OLD.
I think that’s because if they don’t make them look SUUUPER young, people will lewd and no one wants to see a lewd 12 year old
@@giornogiovanna8486 people will lead regardless because they’re gross
Usually the character is more 14/15/16 but regardless I understand what you mean ❤️❤️
Are people in japan really that short? In every anime that ive watched the characters were like 3ft shorter than me.
people never seem to get them correct in general. they either act like they're 16 or 5
Team Rocket: *Puts on fake mustache or janitor outfit.*
Ash: I’ve never met this man in my life.

He either needs glasses or pikachu zapped him one too many times... Probably both

Kagura's relationship with Kyo from Fruits Basket is a very good example of the Tsundere trope. First time you meet her, she grabs Kyo by his ankles and starts helicoptering into the air before bashing him into the floor.
but someone in a fruits basket episode ( I forgot which character was it) said that she was being affectionate but hurting him? like- I remember that she said a lot of nice things to him like she missed him, but is LITERALLY SMACKING HIS FACE SO HARD ITS GONNA BLEED AND HELICOPTERS HIM OUTSIDE AND BREAKS THE DOOR.
@@b0dybr3ak3r EXACTLY IT MAKES NO SENSE-

Lol, this was so fun to watch!
*when they give female characters super revealing uniforms/costumes for literally no reason*
edit: alr by ‘no reason’ i meant ‘no reasonable or ethical reason that makes sense’. i know that a lot of shows do this for ‘fanservice’, attention or to attract creepy people online for the money. what im saying is i kind of disregard that as a reason because i don’t believe it’s appropriate to sacrifice the image of minors and females in general for a few dollars, though i know there are reasons behind it. i hope that clears things up about my ignorance; and pls only start respectful debates in the replies, not fights :)
Hanji what are you doing here
Especially when they’re minors, it’s so gross
yes hanji. glad you dont have one!
Here is my reason: "I really love this pose, and I've gotten the anatomy down amazingly! Now I just gotta add the outfit..." and then I stress for fifteen minutes because I'd have to erase huge chunks of the pose I spent so long perfecting, just so I can give them a normally lengthed skirt. I make the outfits revealing because I want to show off ALL my work, especially the difficult parts like posing and anatomy. Also girls are very pretty...
But a bunch of fully grown men animating a show meant for millions of other people can't exactly use the same excuse as a 17 year old girl drawing for the fun of it.
@@dreamingpichu2334 true, that’s a good reason from an animator’s pov. to be more specific, i think this is just annoying when it’s applied to minors and examples you mentioned - but you definitely have a point!

"It's not that I like you or anything"
"It's not like I like you or anything"

The misunderstanding thing was recently occurred in one anime I was watching ( I dont watch Sohjo anime so it was my 5th or 6th shojo anime) it was so painful to watch but I am glad it lasted only 2-3 episode but I loved that later cause the female character grows through it from her, "oh everyone is better then me, they are are so nice to mee,I am a bother" she gains courage in this time period and character growth of her was the best thing,I loved how writer did it.
I once saw an anime, where the two main characters are sitting together eating sandwiches, the male character finished the sandwich in three bites and was eating his third sandwich, while the female character was still nibbling half of the sandwich. I know that some people eat in very small bites, but I don't think it's to that extend.
Yeah ._.

i think its because they wanted to make the girl look cute?
Was one heavy and the other medic

A trope I HATE, is where the lead characters are Obviously in love, but it’s revealed the mc is a descendant of someone the love interest cared for/ was in love with. (This is usually done with the love interest being immortal or ageing very slowly).
Before the reveal, the love interest doesn’t show much affection to the mc (if any at all). Tho they give JUST enough hints so the audience knows that they are in love/ care for the mc. (the audience will usually be able to hear the love interest’s thoughts). When it’s revealed, the love interest suddenly become more caring/ less distant or will finally admit to themselves they love the mc. (They make the love interest part of the ‘tsundere’ trope).
This makes it look like the love interest is pushing their past emotions onto the mc. sometimes even treating them as they would of treated their past love, (An example is: fulfilling a promise they made to their past love. But w the mc). It makes it seem like they don’t love mc for being mc, this just makes the whole relationship after the reveal feel fake 😅
I had this issue with Inuyasha. I'm not convinced that his love for Kagome didn't have anything to do with Kikyou. If anything, it was his chance at another life with her, otherwise what was the point of making the love interest the reincarnation of his first love interest?
I had the same problem w a different anime. Long story short the reveal that the mc was a descendant of the love interests past love just ruined their (previously well written) relationship for me.
4:30 I’d like to formally be known as Cassandra now.
The “falling on some guy/girl and accidentally kissing them”
or touching their boobs -_-
You're watching wrong genre I guess...
*cough cough* Naruto and Sasuke *cough cough*
It can go any of these ways.
1. Guy falls and touches girls boobs
2. Guy falls and lands on girls boobs
3. Girl falls and lands at guys feet and immediately has a crush on him
4. Girl falls on top of guy and her boobs press against his chest (or vice versa)

One of the reasons I like the Chinese magical show "Balala Xiao Moxian." Magical girl show where the girls actually completely change their appearances. (Meanwhile, that one magical boy: [lol I didn't say it was perfect in this aspect either])
They still do the thing where the villains wait 5 minutes each transformation sequence, though. Seriously, villains deserve some politeness award.
