Thank you for your video. I just bought a set of the Thunder knives. I enjoy all your videos, you are very well spoken, knowledgeable and have great talent. Thank you for your straight forward explanations and expertise! Best Wishes!!!
Another great recommendation! I bought a Cold Steel Tru Flight Thrower a while back on Daniel's recommendation and loved it. This time he sold me on the JXE JXO Thunder, very different from the Cold Steel. I bought them to work on no spin, but as he said in the video they can be used for full spin, half spin, or no spin. Whichever you prefer they work. I just can't seem to get the release right using his hammer grip for no spin, but with these knives I am finally getting some solid sticks using the Fedin style of throwing. The release on that style is not easy either, but easier for my mind to visualize. It may be temporary, but I picked them up on Amazon for even less than he quoted, $39 for a set of 3. These are solid throwers at that price. Thanks for the videos, great job.
@@411Outdoors What do you think are the best no spin knives?I personally use a Cold steel sure flight but they are not that great from the distance of a 10 yards.
@@ThirdoptionJCSU I really do believe these are some of the best for the price. They are very heavy. Wyatt Hines knives on UA-cam makes a great spike His contact is in the about section but these Thunder are great
Im new and learning no spin throwing I've been trying a few different styles of knives to see what i prefer, the jxe jxo reborn i gave to my son, i like how they throw but i did have a slight burr on the ones tip which i used my axe stone to grind away. I have a wicing set with needle points that have held up, i like them. The hitdudu beak i really like and its tip is still pointy sharp and lastly I have the thrw club shadow ive been primarily using, its needle sharp tips have not lost anything and look like new still. Ive fired all of them into a sheet of 3/4" plywood full force close range with excellent penetration and no damage. I just ordered the thunder, i have to say that hammer grip throw looks interesting, i will have to give it a try. As always thanks for the video
These are great throwing knives. I have multiple sets of the 8.1" bo-shuriken throwers, the 9.4" No-Spin throwers, and a set of these Thunder throwers (original with the tip issues, and this set you've reviewed). While for me the Thunders are a bit too heavy (my way of saying I need to practice more, lol), they are power houses when it comes to throwing. They really "Thunk" the target with a lot of force. I really wouldn't be surprised if people were to start using these in competition. And actually now that I'm thinking about it, 411Outdoors was the first videos I saw for JXE JXO throwers, and was my inspiration for getting my first set. That being said, Thanks a lot Dude!!!
Brother, thank you so much for this video. The Thunder Thrower JXE JXO The No Spin Throw Technique The Paracord\Tape Upgrade on the Handle in conjunction with the Hammerfist Grip I really truly appreciate every bit of information on this. Thanks for this and the Review.
Thank you for the mention, and Wyatt makes a killer spike. These look great. I've seen tests done, and when thrown into soft or even fibrous material, stabbing is better. The sudden stop is why the knife, when thrown, drives into harder material like wood. When you're stabbing, the force is less on immediate contact, but the stab has more continuous force to push into soft or fibrous materials. I hope that makes sense. Stabbing into a bone is really hard, but throwing into bone is way easier. You can throw into ckear ballistic gell and get a few inches but stab all the way in. Either way, you're in bad shape 😂😂😂 no doubt that stabbing generates a lot of force. Awesome video brother.
I've been leaning towards the ice pick route for self-defense, the difficulty is getting a sheath. I'm considering taking 12 inch nails and turning them into throwing spikes with a DIY handle. I'm thinking I could make and carry two of them. One to potentially throw, and one to use as an ice pick. Two questions for you: 1. Is this a terrible idea? 2. Do you have any idea how to find a sheath that could go inner waistband and accommodate a "discreet carry concepts" clip?
Honestly, I think it sounds really awesome lol I definitely believe in the effectiveness of Instinctive combat throwing. And to have something that stays with you is perfect. As far as the sheet goes, you could just look for any kind of tube to slip it down into probably have to improve a bit.
I bought the "throwing spikes super heavy" 6pack from jxejxo. After ja few throws all the tips are broken... In Amazon the same problem is written in the comments. Is this set better or brake the tips too? Sorry for my german school english...😊
They did produce a set a while back that had some really bad tips. I reached out to the manufacturer and told them that they would have to strengthen the tips and these came out not long after that and they have very thick tips.

Love to see one with a ballistic dummy of some sort to see how deep they'd penitrate
When my channel gets bigger, I’m going to buy all kind of ballistics
Check out Pro Knife Thrower. He has a video of a knife thrown at a ballistic head

Very welcome!
Dang! Those are some nice knives. Add to the wishlist lol!
Oh yeah! Those are beastly.
Pretty nice. Oh btw if you pour boiling water over that paracord wrap it will shrink to the handle & stiffen up a bit.
Nice tip! Did not know that
